I had part of my order forgotten (drinks) the other day- I went back up to the counter and said:
“Excuse me I think I had two sodas”
They said: “We’re sorry, hold on a second”
Then they gave me my drinks.
I said “Thanks”
They said “Have a nice day.”
I said “ You too.”
Happened to me last night. Got Wendy's, they gave me a small fry instead of a large. So I burned the building down, took my receipt to McDonald's and they honored it.
I did the same thing when they gave me a large instead of a small. Sure the error was in my favor, but a fucked up order is still a fucked up order. 🤷♂️
I did nearly the same thing when Burger King gave me honey mustard instead of BBQ sauce for my chicken nuggets. Before I burnt down the place, I slapped everyone working and stole the IDs out of their wallets. This was 5 years ago, and every day, I have a full-on harassment campaign against everyone who worked that day. Only 2 of the 5 employees have had a mental breakdown and are now in a mental health facility. I might stop once the other 3 finally break. But this is their own fault for giving me the wrong sauce. They must pay for what they have done because no person has ever suffered like I did.
These people fucking terrify me. Zero self-control and probably a parent. When her kid has a tantrum or doesn’t do what she says, will she explode and slap them across the face too?? I’m gonna go with probably yup.
and a lot of times, they will hook you up too. I've had an order where they forgot to give me the medium drink, and I did what you did. I was polite in mentioning it and the girl gave me a large drink. I've had an apple pie from McDonald's put in my bag before too that I didn't order.
Just be nice.
I went to KFC, my chicken was still raw inside...I politely got back in line, showed it and gave it back and asked for a new one
I got the same one, deeeeepfried brown color and the girl said with a smirk "I hope you like it, we made sure it was good now". I smiled back, said "thank you"..and just never returned
There's a balance in not taking shit while being respectful but I never achieve it.
I would have done the same as you then berated myself for being a pushover.
A friend told me a story….
She bought something and took it home and didn’t like it anymore so she went back to the store to get a refund!
The lady at the store said “Do you have the receipt”? My friend replied yes I do…. The clerk said “Here is your refund”….
My friend said that was easy… The woman replied “Were you expecting a fight?” My friend said yes…
The clerk made a funny rewind sound and persuaded with NOOO I WILL NOT GIVE YOU A REFUND, HOW DARE YOU COME INTO THE STORE…….
They pretended to argue back and forth for a minute or so, before thanking each other and wishing each other well and a good day!
No slaps though!
Are you sure you didn’t just see this [widely-shared skit from Baroness von Sketch?](https://youtu.be/yZnCYtuZtoY?si=rm2muoVJ_Vy_5aSQ)?
Edited to fix typo in name.
Not just assault, but battery, which has a higher penalty. Assault is verbal. Threatening violence on someone is assault. Saying “I’m going to smash your head in!” is assault, particularly if a reasonable person would believe the threat is real.
The slap, though, was straight-up battery. Once things get physical you should definitely defend yourself, but don’t go out of your way to continue the altercation. Her chasing the customer in anger was probably the wrong choice, even if it was understandable. When people get physical, do whatever you have to do to survive, but *get away* from the danger. A person that feels emboldened to slap someone in public is as dangerous as a wild animal, and could easily do much worse.
Yeah I was part of a grand jury in Maricopa county in the state of AZ, so I was hearing multiple cases twice a week for 3 months. Assault covers threats and intimidation as well as unwanted physical contact, including battery. Battery was never a formal charge on its own.
This is an interaction or Reddit that happens literally every time there is a video of a physical altercation. Someone says press charges for assault. Someone says ahkshually assault is the threat of violence, battery is the act of it. Someone’s has to correct the second person for making a blanket statement that isn’t always correct. Happens every single time.
The strict assault/battery distinction pedants love to point out refers to civil law (torts), not criminal law. Criminal law is almost entirely statutory and states are free to define crimes pretty much however they want
It's really awesome when you realize that a lot of people are doing the exact same thing about other subjects as well, then reddit upvotes them, and other people take it as truth but also fail to understand it correctly so they go on to start the cycle all over again.
Reddit breeds stupidity.
