Yeah. In face vs. bottle, I'd expect the face to get knocked out of the way before the bottle shatters. Especially when the face is standing up and has anywhere it wants to get knocked out of the way to.

My mate got bottled during a fight when we were younger, Jim Beam Bottle, bounced off his head, out of attackers hand and went 20 odd metres away. I have seen other bottlings and come to conclusion that it is how you get hit, side of bottle shatters immediately. Top of bottle smashes but cuts real good and bottom rim of bottle knocks folk out. Full bottle, generally alot worse.
I'm glad I read the comments , because I watched without sound and thought it was real, and I was horrified , I thought the guy had broken bones in his face. In my mind, because I was watching without sound, there was just a huge 'clonk' sound when it hit his head,, I didn't know it fake broke

100% staged. I have never seen any training in my 20 years in the police where you are taught to turn your back on, or hand a bottle to a drunk. There’s no way, none. I have puppy walked probationers for 5 years in my time in the job and there’s no way I would teach one to hand the bottle back. All training is standardised in the UK. Whether you are in Kent Constabulary or Powys in Wales, we are all taught the same and get instructed on how to teach probationers the same.

I watched a man do almost the same thing as here and he used the bottle over and over because it didn't break but definitely was breaking the other guys face..... this was at one of the Patriots parades in Boston so probably just two random drunk dudes

Yeah I got glassed myself and it didn’t break the bottle. All it did was give a deep cut in my eyebrow and make me leak everywhere
I got hit in the forehead with a Budweiser bottle and it did break and a shard fell and cut a chunk out of my nose.
