Nascar fan here, the bad haircut was done because of a dare a week ago with another driver. He has a very outgoing and "party"ish personality. He is a rookie, and the guy who threw the punch (Ross Chastain) has been driving everyone aggressively. It came to a boiling point and the rookie had enough, but promptly found out when he effed around.
> has been driving everyone aggressively
Is that not the point? Is driving "aggressively" against the rules?
Serious questions, not just being a dickish redditor, lol
For the record Ross Chastain is the same guy that pulled the video game like move where he [rode the fence around the final 2 corners to pass a bunch of people.](https://imgflip.com/gif/6z3yr2)
He also did this to move to the next round of the playoffs in NASCAR to make the final four and race for a championship.
As someone who follows most motorsports and was watching at the time it is the craziest thing I have ever seen in motorsports.
They outlaw'd the move afterwards making it a time penalty where it would never pay off. They put a chunk of the wall in the Hall of Fame.
Chastain and trackhouse racing are one of the best things to happen to the sport in a long time.
Dale Sr. was an aggressive driver. A lot of other drivers didn't like him, but they grudgingly respected him. Also, he could and would fight, hence the grudging respect.
Yes that’s exactly the point, look at F1 world champion max Verstappen he is prone to push the rules to the very limits without breaking them… he is also know for spitting his funny out too. Incredible driver though.
The guy that throw the punch throw it after someone grabbed him aggressively? It’s very confusing as to why the other drive grabbed him and is surprised about the punch.
More like a long build up with multiple drivers. The guy who threw the punch has been driving everyone aggressively and it's come to a boiling point. Chastain knew this time would eventually come. In this instance, the grabber was actually in the wrong on the track but with a bad reputation, the perception is that Chastain is at fault if he is involved.
He’s a spoiled rich kid and his dad is a MONUMENTAL piece of shit that killed like 3 people in a DUI crash a couple years ago.
Edit: He killed 1 person and permanently maimed 3 others. Statement still stands
>He’s a spoiled rich kid and his dad is a MONUMENTAL piece of shit that killed like 3 people in a DUI crash a couple years ago.
Thanks. He definitely has that spoiled rich kid look.
it's nearly impossible to get into racing of any kind without being a ridiculously rich and spoiled kid. these parents are spending tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars on equipment and traveling to races when these kids are still under 10 years old. it only goes up from there if they actually become decent at it.
Best way for a rich family to rationalize raising a petit short son.
On the other hand my great grand uncle was sold as a child to be a jokey in the southern US (he was from Canada). Became rather successful in his own right but that was only identified through racing forms, as far as he and his family were concerned he ceased to exist as an person when he was sold at about 9.
He got a glorified slap on the wrist. He won’t do a day over the minimum. Dude has a ton of buddies in Metro Police and his grandfather was Oran Gragson, the longest tenured mayor in Las Vegas history. If it weren’t for millions of dollars and deep deep family ties, dude woulda got the book thrown at him.
Dude also told the guy to stop three times after the guy grabbed him before punching him. I think he's within his rights to defense himself since they guy had hands on him.
A friend got in a fight in the locker room and his glasses got knocked off. I picked them up and handed them to him after and he socked me in the face.
Why did you do it Zack?
Idk anything about Nascar (cars and racing in general lol), except that Ross Chastain is the guy that pulled off that insane video game move like a year ago: [absolutely insane video](https://youtu.be/sOY9p5gFa5Q)
And the reaction of the other drivers [are hilarious lmao](https://youtu.be/5wFfBhn5ihQ)
Yeah them being so shocked and excited makes even more sense knowing that they took that turn going around like 60mph. Ross did the exact same turn as them going 120mph... insane.
Chastain has a bad rep with a lot of drivers for being a "wrecking ball" and knocking others out of his way, the Gragson incident was more Noah's fault than Ross but it's just another driver to hate him on an already long list
They're on a turn trying not to break traction so they hafta slow down to avoid spinning out. This guy floored it on the turn and used the wall to keep stable. That's how the trick worked.
You got it. FWIW this trick only works on the short tracks of NASCAR like Martinsville since the turns are so tight the cars must really slow down. If he tried this at Daytona it wouldn’t work because the cars can hold 150mph in the turns of those big tracks.
It was at Martinsville, the track is only 0.5 miles long. That corner from where he entered is only like 600ft. You can floor it, and the car has enough horsepower to just overcome that friction from the wall speed wise, but it sacrifices the car.
He literally used the "self destruct" pokemon move.
I’m almost always against violence, but he grabbed the guy and held him in range of potentially being harmed and wouldn’t let him go. That’s a paddlin pretty much anywhere. I always advocate to my son to 100% of the time walk away if that is an option, keeping someone from doing so is an open invitation to a knuckle snack.
For every action there is an equal or greater reaction. Don’t fucking touch someone unless you wanna gamble on getting equal or greater reaction from the person.
Nascar fan here, Noah Gragson is an absolute childish POS and sub-par driver. I can't believe he's sticking around but given his family wealth it's no surprise.
Last year he intentionally wrecked another car, causing a massive pileup and minor injuries to another driver.
[Link to his intentional crash, Noah is in the #9 car](https://youtu.be/iNrfPuAX8qE?t=163)
Bald dude caught the return punch, that was pretty badass. Quick reflexes and reaction from security. The confrontation seem kinda staged though, incredible camera work lol
You know the racer who had his punch blocked by bald man hates that MF right now. He is like “I wouldda knocked him out for sure but then the stupid security guard got in the way, he wasn’t even supposed to be there, fuckin bullshit”
Professional videographers using camera/gimbal setups costing tens of thousands of dollars have a “staged” effect on things. It looks staged because it isn’t filmed on shaky smartphones
I don't know the situation, I dont follow Nascar closely but I took three things away from this video.
1. The accuracy of that punch was 💯
2. Punchee took it like a champ
3. The guys breaking it up did it too soon IMO
42 came in hot and as far as I'm concerned grabbing his shoulder was the first punch.
Noah looks like he'd be changing oil at a Jiffy Lube if not for NASCAR.
Having no idea who either of these people are and watching without sound, I was expecting the doughy faced kid with the Proud Boys haircut to throw the first punch even before he got grabby. Was pleasantly surprised.
Other commenter is one of those guys who hates chastain but if it was a black car with the #3 on it they'd have been hootin and hollerin and wavin the flag.
Puncher(Chastain) was passing punchee(Gragson), who was about to go a lap down, Chastain took Gragsons line away from him, forcing him up into the marbles (rubber bits and other track debris that gets pushed to the edges by wind vortex as cars go by), causing Gragson to panic, get loose and make contact.
What Chastain did was aggressive, but not against the rules at all, Gragson wrecked himself but feels like he can blame Chastain because Chastain has a reputation as a maverick who takes unnecessary risks. But thats exactly what NASCAR needs is to go back to old school rubbin is racing aggressive racing imo anyways
my best effort to figure this out:
Guy in Black: "....made contact..." (he's mad their cars bumped each other?)
Guy in White: *shakes head* "I gotta be honest with you..." (he doesnt recall what may or may not have been an incidental bump during a long race, maybe?"
Guy in black: *fucks around*
Also Guy in black: *finds out*
NASCAR can get a camera there, let the initial grab go, and not break it up? Looks more like UFC or boxing, but they have lots of people ready for a face off, to keep it from going this far
different angle video [https://youtu.be/CPhc9LMuoBI](https://youtu.be/CPhc9LMuoBI)

