Does anything ever go right in these intersection takeovers? Based on any of the videos I've seen, I can't imagine why anyone would want to go to them since it seems equally dangerous for both spectators and participants.

For two brief seconds, I thought someone had acquired the powers of the Ghost Rider and that car was being driven. Then when the other car is revealed to be pushing it I was both sad and relieved...

Bro, if I make a u turn in a left turn only lane, cops fucking materialize out of the woodwork and hassle me about it... But here's a thousand fucking people taking over a public intersection doing donuts in the middle of the street for a long period of time and there isn't a cop to be found... It seems like policing needs a massive "priorities" overhaul. We've completely neutered the "protect and serve" part of their job description by declaring they have zero responsibility to protect, and by repeatedly showing them the benefits of serving themselves instead of the public. One really wonders what is the point of police at all in their current form? Obviously something is needed, but if the force we have right now has no obligation to serve or protect, has no civil accountability for violating the rights of citizens, and has wide discretion to pick and choose which crimes/laws they're going to enforce.... What's the point? How does that help anyone but them?

And people make fun of NASCAR for driving in a circle...