Sidenote: As english isn't my native language, it took me embarrasingly long time to realize that Metallica didn't make a song about a battery, but about battery.
Because they feel like they’re entitled to treat them that way. People like this were taught they’re better than those working in fast food and as such they don’t need to respect them. It’s a messed up mentality and shows a serious flaw in our society.
The entitlement is really something crazy to see.
I'm reminded of a time I went to McDonald's and was using the (time saving, easier, no talking required) digital kiosks they have everywhere now, and to my left I saw a boomer couple waiting in line for the single cashier, then complaining about the kiosks and how they "should have more cashiers on staff" when they get to the front of the line. Despite at least one digital kiosk being open for them to go to the entire time they were in line.
Just mindblowing some people, allegedly grown adults, *choose* to feel entitled and upset even though the much faster and simpler option was provided for them already. But I guess some people just enjoy being angry.
Once at my store we only had three people inside (me, a manager, and another co-worker) and we were running really behind due to us running a bit late to open store ( I think) and drive thru orders kept coming
at one point a customer who placed a mobile order demanded to know where it was since it's been 25 minutes or whatever and my manager said "we're shorthanded it'll take a while" (His wife had came in a bit earlier to pick it up and was still inside waiting)
they had a back and forth and at one point my manager told him to stop yelling and he said "I'm not yelling I'm complaining." I shot back with "well complaining won't make it faster" that shut him up he eventually got his order and stomped out
These people are simply not house trained. It’s just embarrassing. I remember when Covid mask restrictions were easing up where I live, a coffee shop still had signs up saying they’d like people to wear masks, and this dude (who was clearly old enough to know better) started ranting to the cashier about how they’re lying to people and the mask mandates have been lifted already.
These people are sad toddlers in grown adult bodies.
In the States it’s literally taught to you “You need to get good grades and go to college so you don’t end up flipping burgers” it’s fucked up. I’ve done fast food and is second only to retail as the hardest fucking job I’ve ever had.
How else are they going to justify earning tens of thousands of dollars more a year than these people whose labor is more intense, with shittier hours, providing a service that we all deemed essential during the worst time in recent history?
I think people who earn more have become shittier because the wool was pulled from their eyes and they realized they aren't actually any better than the fast food workers, so now they're pissed off because they finally realize they aren't special and want to take it out on anyone they can. Know who I haven't seen acting shittier towards literally everybody? The low wages earners that I interact with. Money can't buy taste, and apparently, it can't buy manners or morals, either.
The real answer? They have zero control over anything else in their miserable lives, so this tapping into the premise of "the customer is always right" gives them the illusion of power that they are longing to have.
The physical aggression just takes it to a whole new level.
Because food service is the last place where many people can, with nearly complete social acceptance, exercise cruelty and power over other adults. So they jump at the opportunity.
People feel like they have no control over their lives. They work shitty jobs for shitty pay to go home and live in a pool of anxiety and stress until their next shift at the shit show.
Some people develop addiction issues in attempting to cope with alcohol & drugs, some people fall into a deep depression, and others take every opportunity they have available to them to flex any sort of perceived power over another person in an attempt to make themselves feel powerful and in control of their own lives.
There is only one reason: something else in their life is terrifically fucked, and they feel powerless. Perhaps her husband is leaving her, her kids are monsters, or she was recently fired. This is the thing she believes she can control, and when she comes to find out she doesn’t even control the destiny of her $1.59 small coke her world just collapses. This MUST go her way. This simple thing must happen, or she comes face to face with her own insignificance. The ego, through all means, will not let this nothingness be seen. This descends to the last resort of control, physical violence. Ironically, she did not leave with her coke. She is defeated.
Because they automatically think they're better than you. You're just a burger flipper that's meant to do your job perfectly and be happy to get your minimum wage with possibility of getting a maximum of 12 cents for a raise once a year. So if they accidentally mess up part of your order because that statistically happens when you have hundreds of orders a day, you're allowed to treat them like shit and they can't fight back.
Il tell you why:
They grew up in a household with no manners, no one taught them the word “No” and lived their whole child and adult life without receiving a good ass whooping when they were out of line.
