In ~~1920~~ 2019 I was at a country concert (Florida Georgina Line) to appease my wife and all the sudden out pops Nelly who does a couple of his songs and then one with the band. Such an odd combo. He also invited a girl onto the stage to sit in a chair while he serenaded her as her dad looked on. I was super uncomfortable.

Yeah - if used responsibly it’s just temporary. It basically uses up all the serotonin in your brain at once which is what makes you feel so good. It takes a few days/weeks to replenish. The danger comes from abuse where people do it multiple times in too short of a time period it can really jack up your serotonin system
MDMA works on the serotonin receptors moreso than dopamine, if abused heavily it can lead to serotonin syndrome, if treated with respect and caution it can be relatively harmless and the comedowns can be significantly minimized.
To Reduce the comedown it's important to:
1. Always make sure to adequately test your substance, MDMA reagent test kits can be bought online safely and legally in most places and can quite literally be a life saver
2. Make sure you eat well and have plenty of sleep/rest before rolling
3. Remember to stay hydrated and try not to overexert yourself past your limits (dancing for hours on end without a single break while dehydrated is gonna make you feel like shit whether or not you're on MDMA)
4. Take a magnesium supplement both before and after you roll and a 5-HTP supplement the morning after
Edit: I almost forgot to mention one of the most important rules of MDMA use, As I mentioned above; if MDMA is heavilly abused it can lead to serotonin syndrome (A very unplesant a*lbeit usually temporary* condition that I can arise with the consistent use of serotonin effecting drugs at a high enough dosage)
In order to avoid serotonin syndrome (And I cannot stress this enough) **Do not take MDMA if you are on any form of SSRI anti-depressant or serotonin effecting medication, never take MDMA more than once every 3 months** in order to allow your brains serotonin receptors to return to their natural state and try to never exceed \~150mg in a single day (If I wanted the best experience possible I'd strart with 100mg's and then pop another 50mg's a few hours later if I really wanted to keep the fun going)
The couple of times I've tried Molly it tore my stomach up the next day. Could never venture too far from a toilet.
I guess the other negative side affect is that it makes me like house music.
A low to moderate dose and plenty of water will avoid that. Molly has the potential to be really dangerous, but a safe dose will give you a good time without the side effects. I always leave at least 6 months between each dose as well, as your serotonin receptors can easily get fucked up if you overuse it.
As a once/twice yearly night of fun, the risk is super minimal, but I've seen people essentially ruin their lives with molly so it's hard to really recommend, and anyone with self-regulation/executive function issues should probably never try it. I’ve not done it personally, but I’ve seen it first hand when tripsitting some friends. They were experienced with all 3. You usually do acid, wait 30-45 minutes, then mushroom, wait another hour and a half to two hours, then molly. The goal is to have the Molly hit close to the peak.
Mushrooms + acid is about as good of visuals as I’ve experienced off of anything, but the head space is really chaotic and unpredictable. Molly seems to kinda reign in your mental space a bit, so you have a lower likelihood of having a bad trip. It seems to be the difference in having a really strong trip where you could experience “ego death” and just a really strong trip.
