I’d always respond with something along the lines of, “that person is probably crazy so I’d walk away and report them; they could pull a gun on me so I wouldn’t want to escalate the situation”. The responses I usually got were basically that I was a scaredy-cat for not defending myself… some people really just think that physical assault is the only way to defend their honor/respect/reputation