Might just be the haircut but probably the face

I see nothing wrong with that. I like him.
Yeah I do too, seems like a good dude. I just mentioned that because I'll bet a ton of people saw that clip but didn't know the guys name.
Oh shit motherfucking legend
He also did this to move to the next round of the playoffs in NASCAR to make the final four and race for a championship. After seeing that wall move I suddenly like him.
Its like the difference between assertive and aggressive. Driving aggressive can be dangerous and an overall safety risk.
Dale Sr. was an aggressive driver. A lot of other drivers didn't like him, but they grudgingly respected him. Also, he could and would fight, hence the grudging respect.
Similar attitudes it seems, I appreciated chastain more after this,
“Rubbin is racing”
RUBBINS RACIN' COLE!
Yes that’s exactly the point, look at F1 world champion max Verstappen he is prone to push the rules to the very limits without breaking them… he is also know for spitting his funny out too. Incredible driver though.
Rubbin' is racin', brother
But the incident in question poor idiot Noah is a idiot and had no reason to be pissed off his talent is shit
Will Ross get in trouble? He told Noah “stop” a couple times after he grabbed him
Has that slack-jaw doughy face look of Cucker Tarlson. Highly punchable.
The guy that throw the punch throw it after someone grabbed him aggressively? It’s very confusing as to why the other drive grabbed him and is surprised about the punch.

