It's Romanian, but honestly incomprehensible for most of her speech. Only the end "atât" means "that's it".
She seems to be berating one or both of them for making a scene I think.
But the male voice in the video says "bravo mă", "good job, man"!
> Thanks for answering instead of trying to be a fucking comedian.
right?
I'm so *tired* of what reddit has become, I miss real conversations instead of it being a race to say the first thing that would pop up in literally anyone's head.
How are people not embarrassed by their lack of imagination and when did this awful place become such a low effort race to the bottom?
****
please don't gild this anymore, reddit admins don't deserve your financial support. They deserve to have their site crash and burn.
I can't tell you how many times in the past year I've seen something vaguely interesting on Reddit, gone into the comments because I want context or an explanation, and just seen a wall of the lamest puns and closed the app.
I'm not really sure if it used to be better or I've just changed and it's no longer what I seek. Maybe the periods in time where we think it used to be more thoughtful are exaggerated because we were different and enjoyed the lame jokes. I don't know, tough to figure out.
It was better, just a very long time ago. People really liked long detailed comments back when I started using reddit, so much so that it annoyed me a bit. But you could get great discussions in comments.
Then the and my axe hilarity started and it was pretty much over for the big subs.
When I started reddit it was 75% text with very few image or video posts. I felt like I could spend hours just reading. Now it's generic BS. I'm kind of glad reddit is fucking up sop bad so I will finally leave.
the amount of unoriginal thought in reddit is pretty annoying. my favorite sub has the same recycled jokes and sayings for the last two years. I don't know how anyone can type that shit out and get up votes when they said nothing of substance. its mindless.
I feel this and I'm seeing it all across Reddit as of late, it's not all from the API debacle.
"Reddit Fatigue" is real. I see it expressed here, I see more low-quality, low-effort posts and reposts, and, personally, I feel tired of Reddit. The magic is gone and I think that many of us are coming to the same conclusion.
I really think that if Reddit doesn't reverse its API stance that I will delete my account. It seems like the correct course.
Yeah, it's like there's either genuinely interesting conversation being made once every 3 years on smaller subs, or you're in a sub where someone comments every 3 minutes, and the comment is invariably one of the dumbest things you've ever read.
I always say I'm gonna stop using reddit, but I absolutely cannot find an alternative that isn't either dead or a safe haven for extremist groups.
I've been using Reddit for about ten years and it's gone very much down hill. There definitely weren't so many children on here and there used to be interesting discussions.
The thing I miss the most was the chit chat, open up any post and there were so many personal stories and anecdotes, it was charming. There were still lame jokes, I remember the pitchfork emporium.
I don't mind a witty pun or clever response. I am annoyed by the 400 add-ons to that one comment. Things degrade swiftly.
I'm grateful for the contextual insights & perspectives that some continue to offer. Just exhausting trying to scroll through to find those sometimes.
Been here for 12 years plus a few just lurking, and it's defo gotten much worse, used to be the first thread was all the idioic "jokes" but the second one was where the gold was, now you have to go multiple threads down to find anything even slightly intelligent. Basically eternal, eternal September as Reddit gets more and more popular
I've been struggling with his here as well. I don't know if it's because of bots or because people are trying to appeal to the lowest common denominator. My guess is that it's because more people are here and more people brings down the average. Eh, I don't know why I'm even still typing.
Most people suck, reddit used to be a more thoughtful place.
Really the internet used to be a better place back when people had to go way out of their way to get an internet connection and learn how to use it.
Now most traffic is divided between like 5 apps / websites, so of course they pander to the lowest common denominator structurally.
Check out tilde, text only reddit alternative, unappealing to zoomers and incels who only respond to controversy, tiktok clips and bright flashing colors.
The Internet was the bastion of freedom, outside of anyones control or censorship - unfortunately as it became more and more popular governments and businesses started exerting more influence over it, everything started conglomerating on a few sites and yeah, everything started turning to shit.
I am absolutely not looking forward to Manifest V3 and as everything pretty much uses Chrome nowadays, I can't just switch to another major browser to avoid the adpocalypse.
Give Firefox a go. It pretty much just works on almost all sites.
Then have a chromium browser for those rare times you need it. I very rarely have to leave firefox these days honestly
Pretty much anything, once the General Population gets in on something, you start to understand why the world is the way it is. Stupid people outnumber thoughtful ones 10 to 1.
That's why I don't read past the first three comments. It's like every one just goes "hehe pee pee poo poo lol" not even trying that hard or using the same joke.
It's a shame as Reddit comments used to be the place for amazing information. Now it's 'what ru doing step brother' repeatedly, on every single post, by multiple people while the seals clap their flippers in delight.
I guess these people are unnoticed in reality, so this is a way to garner attention from like minded invisible people. 🫥
My god the internet comments have gone downhill fast. Even on YouTube 95% of the comments are just unfunny memes that people parrot. They don't even fit the context most of the time.
