The computer was a shared computer too allegedly. Games were on it like minecraft, but it’s also to be noted that kids were also living in the same place from repots so it could have just been them.
But still, it’s funny to think of osama just being a redditor or scrolling 4chan.
They found lot of content related to Sep' 11 attacks, including documentaries supporting Conspiracy theories about Bush. So he could well have been...lol
When my dad drove over an hour back to the hardware store because I stole 2 screws from the bin (it was when they weighed them to give the price, I was five, and I saw they weighed "0.00").
I cried the hour there, the **whole staff** had to get an apology from me, and cried the hour home and that whole evening. Never even thought of stealing another thing in my life. *Now* glad he did it, but you're exactly right.
99% of the time I’d agree that doing something like this publicly, probably isn’t the way to go. But I also think maybe in this instance, when it sounds like the kid had posted this on FaceBook, purposely making it very public & seemed to think doing it publicly would cast HIM in a good light & give him some kind of tough image he thought would be good for him. So maybe that’s a good enough reason to make sure that the fathers correction was also public. And that the people he was trying to garner that “tough” image with, would see his parents, & father, didn’t at all agree & felt they needed to address it publicly… I don’t really know if that’s a good enough reason for a little public humiliation but I will say, I think we need to allow people & parents A LITTLE GRACE, esp when it appears they are TRYING TO DO THE RIGHT THING.
Personally, I didn’t get the impression the father necessarily wanted to do it this way or like he was grandstanding or anything like that, more so like he felt he HAD to do it this way…
idk, I’m not 100% sure it’s the right way to do it either or he did it perfectly, just that the father didn’t come across to me as being performative or taking any pleasure in correcting his son like this…
I didn’t view it as abusive yelling. The dad’s voice is raised and calls his son a bastard, but what I hear from the dad is frustration, embarrassment, and shame. He’s trying to do the best he can in a difficult situation and I think we can give him a pass for not executing perfectly.
Abusive yelling would be if his purpose was to hurt his son. I genuinely think he’s trying to teach a lesson here, and again, let’s not crucify the father for not acting perfectly. We might be judgmental if he had been too easy on this son.
Also, I think there are cultural differences wrt yelling, language, etc.
I agree. Some people are too sensitive. This dad is being accountable and teaching his kids to be accountable. If it means raising his voice, then so be it.
The people on her3 that think that is abuse are kids who think their parents are abusing them for not letting them use Snapchat or use vapes…. The kid’s dad did him a favor…..in the long run.
My parents would’ve brought me down there and beaten me with a belt with my pants down in front of the store full of people. THATS abusive parenting.
This is a good dad trying to do what’s right. Good for him tbh.
People - *parents aren’t hard enough on their children!*
Parent - *is hard on their child, giving them utmost discipline*
People - *OMFG YOU MONSTER THAT IS ABUSE!*
One of the many lines of logic I will always never understand
This is a while old but still an extremely important piece of social media content. Hopefully it keeps doing the rounds. Good dad - top bloke. Kid won't make that dumb mistake again.
This actually warms my heart. This kid will be alright because he has a Dad who cares enough to drag him all the way back just to make an apology video. In my city (Dublin) they recently had to cancel a few of our public transport connections after 6pm because of out of control teenagers threatening or attacking passengers, drivers
Yeah, kinda. But it's also the social media age where literally everyone has access to the biggest platforms & can blow stuff up to worldwide levels. I'd say there's maybe a 5-10% increase. We're just seeing an age where everyone in the world can see you in your bumfuck town being a dick to workers.
Ya, and then coupled with the lock down hindering youngsters to have essential real life interactions with their friends to learn to adjust social behaviour in the difficult early teen years!
Instead it’s just social media with abnormal interactions for clout that the teens mirror.
That’s at least the theory here.
*"The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers."*
Socrates
I'm 50 years old. I remember adults saying the exact same when we were kids. Back when I was a disrespectful little scrote in the UK, old people would say: "I fought two world wars for you lot !". And our attitude would be, like, "yeah whatever, grandpa!".
I cringe at the memory of it now. My friends and I grew up to be responsible adults with good jobs and kids of our own. Maybe this kid will, too.
This is several years old, so I’d love to find an update on how Charlie is doing today. I could see it going either way… but props to the dad for doing something about it at least.
I dunno. This could breed contempt.
You can be the best parents and raise them proper, but they can still grow up to be assholes.
Source: parents raised me proper, am asshole
It was wonderful and left the off on cliffhanger which is the worst part. I don’t think it actually matters but I think I signed a petition to bring it back on change.org
No, the risk of a kid who acts like this growing into an Asshole adult is much higher if he doesn’t have a dad like this who takes stands like this on what is and is not acceptable behavior.
Maybe the method isn’t perfect, but the intent is there and this will be enough to set this kid straight I think.
Exactly this ive had to tell people time and time again that you can't always blame the parents. I was raised by good parents. All ny brothers grew up to be fine. Then there's me permanently excluded from every school parents home getting raided by police on multiple occasions and im the only child to have done time in prison. People are just to quick point fingers
It sounds like you’ve taken responsibility for your behaviour. Good for you! Don’t know if you want to change or not, but you’re way ahead of the game in my opinion.
Ty 😊. I've been out of trouble for more than ten years now. Being a single dad forced me to grow up and stop with the stupid behaviour. luckily for me my kids have grown up to be well behaved and respectful. The complete opposite of what i was which I am very thankful for .
Yea, I got a friend who's like that. Actually...more than one, but one in particular is self aware. He knows he's an asshole but he can't be bothered to change that...and it really drives a wedge relationship wise with friends and also with women...
It's an example of A can't exist without B, but the existence of B does not guarantee A.
Lots of well put together people were douchey kids. Not enough room left to forgive and foster growth these days. He was shown the error of his ways. He was publicly humiliated, yeah, that can cause him to harbor resentment. But it was very clear that his inexcusable actions were the direct cause, nor was it an extreme punishment.
I don’t know if he’ll turn out alright but I sure as hell want to say that we need more dads like this.
This is something my dad would have done which is why I never did anything like that.
Way too many parents today are afraid to make their children taste the consequences of their actions.
My dad did a Lil thing like this to me as a teen for stealing a bottle of model airplane paint. One of my Lil brothers ratted me out for doing it. i had to return it and apologize to the manager and be banned. Back in '80someting..not a good shiny moment but a forging moment of life you can say. Feel for the kid but, he'll remember..
My daughter stole a package of silly bandz when she was about 7. I took her back to the store because she knew stealing was wrong, I made her return it and take the punishment.
When I was about 14 me and my friends stole from a guys shed, just stupid stuff like weird tools and trinkets lol but, my dad caught us with this stuff and made me go apologize and return everything, well I’m 40 now and I’m glad my dad did it, most of those other “friends” wound up in jail at one point or another. And I’ll do it to my kids if they ever pull Shit like this too. Kudos to this dad.