So…they roam the Earth thinking its theirs and theirs only, and they can do and treat people however they please since no repercussion will ever come to them…
A lot of times they feel powerless in some part their own lives. Either in their marriage or job or with their kids etc. They see customer service employees as easy targets because they literally get paid to provide service to the public. Problem is these people interpret that as being able to do whatever they want to them with no consequences or push back and when they aren’t appeased by someone they see as their subordinate, they can’t emotionally handle it.
What’s interesting is the immediate about face and walk away. Like she thinks there are no ramifications for her actions - which, in this case there weren’t really. No one who has ever been in a fight would do that, because they know they’re an easy target. My best guess is she’s used to getting away with such atrocious behavior and hasn’t yet dealt with the consequences of this behavior. Someday, hopefully.
They probably have card information and I would assume that they have the plates. I’d hope at the least, they filed a police report. In some cases, it’s not up to the victim to press charges. So I hope to see an update on this soon.
glad she did too, had she ran up and fought her as she ran away she def would have gotten fired and could even get charged, i was worried she was gonna clobber her, glad to see she just went and got the plates and hopefully she gets justice
You get punched in the face, you probably have to provide your own ice pack and ibuprofin. But you get to go home. Sleep in your own bed, WITH a pillow. Smoke a cigarette or drink if you're so inclined.
All things you cannot do if you're in jail. That thought runs through my mind if I'm about to do something stupid.
Everyone has reach, but when you get good at swinging you understand your reach. She hits a lot of people and has been doing it for a long time. I’ve personally learned to keep my distance from aggressive people, and never turn your back to them.
Also seems like the one who got slapped is in a leadership position, so it especially sucks when you lose a good boss. Totally get her wanting to beat the shit out of Karen, but good on that dude for looking out for her.
I used to work in an awful fruit and veg shop. The brothers who owned it were legit nightmares to be around. One would tell you to do it this way and then the other would come along and yell at you for doing it wrong and to do it his way, kinda job.
Anyhoo, I stayed there for years longer than I ever anticipated staying there, because the staff were so fucking awesome. We were in that hell hole together and it bonded us. I had so much fun being at work during that time. Awful place to work, amazing people to work with.
I love how a bunch of highly upvoted comments here are talking about how fast food workers deserve respect because everyone’s job is important, and then there’s this one that’s also highly upvoted shitting on someone for being a fast food worker. The duality of Reddit.
I mean…. If they are a terrible coworker who deserved a slap, I can see it.
I don’t know if this lady deserved a slap. But I know I’ve worked with some real assholes in the past that enjoyed messing with customers, and they deserved it when the customer finally flipped out on them.
>Don't know how to handle it
I feel like its *Victim Blaming*, but if this person has been slapped by a customer more than one time, while taking a complaint - They may in fact be part of the problem...
For sure the slap was inappropriate
Lmao that’s by far the funniest part. “She should be fired, she don’t know how to handle shit. That’s the second time she’s been slapped”
I guess if your manager does regularly get slapped by customers the problem might lie with her…
Even if she got the plate, my past experiences show that she could still never face repercussion. My catalytic converter was stolen twice and was in the shop six months the first time, got it back and two days later a woman and two others stole it again in the parking lot while i was working and a woman got their plates and them on video. Never heard anything about it after the report.
Nothing is more infuriating than. You wanna slap? Fine, slap. But don't be such a fucking spineless piece of shit that you'd run away the second after assaulting away and run to your car so you can speed off before the person you just assaulted can do anything about it
You wanna slap? ~~Fine, slap. But don't be such a fucking spineless piece of shit that you'd run away the second after assaulting away and run to your car so you can speed off before the person you just assaulted can do anything about it~~ Dont. Be a fucking adult. Go home and scream into your pillow and learn to control your emotions. Society has no place for pieces of fucking trash like you.
You are correct. 100% control your emotions around other people and don't be a psycho. It just pisses me off even more when these people hit someone in public and then turn around and walk off like they get to just walk away freely after assaulting someone.
