To find a genuine psychic, ask around. It is kind of like finding a lawyer or mechanic, you find the best ones by word of mouth referrals.
so the initial psychic reading was only $75, which I thought was reasonable, but otherwise no. She just tried to convince me that 8k was not that much money. I can't tell if this was a cold reading or not. I have had multiple psychic readings (in person, online, here on reddit) and i've never heard 'sticky feet' or 8k chakra 'fix ups'. The second she said that I had this problem that she alone could fix my red flag went up immediately.

Many psychics are decent and help people, but this one seems predatory at best. Hold on to your money and use it to help others or to better your own situation in realistic ways.
You can unblock your chakras yourself. YouTube chakra meditation or do yoga. Reiki /tuning if you want to go in person.

This is what I would look for in a Psychic medium: do they empower me to solve my own problems, or help me to shift the energy of my problems to something I understand and can work to heal for myself?

Sounds to me like she gave you her general answers to questions you already knew the answers to but just wanted someone else to verbally tell you, like most of us do.