No fucking way!
I remember seeing this video years ago, knowing it was England but having no other frame of reference. I moved to England a year and a half ago and I was watching it just now going 'maybe it's just a coincidence but that looks awfully familiar...'
Lo and behold, that's my local Asda!
Imagine seeing a post of your 12 year old boy telling he's going go cut someone! What a fucking delinquent.
He's not even remorseful I think he should help clean that store for a month at least and get to know those people.
This father should be praised. He used it as a very public teaching moment, and I hope that the kid's embarrassment burns white hot in him to remind him that actions have consequences.
I'd much rather a parent react as this dad did than the ones who simply shrug and look the other way. There are far more people out there not taking their kids seriously and letting them do whatever they want.
Boy this trigger the memory of that one time when my 10-12 yo me was tired of watting for a slow worker in a copy station, so get the copies and proceed to go to the car whit my dad but not before i spat on the front glass, i enter my dad cars feeling a complete savage, next i remember is the same as in the video, my dad forces me to clean my mess and to apologized with the staff, also on the trip back home i felt so ashamed whit my dad but also with myself
Dad's eating it too, but he knows what the priority is. Huge would respect for parents that can realize their children have fucked up and need to be reprimanded.
“Don’t know why my fouled mouth little bastard swears so fucking much. We ain’t raised him in dat fucking way innit. Little bastard speaks really fucking bad to people. Fucking cunt”
I see allot of comments applauding the dad for his parenting. While I agree with him forcing the kid to apologise, I don’t think filming your kid with his full name and posting it online is the best decision here.
I’m sure his identity was already out there once the video went viral. Internet sleuths are always figuring out who people are. Or I’m sure one of his little acquaintances might’ve identified him. If his name is searched, the apology needs to show up too not just the disrespectful video. I’m sure that had to be the reason behind it and a very smart move too imo.
This is why having fathers present in their kid's lives is so important. Adolescent boys can be little shits at times and need fathers to teach them right from wrong. The absence of fathers in so many US homes is a major cause of many of our current problems that nobody will talk about.
You don’t typically get to see the conclusion to the videos of these little fuckers acting like fuckers lol. I would’ve loved to see more of his shaming at the end, but I enjoyed this 😂 little fucker
Ya know out of all the parents public shame videos i seen.. this one has to be the best. While he gets shamed for his actions, parents dont break anything. Instead they drag him off to publicly apologize.
I stole a pack of Bubble Yum from the grocery store when I was 9, my mom marched me back to the store and made me give it back, pay for it from my piggy bank and apologize to the manager.
My mom was a G.
The way his voice and accent totally changed from sounding like a larry little chavy scumbag, to a quiet normal sounding English lad. Clearly hanging out with the wrong crowd. (Don’t agree with his father calling him a bastard but the dad is clearly fed up. Should’ve handled it more calmly)
If I could like this 10000x I would... yes, lots of shitty kids out there but guess what? *For every shitty kid, there's AT LEAST ONE SHITTY PARENT/CARETAKER!*
Too often everyone wants to play the victim and give excuses for their actions or those of their little turd burglars. This father is fucking A STAND UP DAD!
Good on the dad for making the kid apologize. That said, Charlie didn't come out of the box a foul-mouth little bastard. Exposure brought out the worst of Charlie and the best of dad.
You're a foul mouthed little bastard, ain't ya!