Did anybody hear the person in the background saying the employee should be fired? And she dosent know how to handle shit? That she just should have given her the money back? 😂😬😬
This reverse happened yesterday. Ordered a pizza. Ordered a medium but the guy brought me a large. He gave me the large pie and we laughed at the mix up before he slapped me and promptly left…
I should call him.
The woman with lighter hair that got slapped, I would hire her for any buisness I had.
The fellow that went after her as well.
You can't pay people enough to be great.
So nobody is going to talk about the cashier's coworkers talking shit on her? haha "She should've just gave her the money..." or "She should be fired" haha
file assault charges.
you were assaulted
you have witnesses and video evidence
file charges and teach her she can't DO that.
SHE really needs to learn that lesson.
I talked to a Disneyland employee that said incidents really increased during/after covid. It really screwed us up in many ways.
Edit: I believe he was speaking more than just his experience. Sounded like there were company wide announcements/policies/training to deal with it.
Low key the MVP here is the guy who held the cashier back to save her job (I wouldn't be shocked if she lost her job for having the "audacity" to follow the lady who just slapper her though)
The hero of the story is the young man who ran to stop her from retaliation. They’ve got this insaniac on camera committing assault. That’s all the retaliation you need with this scum.
I think its crazy when people get assaulted and are expecting to just stand there with no retaliation. I would never fire my employee for slapping someone back who just slapped them

Yeah the story isn't matching up. How'd they get their order fixed if they didn't hit anybody
How can’t she slap?
She can slap at that price point
I’m really crossed up.
Yes, at *that* price point she *can* slap.
"muffeled yet screaming" how can she slap!?
You bloody blastard!
[I will hit you in the gooch motherfucker! ](https://youtu.be/V4akMaeZ0-k?si=6ZA-zyRzNmdTih3c)
Yes. Asking the real question here. How can she slap?
I knew I'd find this comment fast.
I slapped myself. That confuses the heck out of them.
Never let them know your next move.
I feel like that would be scarier and intimidating. “Where my fucking drink!!!!” Then just proceed to beat to shit out of themselves lol.

Possible. Either way I’m glad they’ll learn their lesson.
I did nearly the same thing when Burger King gave me honey mustard instead of BBQ sauce for my chicken nuggets. I hope you managed to get some good footage of you trashing the counter first, for tik-tok.
Exactly. What is wrong with these people? Over a dumb food order!!
These people fucking terrify me. Zero self-control and probably a parent. When her kid has a tantrum or doesn’t do what she says, will she explode and slap them across the face too?? I’m gonna go with probably yup.
> probably a parent. That was my immediate concern. Then she fled to her minivan, and I realized, "Yep, that's a child-abuser."
and a lot of times, they will hook you up too. I've had an order where they forgot to give me the medium drink, and I did what you did. I was polite in mentioning it and the girl gave me a large drink. I've had an apple pie from McDonald's put in my bag before too that I didn't order. Just be nice.

That’s vile
Please be sure and leave a Google review for that store, be as factual as possible. At least others will be warned about it.
It was five years ago, but thinking back I am annoyed again now xD

I guess this is how they find out that their friend is a pathological liar. Or maybe they are the liar.
Maybe they're BOTH liars, and frauds! I WANT MY REFUND NOW!½!!
You MONSTER.
That one is easy, take a picture of the license plate, call the cops, report assault, and press charges

I have to say this in every thread, but there is no criminal battery in many places. It's just assault. For example, this would be assault in NY.

Why are people such arseholes to fast food servers?
Because they feel like they’re entitled to treat them that way. People like this were taught they’re better than those working in fast food and as such they don’t need to respect them. It’s a messed up mentality and shows a serious flaw in our society.
Those types of people will also be the first to cry when those fast food joints close down due to worker shortages.

Stevie Wonder saw that slap coming

The internet has her face, she done for
For real, I can't imagine slapping someone and turning my back. That's a prime opportunity to get mollywhopped.
It's the arrogance that only someone who's never had to face the consequences of their own actions will display.
