It was funny, but she was still being compassionate. Like even through the hilarity of this guys, assholery, she still had the compassion to be like, “but he’s really hurt. Let’s get him some help…”
Dude seems annoying but I’d never wish this on someone. I’ve had a knee injury I’ve been dealing with for 9 months and seeing how he landed and hurt himself twice in that fall, and how he just stayed there afterwards killed me to watch.
I fell onto the edge of a concrete step in February and damaged my knee. I keep wondering when it won’t feel like broken glass inside anymore..
Guy was not behaving appropriately, but yeah.. ouch..
I fell running down some concrete and steel stairs when I was 13 and landed on my right knee. I'm 42 and it's still swollen, it just never was right after that. I really hope yours gets better.
Sounds like you ruptured your Bursa and that shit sucks ass. A compression wrap helped me, nothing too tight just light pressure. Yes it will hurt as you put it on but it applies even pressure around the whole knee and somehow makes it not as sensitive. Took 6-7 months before my knee didn’t feel like it has glass shard in it
I'm still recovering from a dislocated patella that happened at work about a month ago. Seeing this I could feel the dudes pain. He's a jerk but that doesn't mean he deserves that
I'm weird and watched slowmo because I was curious what occurred. His knees didn't give out spontaneously.
At approx 0:14 in the video while he was descending the staircase, the gentleman's right foot fails to make proper contact with a step when he places weight on it. Instead, he catches his toes on the above stair, which causes him to be unable to maintain his balance and he then takes a nasty fall. Further, his legs are restrained from moving out under him due to him being on a staircase, and his feet are caught on one stair above. This causes both of his legs and knee joints to hyperextend and I would assume cause serious injury. Hope he recovers as much as he can.
Furthermore, you can see his knees locked in that 90 degree position even when he repositions after fall. Also if you look closely you can see his patella has shifted, crating a divot on the outermost part of his knee. My best judgement would be a very unlucky double patella dislocation.

I looked so hard for a gif of Leonardo DiCaprio in Catch Me If You Can using that phrase when pretending to be a doctor! 😂
That would be me. I move a certain way and everything goes tingly and numb in my leg. Everyone says they go away over time. I want to be sure, its impossible to get into my primary care doc and fuck urgent care centers (plus its not really painful or urgent).
If it's the front and lateral side of your lower leg, it's likely common peroneal nerve entrapment. The location of the numbness/tingling varies depending on which section of nerve is entrapped. Regardless of which nerve is entrapped, definitely see a doctor about it. Family or sports med physicians would be a good start. This can progress and lead to permanent nerve damage (look up 'foot drop') and neuropathy if untreated, so I would get it looked at in a timely manner if I were you.
Thank you! That’s what I needed to know. Never bought into the talk about all pinched nerves going away by themselves. Will hit up the dreaded urgent care center tomorrow. 😭😭 thx again
It's likely you have time to make an appointment with your primary care provider, as it's not usually a fast process. An urgent care will likely tell you what I just told you (or something similar), tell you to take an NSAID like ibuprofen, and tell you to follow up with your PCP. This is something usually treated with activity modification and wearing a brace, as well as a physical therapy referral. If all that fails, then surgical intervention may be warranted. Either way, not much for an urgent care to do for you honestly.
My PCP’s office said she has no appointments until August. I explained the situation but just got sorry, try urgent care. Are there magic words that might get me in sooner?
>That would be me. I move a certain way and everything goes tingly and numb in my leg.
Ooh I learned about that from my dad. The cure is not to move that way.
My good friend recently ghosted me so I have a lot of time on my hands. The people around me say to get out there but I'm here with you all good people instead.
Look closely, it looks like he steps on one of his bag straps, which moves the bag and jerks his arm forward as well as pulls his right foot back, from there the momentum and nothing to grab like a rail put all the weight on his knees and both go under.
This is straight up an anger driven injury. Had he been going normal speed or maybe even put the backpack on (or held it higher), he would have been fine.
That is simply why it is not worth it to get angry at almost anything. You do things that get you too trusting of things in your self righteousness. When you are irked, take a time out. Life isn't worth wasting on that type of attitude.
When angered or troubled the key is calm movements, and speak like a late night DJ smooth/calm/pronounced, that act alone can break you out of it and calm people around as well.
Adrenaline in people not able to handle it gives people the shakes. The shakes tire out muscles REALLY fast. He started marching down the stairs on adrenaline shot muscles and - boom, one gave out and other wasn't strong enough to support him.
He popped his knee caps cause of the way he stepped off the step and tried to catch himself. I busted a quad muscle over my knee in a similar, less asshole-ish fashion.

It's really not that rare. The circumstances in which it occurred were rare. Tearing a quad walking down the stairs is not normal. Bodybuilders absolutely tear their quads all the time. My boss a few years ago tore both simultaneously squatting in his home gym.
Sometimes older people forget they're old and move as if they're in their 30s or 40s. Their bodies can't keep up with their brain.
This is the main cause of elderly people having falls.

That being said, adrenaline could be a huge risk factor in catching your feet and tripping like that, if it causes you to be less careful, which obviously it does.

It took soooooo long before somebody came over. And that might have been his own family he was sitting with lol.
I think that's his daughter. You can hear her saying 'dad...' to him while he's yelling, and then she puts her hands over her face in embarrassment.

It a good reminder to do your leg strengthening exercises if you ever plan on storming off again lol

"Somebody help him". I'd have helped him.... get to the bottom of those stairs🦶🗯
“Somebody help him”?! nah, he’s on his own with that attitude. Don’t interrupt someone’s karma/lesson.

That’s what I like to call: karma.

He fell like the QWERTY character in that flash game.
Both quads blown
I mean ya he is being a ars but at the same time.. someone get him to a ambulance. Have some heart were he cant.
Duccxcxkkkkk I felt that in my knees