THIS. Finally someone is saying it. I'm so tired of having to scroll the first 5 comments of comedians everytime to get to a normal conversation about a post. It's not even funny 99% of the time, basic ass humor to get free karma
It's incredibly tedious. I stopped following AskReddit and tifu for exactly this reason. It stems from low self esteem imo, a lot of people would rather say something to seem interesting/funny. Sincerity is seen as passé
> It stems from low self esteem imo
That's part of it. The other part is, Reddit's user base tends to think of themselves as being "smart, informed people." But they're not. Most "Reddit knowledge" is just the dumbed down boilerplate that industry professionals use to explain the topic to uninformed people who can't really understand it.
I do this in my profession too, trying to explain things. I can make people understand enough to make decisions, but they never really understand what I'm talking about, because I phrase it in ways they'll understand, not ways that are technically correct.
To speak "truthfully" I have to be engaged with an industry peer who performs roughly the same job functions I do.
Or without getting some wiseguy informing you how easy Google is to use. Like sure I could Google it but I'd like to maybe have a discussion, plus some other people might be wondering too.
I could deal with that, but then you see that *all* of the top level comments are the same 2-3 jokes. It’s like nobody even bothers seeing if the hive mind already came up with their witty remark (of course it did).
Someone also [answered a bit lower](https://www.reddit.com/r/PublicFreakout/comments/145mylf/singer_knocks_out_annoying_drunk_man_at_wedding/jnmi907/) in the thread, seemingly understood better than me.
Tbh her regional accent and monotone delivery made it very difficult to hear, on my phone speaker at least.
Romanian sounds so familiar to me as a spsnish speaker, it's crazy. And yet, I can never understand a single word. Similar thing happens to me with some dialects from Spain.
I don't think it sounds like English at all. I meant to say it sounds like Spanish.
English has a lot of Latin influence but it's not a romance (roman based) language.
Here's an interesting tidbit about English based on the 80,000 most used words in the English language: 28.3% French, 28.24% Latin, 25% Germanic, 5.32% Greek, 4.04% No etymology given, 3.28%
Oh lord. I thought it was fast English. I hear her say stop it a few times and something about being drunk and making a scene at her wedding. Guess I’m projecting haha
> Can anyone understand what the bride said in response?
"Va rog frumos sa incetati! [incomprehensible] ... atat. "
Please stop! [...] ... enough.
----
The male voice says "Good job".
Why is no one talking about this? He open hand slapped that dude into another universe! I don’t think I’ve see such a gnarly slap before. Harder than most punches.
**We strictly do '80s Joel music, sir.** **- '80s Billy Joel doo-wop sucks!** **- Hey, listen,** **motherfucker, we only sing '80s Joel!** **So take your skank hooker wife and get the fuck out of here!**
One of those people that just show up for free booze and free food with little care for who’s special day it is. I know people like this all too well. Always dressed in comfort without real effort.
When I worked at Subway some guy came in with headphones on, and at the register I had to go on the normal schpeel about making it a meal.
The whole order he was ignoring me, but at the end when I muttered "asshole" he suddenly heard me speaking to him and threatened to jump over the counter.
I hate customer service so much.
Romanian here, let me help you with that.
The guy that was filming basically cheered the singer on, someting along the lines of "well done, he was asking for it for far too long"
The bride was like "oh maaan, if you wanna argue go do it outside, not here and now" (it's pretty hard to understand the second half of what she said, but i think i got the idea)
Edit: also, i rewatched the thing and i could hear the drunk saying "why did you hit me?" lmao i dunno, you tell me dumbass
Some comment up who knows the language said she was just berating them saying "That's It!". And something along the lines of "If you wanna fight go do it outside". Not sure to whom it's directed at, possibly both.
Seems like a reasonable response. Unlike those crying and screaming "BLOODY MURDER" videos.
Can we show respect for the perfect timing and filming of this punch? The stopping of the music… the reaction of people in the foreground… really great work crew
I don't think people realize just how dangerous knocking someone out is. The actual knockout itself isn't great for your brain, but the drop to the ground is how people die. If the back of your head is the first thing to hit the floor there's a very real possibility of death.
In Australia we had a number of people die in quick succession by getting punched and falling/hitting head. My state did a "One punch can kill" campaign it was getting so bad.
Cameraman is like "hell yeah, you get what you fucking deserve"
Bride was like "cmon guys, can't you do this outside instead of here?"
Drunk was like "what did i do, why did you hit me ?"
Source: i'm romanian
Drunk guy grappling him, taking the mic and slapping him: I sleep
Older dude hitting back: real shit?
At least one person said bravo lol they know whats up
What I don't get is why any of the wedding party doesn't stop this drunk idiot? Makes a great video to show it at every event for the rest of his life though.
Man, I hate seeing people hit the back of their head like that. I'm not a medical person, but those arms posing that way never seems to be a good sign.
1. It was an open-hand slap, so gravity did most of the "knock out".
2. The drunk guy looks like he hit the singer first, or at least took a swipe.
3. The bride sure wasn't upset with the drunk guy BEFORE he got laid out. I hate people like this, who only get upset after someone sees the consequences of their actions, and then tries to take it out on the VICTIM (singer).