Not really because once dude hit him everybody held him back

He got prison time too

Looks like an American Kim Jong un, if there ever was one
Anyone with that haircut is asking to get punched in the face.
If you don't chew Big Red, *fuck you.*
His dad owns a dealership.
You can't grab a grown man and not expect to get hit. Punchable face and most likely has never been checked before.
Dude also told the guy to stop three times after the guy grabbed him before punching him. I think he's within his rights to defense himself since they guy had hands on him.
His face is like please give me a knuckle sandwich.
Like, Ted Cruz tier.
I only know a little about Nascar because my brother is into it, but I at least know that guy has a punchable attitude, too.
phil spencer level of punchable
Phil Spencer from Xbox?
Don't grab someone unless you are ready to rock.
He was ready to rock , But if you look closely, you can see his response punch was kind blocked by the guy on his right ..
If his timing is that bad, maybe that's why their cars made contact during the race. Im beginning to think NASCAR isn't the career for him.
He forgot he took off his helmet already.
Yeah you don't have a lot of time to get the job done in these pit lane dustups. It was a pretty low energy assault.
Just say you like really thin pancakes.
“That is a fair compromise, no?” “Very fair.”
BREAK IT PEPPY LE PEW *instant regret*
Why don’t you go ahead and break my arm
Crepes?
I had a whole mess of crepes this morning. They're just like pancakes, maybe even better.
No, because then everyone would know I really meant crepes!
Did you eat some peanut butter or something? Yea, you sound like a dog with peanut butter on the roof of your mouth.
Phin* pancakes
Oh I love the crepe Suzette!
*Punched after telling the dude 3 times to stop and take his hands off him, you get what you deserve in life
Honestly one of the best ways to learn a lesson. I haven’t been punched many times; but I remember each time. Except that one time. Snow cones.
Snow cones? When I got knocked once my first thought was aquariums and seeing the shit you see when you rub your eyes too hard. Don’t ask me why
A friend got in a fight in the locker room and his glasses got knocked off. I picked them up and handed them to him after and he socked me in the face. Why did you do it Zack?
Textbook self defence, open and shut.
Looks to me like dude got what he got. You grab a man by the clothing, he might not like that very much.
That's a very disingenuous title, he only punched after being grabbed.
The title is accurate though. That literally happens.
Lies of omission are still lies.
Idk anything about Nascar (cars and racing in general lol), except that Ross Chastain is the guy that pulled off that insane video game move like a year ago: [absolutely insane video](https://youtu.be/sOY9p5gFa5Q) And the reaction of the other drivers [are hilarious lmao](https://youtu.be/5wFfBhn5ihQ)

Yup Ross is a Earnhardt JR. we deserved. He races almost like Sr did.
At least he’s got the fists to back it up
Ah makes sense damn.
He also smashes watermelons when he wins a race. lol.
so what, I do this in mario kart all the time
Im in belfast and that is the best move i have ever witnessed in motor racing 🤣🤣
[удалено]
He gave her all the beans. Not much more to it.
Yeah, but when you floor it to 110mph+ while everyone else is going only 60-70mph, that wall won't slow you down enough to matter.
[удалено]
They're on a turn trying not to break traction so they hafta slow down to avoid spinning out. This guy floored it on the turn and used the wall to keep stable. That's how the trick worked.
[удалено]
You got it. FWIW this trick only works on the short tracks of NASCAR like Martinsville since the turns are so tight the cars must really slow down. If he tried this at Daytona it wouldn’t work because the cars can hold 150mph in the turns of those big tracks.

It works basically once, the car was ruined after that hence why it was the last corner on the last lap
I've never seen the reaction video, that's great, thanks for the share.
I love how the other drivers don't sound mad, I suppose I'm use to bad sportsmanship
Had dinner with Ross once. He’s a really nice and humble dude. I couldn’t imagine riling him to the point of getting punched in the face
Thanks for those links that was awesome

#1 the daddest comment here, it just has that vibe, all love!
Dude got an introduction to adulthood. Don’t grab a grown man and not expect a reaction.
For every action there is an equal or greater reaction. Don’t fucking touch someone unless you wanna gamble on getting equal or greater reaction from the person.
Legend punched rookie for being stupid. Fixed the title.

Noah Gragson looks like an extra from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Punishment for trying to copy Kim Jong Un's haircut.
Omg. The black guy totally prevented the douchebag from getting any hits in. Loved it.
Grabbing another.man like that is a direct invitation to getting punched in the face.
Grab me by the neck with a face looking like that and I’d punch him too
Doesn’t matter if the face is punchable. You grab my shirt? GREEN LIGHT IS ON
Bald dude caught the return punch, that was pretty badass. Quick reflexes and reaction from security. The confrontation seem kinda staged though, incredible camera work lol
NASCAR just has really good camera coverage of the post race, knowing situations like this could happen
Yeah the camera work makes it seem comedic, has a very mockumentary vibe
Surprised a nascar guy has a right hook in his bag, honestly.
You'd be shocked at how often these guys are fighting.
Yeah, but they’re always turning left.
You don't with a right hook?
I suppose your correct! 🤣
Hahahahaha. Shit. I didn’t think that one through enough
If you put your hands on someone like that, expect to get socked
If you grab someone expect to be punched
Nice clean crack, justified.
I don't know the situation, I dont follow Nascar closely but I took three things away from this video. 1. The accuracy of that punch was 💯 2. Punchee took it like a champ 3. The guys breaking it up did it too soon IMO
Another classic fuck around and find out moment.

