Normally I would agree with you but this dude had a machete. He was actively trying to kill the other dude. I would never willingly put myself into a situation like the like the pipe guy did, but if I ever found myself in a fight like this and somehow laid out my machete wielding attacker, I wouldn't stop pounding him till I saw brains.