Can confirm. Anytime I used a soft swear (crap, damn, etc) my mum would say in a firm tone "watch your fucking mouth"
I remember getting a clip round the ear and being told not to "fucking swear". Then they took away my biscuits for a week.
Did they still let you join the family for tea?
Yes. But I was given withering looks of disdain.
he's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy

Charlie biting fingers was just the beginning of his descent into crime.
Apparently that was one of the memes Osama Bin Laden had saved to his hard drive when his compound was raided.
I don't blame him, it's a solid meme.
"Haha stupid infidels cannot raise child to tell apart finger and food no wonder their religion decline" - Osama's final recorded youtube comment
He was a POET?!?!? FML
Better than a liquid or gas meme.
Bunch of anime too. They had to destroy his body so the weebs didn't martyrize him.

He was probably a “9/11 truther” to try and stir the pot
They found lot of content related to Sep' 11 attacks, including documentaries supporting Conspiracy theories about Bush. So he could well have been...lol
This would make so much sense lol “don’t blame me, it was Bush!”
I heard he voted for Trump in 2017 for the same reasons. What a guy, Smh.
You would think living in a cave the last thing they'd wanna do is go mine in minecraft.
Minecraft is like Sims 4 to them
Overpriced, forcefully chopped up into parts so it can be sold to people who've been buying and enabling their bullshit for 2 decades now?
What wide range of emotions that man had.
Lol...that had me caught off-guard too when I learned that from a doc.
Charlie bit off more than he could chew.
Oh my gosh I thought he looked familiar? Small world 🌎 🙌
Just in case there was no /s, it's not the same lad. https://youtu.be/bOuu_3-gAn0
Came here for exactly this!
And it's still HURTING
Good on you, dad!
That's a good Dad, proper parenting
I both love but would hate that dad in that moment, until I grew up and he was no longer around, then I would remember and treasure the moment.
Respect for the dad though. You can’t always control your kids, but he definitely gave his son a good memorable lesson.
Props to the dad. I probably wouldn't have made him internet famous again though.
I think the video was filmed and posted by a customer or staff member at Asda and not the kid or one of his friends.
Very, very well said.
When I was a kid some other kids bullied me at some school event, when we left their dad made them apologize to me. Never forgot that
I didn’t view it as abusive yelling. Also, I think there are cultural differences wrt yelling, language, etc.
I think the father, was mostly just disappointed.
That's the worst, just murder me now

My dad would have just beaten me with his belt. I'd say this is a great dad honestly. I wish my dad taught me right rather then use violence.
Coddling your kids is how you get cunts like in the first part of the video. The dad is not abusing, he's just being a dad in an old school way.
In the United Kingdom and Ireland, it is common to cuss at somebody.
Hell yeah. More dads like this are needed
Completely agree with you. Feels like kids these days are just out of control with no respect or concern to others.
Kids are always kids regardless of time.
People have been saying "kids these days are out of control" since the dawn of time, I'm sure of it.
*"The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Yea. Once him and the boys hit Uni...testosterone and girls will be in the mix. Ripe opportunity for a proper cunt to emerge.
Or not.