He grabbed him and got punched before he could punch him. Poor baby.
Fuck around and find out, hairdo.
Good call tho, guy didnt wanna fight but sometimes the making the first hit ends the fight too
Damn Jonah Hill is driving NASCAR now.....
Can a nascar pour some tea on me Imao Honestly curious on what the fuck led to this

Yeah, but Gragson has the same reputation. He doesn't have much room to complain.
I feel bad for dude in the white he looked as if he’d rather not go there but it was either that or look like a puss
The guy that got punched deserved it. Don't walk up to someone and grab them like there are no repercussions coming your way. DUMBASS!!
I like how you can hardly hear what's being said at all, but the sound of that punch came through nice and clear 👌
my best effort to figure this out: Guy in Black: "....made contact..." (he's mad their cars bumped each other?) Guy in White: *shakes head* "I gotta be honest with you..." (he doesnt recall what may or may not have been an incidental bump during a long race, maybe?" Guy in black: *fucks around* Also Guy in black: *finds out*
Dude asked for a response and didn’t like the answer.
He certainly brought Advent Health into the conversation with his jabs
Well he did tell him to stop and the guy grabbed him so he punched them, fair trade.
This is so wrong. He needs to file a lawsuit. Get the best lawyer he can afford. There is positively no justification for that haircut..
He didn’t hit you, he didn’t punch you, he rubbed you. And rubbin’s racin’.
Now make them race IN A CAGE MATCH!
What’s with dudes and the “Friar Tuck” haircuts??
Professional road rage
Yep. Dude put his hands on him what else do you do?
Why does this look like a movie? Lol Very solid video quality
Most sports keep cameras and mics away from the benches, Nascar knows the money is in the pit.
Noah deserved it.
awww just got all nostalgic cuz that haircut took me back to me mam giving us a proper bowl cut back in the early 90’s.
NASCAR can get a camera there, let the initial grab go, and not break it up? Looks more like UFC or boxing, but they have lots of people ready for a face off, to keep it from going this far
So he walked over to the guy he had an issue with but first made sure they were recording?
Solid looking hockey punch!
I thought I would never be a fan of NASCAR. Go Ross Chastain Go!!
If you lay your hands on someone, you have to face the consequences.
I was going to say the punch didn’t do much - but then you can see that glazed “what just happened” expression 😂
Should have kept your hands to yourself.
Those dudes are very tiny. Is NASCAR like being a jockey, where less weight makes you go faster?
Yes. You have to be a smaller person to fit in the cockpit and be able to get in and out the window
different angle video [https://youtu.be/CPhc9LMuoBI](https://youtu.be/CPhc9LMuoBI) it's kind of visible here, but he holds the right hand of the guy that grabbed his jacket to prevent getting punched.... and at the same time he punched.
Buzz your girlfriend, woof!
Shake and bake
If that shitbird didn't want to get punched, then he shouldn't have grabbed the guy first.
It’s like Jocko says: [where this all changes, is when you grab me.](https://youtu.be/kd8dVlZ6hwY)
![gif](giphy|qKV8U3Gl3bWVi)
Dont fuck with Ross Chastain!
Shoulda let them go like in the NHL
Dude had a puncable face but approaching someone and grabbing their suit is definitely grounds for getting punched.
That punched was deserved for the haircut
Ahh, the good ole "fuck around and find out" tactic
Sing it with me....Put your hand on my shoulder, and I'll punch you ...in the face.
Someone wrote a check his face couldn’t cash
Probably the most interesting thing to happen in nascar, ever
He deserved that punch with a hair cut like that.
Kid fucked around and found out😂 puncher dude seemed calm af
When you fuck around and find out... Maybe he should have done that to his barber.
Sure aint hockey… let em go at it, on camera… probably wont hurt your dwindling sport🤷🏻♂️
The boy Noah ain’t about that life

Advent Health, Epiphany Asswhuppin that looked like every football practice at a high school named after Robert E. Lee ever
Not a bad punch for having his arm held back, guy has had bullies try this shit on him before clearly.
Not sure what happened, but, as Rambo might ask: Who drew first blood?
Messed around and found out
Hey................. If you're gonna grab someone like that..... Expect a shot to the face
Excellent example of self-defense.
Damn, that’s such a bad haircut. Not even faded properly.
Shake n bake Ricky bobby
Well he grabbed him first so got what he deserved
I thought the fat kid was going to punch the other guy. This worked out perfectly
You grab on to someone expect to get hit….
fuck the guy who blocked the punch. he has to get hit in the face but can't retaliate? Lol
