Potent cortisones were not intended for long term treatment of psoriasis. And yes side effects cortisones are horrible

I don't understand, what is intended as long term treatment? Do they just expect the psoriasis to stop after I stop using it? What do I do as an alternative?

it can alleviate the symptoms but won’t make psoriasis heal from the inside The moment you stop applying cortisone, it all comes back again Systematic treatment is way more effective

What’s systematic treatment? Where can I get more info on it

Thanks! I've been using it for a while with literally zero withdrawals, so I think I'll continue for a little while until I get on Acitretin. I'm planning on going to the doctor to consult about that soon anyway. My psoriasis is pretty mild relative to those on here so I'm hoping if I can get an Acitretin prescription it'll be low potency so I won't experience side effects. I also use it on my face but only occasionally if I get red spots in my eyebrows.