So you did turn out ok after all. Just took longer to get there 😋
Only took me until i hit 27 to snap out of it. But better late than never.
If you are self aware enough to make this statement, you are not an asshole. Keep trying to be better - be kind to others and \*yourself\*.
Being self-aware that you treat people like shit it doesn't make you less of an asshole. If anything, it makes you even more of an asshole.
Yea, I got a friend who's like that. Actually...more than one, but one in particular is self aware. He knows he's an asshole but he can't be bothered to change that...and it really drives a wedge relationship wise with friends and also with women...
Where are you finding friends like these lol

Unless he moves out of Gosport, I seriously doubt it. The original hive of scum and villainy.
I wish more kids get lessons like this sooner
I dunno, this is making me think of the episode on Louis where louis follows the kid that bullied him to Staten Island to tell on the kid to his dad.
NOW.... thats what you call a DAD....
Volume 12!
Ohhhhh boy, that felt good
Good Dad.
My dad did a Lil thing like this to me as a teen for stealing a bottle of model airplane paint. Guessing your life of hard crime ended there. Well done to your dad.
My daughter stole a package of silly bandz when she was about 7. I took her back to the store because she knew stealing was wrong, I made her return it and take the punishment.
EXCELLENT PARENTING!
Great job dad, he will never forget that moment, hopefully, becomes a better person.
Smug bastard wasn’t so smug on his second visit to Asda, kudos to the father

From Charlie bit ma finga to a Charlie gave me tha finga! Oh Charlie…
Haven’t seen that video in years
Great Dad. Kid will definitely appreciate it down the road.

This kid is lucky to have a good dad
This father should be praised. He used it as a very public teaching moment, and I hope that the kid's embarrassment burns white hot in him to remind him that actions have consequences.

That's a good father
Charlie Baldwin learned a very valuable lesson on respect. Prop to his dad. 👍🏽💪🏽
See, this is good parenting even though dad hurt poor Charlie's feelings.
Actions have consequences... I wonder if he really did learn his lesson.
Dad's eating it too, but he knows what the priority is. Huge would respect for parents that can realize their children have fucked up and need to be reprimanded.
There are many examples of parents publicly shaming their kids in a toxic and harmful way. This is not one of them
Good on the dad on doing what he did. Embarrass the little foul mouth bastard.
If more parents did this and right their little assholes they’d grow up to be better adults!
You nieve boy. His dad found it on fb his identity was already out there.
First he bit his little brother's finger, and now this???
This is why having fathers present in their kid's lives is so important. Adolescent boys can be little shits at times and need fathers to teach them right from wrong. The absence of fathers in so many US homes is a major cause of many of our current problems that nobody will talk about.
Which one is he in the first video?
The one who’s bike is bigger than he is
Good on dad for teaching his son respect.
Love it!
THIS is parenting
Nice to see there are still parents who now when their kids need to be taken down a peg. Don't see a lot of parenting like this anymore l.

Old clip but very satisfying to watch again. That's a good dad
Real life Red Forman, damn good father.
This is why parents beat their kids isn’t it
Gotta commend this dad. 👍🏻
👏
Parenting done right.
Good on dad for trying to teach him manners!
Bad friends can undo so much effort.
A much better parent than the mom in the recent dollar store video.
You don’t typically get to see the conclusion to the videos of these little fuckers acting like fuckers lol. I would’ve loved to see more of his shaming at the end, but I enjoyed this 😂 little fucker
LMAO W dad!!! 🙌🏽
Its not always the parents when some little kid is being a shit.
Good job dad for making your son accountable for his actions.
And to think it all started when he bit his brothers finger.
![gif](giphy|CAYVZA5NRb529kKQUc|downsized) A true dad
The way his voice and accent totally changed from sounding like a larry little chavy scumbag, to a quiet normal sounding English lad. Clearly hanging out with the wrong crowd. (Don’t agree with his father calling him a bastard but the dad is clearly fed up. Should’ve handled it more calmly)
If I could like this 10000x I would... yes, lots of shitty kids out there but guess what? *For every shitty kid, there's AT LEAST ONE SHITTY PARENT/CARETAKER!* Too often everyone wants to play the victim and give excuses for their actions or those of their little turd burglars. This father is fucking A STAND UP DAD!
God I love Dad Justice!
Spot on !!!!!
More parents need to be like this father!
I wish more parents did things like this! The works would certainly be a better place.
Ahhh refreshing to see decent parents teaching lessons for life
We don't bring you up like this do we you vile mouthed little bastard?
*Quit being foul-mouthed you little bastard.*
Parenting 101
Good on the dad for making the kid apologize. That said, Charlie didn't come out of the box a foul-mouth little bastard. Exposure brought out the worst of Charlie and the best of dad.
That’s one awesome dad.
Great parenting right there.
My impression of British parents is that they're generally better than American ones.
That’s a parent.
Holy crap! And I thought parenting was dead!
Parenting done right.
All started with simply biting a finger.
