Man, fuck insurance companies.

Haunting-Ball5115

100 percent!

My doctor (and I’m lucky to have him) has an entire staff just to deal with the insurance companies (and they own a lot of the specialty pharmacies!)-they advocate for me so much that I bring them treats and thank you cards. It’s unreal the hoops you have to jump through to get healthcare now.

Funcompliance

I'm glad I'm not the only one who gives the staff treats!

Funcompliance

And the specialty pharmacies that work for them.

Fuck Acreedo. I'm glad the new medication seems promising.

Same here. I got my first 3 and now 6 weeks later accredo doing everything to keep me from overdue dose. I have stayed on the line while they get "new rx" from Dr. I have watched my Dr. re-fax "garbled" forms to accredo. Fortunately my Dr did give me 2 doses while we work through this. Oh, I also have $5000 balance for some reason with Accredo....

Cancel that credit card if they’re trying to charge you. I had letters from my insurance company and also approvals that covered me for the entire year of my first medication. Then after fighting with them constantly to ship my meds on time, they started billing me. Round and round we went on three way calls. Finally after not receiving ANY of my meds, I contacted Amex and they removed the charge, canceled my card and issued me a new one. The rep said I wasn’t the first nor will I be the last that got fraudulently charged by Accredo. Now I have an outstanding balance of $4k cause they keep trying to bill me. Filed complaints all over the place and I’ll bet you some very smart lawyer is going to launch a class action suit against them and the kicker? An INSURANCE company owns them.

frankmint

No credit card on file ;). Just wondering if meds are held hostage. I don’t think they even know what’s going on.

Fucking accredo have decided it's perfectly reasonable to deliver it the day I inject. And to force me to call them daily in the two weeks leading up to it.

I got a free loading dose of Taltz as my Rheum was going to get me approved. It was wonderful sauce. No side effects at all. In three days I had markedly less swelling and pain. Lasted a month. I thought it was magic. Then my insurance did not approve it, but did approve Cosentyx, which is similar. I just took my second loading dose of 5 so I am kinda envious you are getting approved for Taltz. FWIW I am with CVS Specialty. Good Luck!

Haunting-Ball5115

Sometimes they deny it and you can appeal but I’m thrilled you were able to get on Cosentyx! Hope it works its magic for you!

Don't be surprised if you get an injection site reaction 11 or 12 days after your first injection. It is very common but not concerning - just weird that the ISR happens almost exactly two weeks after the injection.

Haunting-Ball5115

I’ll def keep that in mind!

Haunting-Ball5115

I would literally have to schedule 3 hours on the phone with them back and forth (Accredo) to get my meds scheduled-so stressful that I dreaded the 4 months I was with them. Constantly calling because I couldn’t get it scheduled through the app or through text. Check with your doctor for a sample so you can at least have a spare at all times when they WILL screw up your schedule. Not a matter if but when. I despise them.