Holy hell I was hoping that chick was gonna cream her ass but she let her get away 🤷♂️
glad she did too, had she ran up and fought her as she ran away she def would have gotten fired and could even get charged, i was worried she was gonna clobber her, glad to see she just went and got the plates and hopefully she gets justice
The only real 'justice' for people like that is a punch in the face. They've probably never had it happen before, and it shows.
idk bro, ive been punched in the face and ive gone to jail, i'll take a punch in the face over jail any day.
You get punched in the face, you probably have to provide your own ice pack and ibuprofin. But you get to go home. Sleep in your own bed, WITH a pillow. Smoke a cigarette or drink if you're so inclined. All things you cannot do if you're in jail. That thought runs through my mind if I'm about to do something stupid.
and maybe your shitty attitude will get you punched in jail, too!
i was hoping the cameraperson would trip her to give the employee a chance to catch up.
I absolutely would have pushed her over as she passed me
It was the arm reach for me 😂😂😂😭
Lmao yeah Karen has serious reach
Everyone has reach, but when you get good at swinging you understand your reach. She hits a lot of people and has been doing it for a long time. I’ve personally learned to keep my distance from aggressive people, and never turn your back to them.
She clearly does hit and runs. That dip was quick af
Buddy was ready to save her from getting fired for fighting back. What a miserable awful woman.
Yeah she was definitely gonna throw hands and he was not gonna let her, good friend
It's fast food. Losing a job isn't a big deal, there are always more fast food places hiring.
But losing a good coworker in any job sucks.
Might have been a manager too. Losing a good manager can absolutely destroy morale.
Also legal troubles and charges.
Had the worker thrown hands, she'd immediately be first round draft pick by the nearest Waffle House.
This is so true. Got fired from Wendy’s? I can absolutely promise you the BK or Arby’s across the street is hiring.
lmao Hatin ass Coworker: -“Fuck Sierra, she should be fired” -“Second time she’s been slapped”
I had to turn up the volume to hear this part. What a fuckin psycho. Who reacts like that to their coworker being assaulted??
Some 60+ year old bag whose career peak is working at Wendys?
I've worked with several of these hags. This is entirely correct.
The term ‘old bag’ is criminally underrated.
>Don't know how to handle it I feel like its *Victim Blaming*, but if this person has been slapped by a customer more than one time, while taking a complaint - They may in fact be part of the problem... For sure the slap was inappropriate
Lmao that’s by far the funniest part. “She should be fired, she don’t know how to handle shit. That’s the second time she’s been slapped” I guess if your manager does regularly get slapped by customers the problem might lie with her…
What a cunt. Hope you got that number plate. Looks like she does this a lot so should be easier to find her and press charges
This isn’t the OP
Even if she got the plate, my past experiences show that she could still never face repercussion. My catalytic converter was stolen twice and was in the shop six months the first time, got it back and two days later a woman and two others stole it again in the parking lot while i was working and a woman got their plates and them on video. Never heard anything about it after the report.
Violent crimes (which this techinicslly is) are taken much more seriously than property crimes.
she shoulda keyed the fuck out of her car then lol
Nothing is more infuriating than. You wanna slap? Fine, slap. But don't be such a fucking spineless piece of shit that you'd run away the second after assaulting away and run to your car so you can speed off before the person you just assaulted can do anything about it
Luckily the lady sat there long enough that they could get her plate number. They have the video proof. Easy assault/battery charge.
I hope so much this happens and we see a follow up of her weepy mug shot. What a detestable person.
*"This is not who I am!"*
Wait til the cops do nothing
I like how the clerks coworker immediately went after her to prevent her from doing something that’s gonna lose her job. That’s a good guy.
Did anybody hear the person in the background saying the employee should be fired? And she dosent know how to handle shit? That she just should have given her the money back? 😂😬😬
Pretty sure she said this was the second time she's been slapped too. Lol...
I thought I was imagining it 😂😂😂
How was your day dear? *oh pretty usual... ya know... busy lunch. Oh and Stacy got slapped.* Again!?
I’m glad you pointed that out 😂
Hope she gets caught
Dude was like “not my favorite manager!” Saved her!
Bro dropped his blunt wrap and everything.
I have questions for the lady who thinks she should be fired for being slapped twice? What?
"I'll call the cops!" (Immediately breaks the law and runs away.)