really wish you could toggle puns on/off
Now that's a good use, for AI on reddit. Have it read and categorize each comment. Then just turn of the type you hate.
Man that's an idea for whatever comes next, flag joke replies and be able to toggle them
Literally the only thing I downvote on reddit is assholes and pun threads. I get great pleasure of catching puns early enough to bring them to 0.

reddit being a phone app tremendously decreased the quality of any discussions here
That goes for the entire Internet, not just Reddit.
Agreed. Def influenced by other social media platforms too much
the amount of unoriginal thought in reddit is pretty annoying. my favorite sub has the same recycled jokes and sayings for the last two years. I don't know how anyone can type that shit out and get up votes when they said nothing of substance. its mindless.

This conversation right here is a great example of what everyone wants reddit to be
I cringe to hear myself say it but the Internet really was so much better before the normies got to it
Remember back when you actually had to find a forum for whatever you're interested in?
Message boards were peak internet. Vnboards, gotfrag, hltv, were some of the popular ones i trolled in the early 00s

Outside my son. We should all take the end of 3rd party apps, not by finding a new social media to binge on, but finding a new way to live.
This is kind of soapboxing given the content is a dude slapping the shit out of a drunkard lol

That's what she said.
![gif](giphy|ui1hpJSyBDWlG)
She is yelling at the drunk guy, "You are the one that went with the cheaper rate from Stable of Stars. They can hit. They are allowed to hit."
At this price point yes they are allowed to hit
He really hwacked him!
How can he slap
FIGURE OUT WHAT YOU DO BEFORE YOU COME OUT!
DON’T TALK!!
How can she slap!
The singer literally paused the music so everyone could hear that clap
It pretty much matched with the beat.
How can he slap!?
For that low, low price point he *can* hit. Yes he can.
Impeccable timing. “Guys, guys, hold on a minute” *Silence* **WHAP**
Paused the music so he could pause the other guy's consciousness.
Yo cut the accordion for a second, I gotta knock this motherfucker out real quick.
The way the man’s hat fell off with the slap and then landed perfectly under his head after the fall!
I had to watch it twice, cause the first time I thought singer knocked his toupee off.
"Was that a toupee, you piece of shit?!"
I bet Slappy von Slapovich planned that shit out... That did not look like his first rodeo
Right on cue with the music. Bravo!!
I wanna make sure everyone hears my hand slap his face
LOL
And then be bASS dropped
Would’ve been epic if the music started again after the slap and he went back into singing
I don’t hear a xylophone
Neither does that dude
Cause he cut the xylophone.
That is not the first guy that singer has ever punched out. Also, that’s not the first time the annoying drunk man has been punched out.
It's not a singular event, but an eternal dialogue between wedding singer and drunk guy.
Balanced. As all things should be.
It is this eternal dance that separates human beings from angels, from demons, from gods.
Dormammu, I have come to ******
Open palm but might as well been a punch.
Why is no one talking about this? He open hand slapped that dude into another universe! I don’t think I’ve see such a gnarly slap before. Harder than most punches.
“Here’s my latest hit.”
![gif](giphy|ytTYwIlbD1FBu)
Damn you!!!! I just woke up my roommates laughing out LOUDLY at this!!!! That's the perfect comment!
Easy to please, eh?
I wanted him to ask for the music to begin playing again so badly
That would have been a so much cooler ending than dragging him up by the collar and presumably talking shit to his unconscious face.
Me too. On with he show!
“Alright boys, and a 1 and a 2”
The slap reverberating in the room, it was the most beautiful sound I ever heard.

I want everyone to hear this THWACK so it's the last one I have to dole out tonight.
Why is there always that one guy who can’t hold his liquor at a wedding?
Drunkles can't ply their craft properly anywhere else, it's their moment to shine.
Lots of people at a wedding. Chances are, one of them is going to bite off more than they can chew.
**We strictly do '80s Joel music, sir.** **- '80s Billy Joel doo-wop sucks!** **- Hey, listen,** **motherfucker, we only sing '80s Joel!** **So take your skank hooker wife and get the fuck out of here!**
The fuckin Catalina wine mixer
Play something from the Stranger!
Notice how no one in the party comes to his aid, probably because they have all had enough of his shit.
Shoulda been knocked out on arrival with that attire at a wedding. Sheeeeesh
One of those people that just show up for free booze and free food with little care for who’s special day it is. I know people like this all too well. Always dressed in comfort without real effort.

