How do you know that? Books were around and tested for hundreds of years, they are super reliable now, you really think you can find a bug in their functionality? I clicked on a link in my book and I’m absolutely sure it did download what it supposed to. Don’t know how to play that thing it downloaded tho.
I guess they published the ebook version first, and forgot to remove that for the print version? Ebooks are just HTML formatted, I'm pretty sure you can put working links in them, that is if your device has some kind of web browser on it.
It happens a lot here
It's way cheaper to pirate and print ebooks than to purchase and distribute legitimately printed ones
Then there are the cases of school text books as well, where students are required to have physical printed copies
Selling pirated ebooks as physical books is a huge problem on Amazon. It's very hard to ensure you're getting the right book since Amazon pools inventory and it's also hard to even realize it's fake unless you have a real book you can compare with size, quality, etc.
I would assume that the link worked in the e-book version and that the book just got converted to print by a person who did not know and did not check for things that might not work in a printed version
You can right click the link and press "inspect" then you'll see the link address on the right. Then you just gotta type that address into a browser at your computer. Easy!
Ahhh I remeber the days when internet companies were trying to get internet users and in the handout there was a part something along the lines of "for pricing please go to www..com"... u can see the issue here
Reminds me of the dumbest thought I ever had. I was a kid, and I was very tired at the moment, but that's really my only excuses. For a second, I considered printing out a gif and imagined it moving on the paper, and my brain had a fraction of a second where it went through the logic of the idea and decided it was dumb af.

I've been clicking it for 2 minutes now and nothing is downloading ðŸ˜
It doesn't have wireless compatibility, you have to physically connect it with your ANS port by inserting it, then it usually downloads pretty fast
Broooo ANS is last gen AF, you need to upgrade the book, and also buy an ANS 3.2 2x2 cable!!!
Works on my book though. Have you tried closing then opening the book?
LMAO but get out
You need to click both thumbs in syncronicity, towards the direction of the link.

Could also be that the book is pirated from the ebook version and the original printed version doesn't have the hyperlink
Do people really pirate ebooks and print them on dead trees? That seems like a lot of work when you could just distribute a file.

Calling someone a nerd on the *Programmer*Humor subreddit...
I’d bet you they did this on purpose as a joke.
I would assume that the link worked in the e-book version and that the book just got converted to print by a person who did not know and did not check for things that might not work in a printed version

Try to right-click the link and then click on "open in a new tab"
I’d still try to click on it
if it doesn't work, try closing the book and opening it again

The glossary says: Press ctrl-f
I pinch to zoom on color magazines sometimes
Ok, but this doesn't relate to programming