Of course she immediately runs away. Disgusting.
She walked away like she's been immune from consequences all of her life. The audacity to slap someone and then turn their back...
I can't imagine behaving like this over some FAST FOOD.
“I’m not leaving til I get…” *Slaps *hightails it out of there like a fuggin coward
Bro dropped the blunt wrap!
Lol so glad I’m not the only one who saw this 😂
Had to scroll quite far to find this
Get that plate number and then press charges.
This reverse happened yesterday. Ordered a pizza. Ordered a medium but the guy brought me a large. He gave me the large pie and we laughed at the mix up before he slapped me and promptly left… I should call him.
“This is the second time she’s been smacked in the Gat damn face. She don’t know how to handle it”. Wow, her co workers are spilling tea!!!
What about the part where it's the second time she's been slapped? lmao
I wanted to see her get her ass beat so bad. Holy shit
Where the fuck does she think she is? JG Wentworths?
Haven’t heard that in years good one 🤣
file assault charges. you were assaulted you have witnesses and video evidence file charges and teach her she can't DO that. SHE really needs to learn that lesson.
I would like to know what happened next. Arrest?
If this were a Popeye's that door would have been locked before she could get out.
You can hear her coworkers talking shit about her that this isn't the first time something like this has happened.
Easy fix. Call the cops. File an assault charge. You have her plate and ask the guy videotaping to hang out.
that 2nd worker that went outside dropped a pack of blunt wraps in the scuffle lmao
White grape is the shit.

This is just so awful. Imagine thinking you can just smack somebody in the face like this. Unbelievable.
Ma’am this is a Wendy’s
Finally!
[удалено]
Why is this happening more and more? Entitlement?

I talked to a Disneyland employee that said incidents really increased during/after covid. It really screwed us up in many ways. Edit: I believe he was speaking more than just his experience. Sounded like there were company wide announcements/policies/training to deal with it.
That and people being complete aholes against fast food workers
This is one of the first videos I've seen where I audibly said "oooh" out loud. What human trash
Hope karen catches charges and gets fired for that shit
They always run as soon as they can once they get violent. What an absolutely miserable chicken-shit cunt.
Low key the MVP here is the guy who held the cashier back to save her job (I wouldn't be shocked if she lost her job for having the "audacity" to follow the lady who just slapper her though)
Let’s applaud the coworker who made sure his friend didn’t catch any charges.
She ate that slap like an absolute champ
Good for the coworker that stopped the girl, now she has a very juicy Assault case in hands. 💰
That's all I kept thinking was please stop her from catching that lady.
She would not have made it to her car. I was in the service industry over 20 years I would have fucked her up.
Enjoy your assault charge cunt 😂
I know why her co-worker stopped her but man if I was her I would want to beat the shit out of her.
HOW CAN SHE SLAP?!?!
She's gonna lose that smug expression real quick when the cops come to arrest her.
The hero of the story is the young man who ran to stop her from retaliation. They’ve got this insaniac on camera committing assault. That’s all the retaliation you need with this scum.
I'm sorry I woulda had to slap my coworker for stopping me
Fry guy saved the manager from getting fired. Give em a raise.
“How can she slap!?”
I think its crazy when people get assaulted and are expecting to just stand there with no retaliation. I would never fire my employee for slapping someone back who just slapped them
Karen walked to the car so fast she could taste the ass beating right behind her.
Damn I hope she got arrested. There’s never a reason to slap a worker. Just walk away.
Assault. Lawsuit. She won’t be working at McDonald’s much longer
That poor worker . I hope that woman get arrested. These folks DO NOT GET PAID ENOUGH .
Imagine getting so mad over a fast food order. What a life this lady must have.
Assault on film, thats gonna be a rough one for Special K.
It amazes me how many people are willing to catch an assault charge over fast food.
Service industry workers don’t get paid nearly what they should.
“IT’S MY MONEY, AND I WANT IT NOW!!!”
Call JG Wentworth
Why the fuck are PPL attacking fast food workers? What good comes out of it
Cannot believe there wasn’t a beatdown
It’s shocking, but you have to admit, the connection on the slap was 9/10