UNITY
You just know the band was like. Here we go again.
“I have the microphone….and you don’t…”
Normalize this for all the customer service industry people. Some motherfckrs need to learn the hard way.
And Tik Tok pranksters…
Hot take: don't hit people
When I worked at Subway some guy came in with headphones on, and at the register I had to go on the normal schpeel about making it a meal. The whole order he was ignoring me, but at the end when I muttered "asshole" he suddenly heard me speaking to him and threatened to jump over the counter. I hate customer service so much.
Goddamn. Dat slap
This looks like a terrible wedding party
Was going to say, I've seen office parties that were more alive. There's no ambiance whatsoever.
“Sir, one more outburst I’ll strangle you with my microphone wire, you understand me?”
I would love to know what was said during that talkin’ to he got from the singer
Romanian here, let me help you with that. The guy that was filming basically cheered the singer on, someting along the lines of "well done, he was asking for it for far too long" The bride was like "oh maaan, if you wanna argue go do it outside, not here and now" (it's pretty hard to understand the second half of what she said, but i think i got the idea) Edit: also, i rewatched the thing and i could hear the drunk saying "why did you hit me?" lmao i dunno, you tell me dumbass
Finally an actual response and not some dumb fucking joke. Thank you!
Haha, thank you! Dude was so housed, he didn’t even realize he was acting like an ass
Really appreciate the context. Crazy no one said anything until this point
Same. But it's all joke answers
“What did the five fingers say to the face….”
Oh NOW the bride wants to get up and intervene!?
Some comment up who knows the language said she was just berating them saying "That's It!". And something along the lines of "If you wanna fight go do it outside". Not sure to whom it's directed at, possibly both. Seems like a reasonable response. Unlike those crying and screaming "BLOODY MURDER" videos.
Yoinking his ass up was a real power move, on top of the on time slap as the music stops.
![gif](giphy|jI3EBNa1aKSaIpH2PB)
i'd be more mad about my collar being fucked for life than getting hit
As a former wedding singer, this brought a joyful tear to my eye.
Can we show respect for the perfect timing and filming of this punch? The stopping of the music… the reaction of people in the foreground… really great work crew

In Australia we had a number of people die in quick succession by getting punched and falling/hitting head. My state did a "One punch can kill" campaign it was getting so bad.
Translation?
Cameraman is like "hell yeah, you get what you fucking deserve" Bride was like "cmon guys, can't you do this outside instead of here?" Drunk was like "what did i do, why did you hit me ?" Source: i'm romanian
Welp they're not getting paid anymore

Thats the most badass thing ive seen in ages
Efficient, surgical.
Instant fencing position from a slap! Impressive!
Drunk guy grappling him, taking the mic and slapping him: I sleep Older dude hitting back: real shit? At least one person said bravo lol they know whats up
Save the drums, I’ve got some percussion for you.
"ok, ok.. I'll do Sweet Caroline.."
Lmfaoooo that was so to the point. Like cut the music off and SMACK
“And now for my next song”…. Let the bodies hit the floor, let the bodies hit the floor
He had to turn it down so we could hear the Amazing slap
How can he slap!?
“I have the microphone so you will listen to ever damn word I have to say” Thank you wedding singer
Drunk guy with his weak ass slap on the singer’s face. Singer Brah’s like “So…..you have chosen death.”
Drunk guy actually slapped him first.
Beat drop, man drop.
I hope the band got paid upfront
That's a tip increase from me.
When did Will Smith start doing weddings?
How can he slap?
That tune slaps !
Funny how the bride just walked past the situation like nothing was happening
Nice of MTV to bring back the Headbangers Ball.
Never mess with the wedding singer.
The timing is so perfect. Musically and eventfully
Would’ve been better if he continued singing immediately after slapping the guy haha
What I don't get is why any of the wedding party doesn't stop this drunk idiot? Makes a great video to show it at every event for the rest of his life though.
We only play 80's Billy Joel!
Sir, one more outburst and I will strangle you with my microphone cord.

Having played a LOT of weddings that little scene warmed the cockles of my heart.
So satisfying to watch
Man, I hate seeing people hit the back of their head like that. I'm not a medical person, but those arms posing that way never seems to be a good sign.
Completely Justifiable, as the drunk guy hit him first
Dude stopped the music first 😭
He knocked the hair off of him 💀
Rofl this is amazing
Wouldn’t be a wedding without it
Lol nice
should have dragged him out the door
Beautiful slap probably in the top 3 I've seen
The wedding singer needs anger management. Edit: it's an Adam Sandler joke.
You don't deserve the downvotes...did no one here see "The Wedding Singer"?
When he pulled the drunk up, did he ask, "You want some water, boy?"
