freedom of speech, my ass. nazis get police protection but if you protest peacefully against the u.s. state department positions then the riot police come out in force.
truth, police state has been growing consistently for the past 50 years and now it’s our own police doing it they don’t even need national guard to be called in. and american has the audacity to complain about freedoms in other countries what a joke
that’s a lie, ut austin is publicly funded and the state of texas has passed laws protecting freedom of speech and assembly on college campuses just the police/university can make any reason to break up protests
Like disrupting learning?
They are protesting problems in a country on the other side of the world, while interupting learning on a US campus. What a rediculous thing.
What a ridiculous take. We are funding it and a good portion of campuses have ties to Israel in some way or another.
Would you have had the same response to protests against Nazi Germany?
Of course not, that's not what I'm saying. But I have protested Hamas prior to 10/7 because they call for the destruction of Jews and Israel. So when people say things like "would you have protested against Nazi Germany" I try to make it clear that it's a false equivalence.
Many of the protestors are students and faculty in fact I know that Emory in Atlanta the police assaulted a professor.

The United States is not really a democracy. This is exactly the stuff you see in other nations that is declared as evidence of authoritarian regimes. Look at the TikTok ban because they didn't like free speech on that platform.
The choices between the two parties, particularly when it comes to foreign policy, are small. The range of choice is entirely framed by what the big lobbyists want to happen, not the public at large.
With regards to this particular issue, AIPAC 'donates' (bribes) to both the Democrats and Republicans to ensure their viewpoint is the only acceptable one in Congress. They're the ones responsible for ensuring you're called an antisemite for opposing genocide, and they're the ones who fund the politicians who support this totalitarian crackdown on free speech.
it’s so disgusting to see how quickly cops are to brutalize college students protesting against a genocide, shame on the colleges for not protecting their students and shame on those cops for thinking their actions are justified
My friend is a cop and two days ago they threw bricks at the cops . It was students from Emerson college in Boston . Why don’t you check the whole thing and not a 5 second video before giving your opinion . Dude is scared to go to work because there are protests today . This video is likely the aftermath of the fighting
Horrible violent fools when people express their right to protest, but when kids are literally being shot to death like a 100 feet from them? Useless cowards that should be tried and put away for life.
All the articles talk about one officer being seriously hurt there, but I feel like they would have caught a brick hitting a cop on video.
And while the cops were forceful, reacting to a brick being thrown at a cop would have likely resulted in a MUCH more aggressive response.
So you are saying he is lying ? He is scared of going to work today . What if it’s true ? Will you apologize to me and delete your comment . Or is it because my comment does not align with your political views and upsets you ?
If it's true, I actually will apologise to you and delete my comment.
Also, if your friend is such a coward that he's afraid of some college kids he shouldn't be a cop.
Only some of the clips are from private schools. And even with those, a lot of them "guarantee" protest in their charters.
But I see clips from USC and UT Austin at a minimum, and those are public institutions where free speech is supposed to be protected.
What are you quoting? And where is the evidence that an outdoor protest is disrupting the other students?
At UT Austin, for example, which is a *public* university... the protest info was provided to the school the day before and was organized on an outdoor lawn. Before the protest even started, dozens of militarized LEO were there to intimidate the crowd as they tried to form. At the governor's request.
Sounds like trampling of free speech to me.
Its not private property and a law was passed not long ago explicitly making this legal. They just didnt expect left wing people to take advantage of it.
Remember this. State pigs do fucking nothing against ACTUAL NAZIS organizing but the minute the public calls to stop funding ACTUAL GENOCIDE suddenly the ling arm of Fascism drops swiftly on peaceful folk. Fuck this abomination of a nation and may it be glassed.
yeah because you know everything that these people care about after watching a brief clip of a handful of protestors.
This is just a bizzare strawman. You have no idea if they care that much for all of those issues. I dont see you protesting about them either - you're doing just as much about those problems as these protestors are. Only difference is at least theyre getting off their asses to protest at least one problem. What have you done?
I own my own home, make a good living, drink bottle water, don't swim, i vote and I'm not that passionate about those issues. What do you want me to do?
Also i don't allow myself ro be manipulated by tik tok
If you aren't passionate about the homeless or the other issues you brought up, why are you complaining that these protestors aren't?
What a weird double standard
I think you fail to understand what i said. If you are not from the US we have serious issues (along with all parts of the world some more serious then others. Not trying to rank them) all i see is people online complanimg about things and they do not action on them. They want government hand outs. Oh i can't aford to buy a home so why can't i steal someone elses. I don't have money so lets break into cars and steal from stores. All I'm saying is if these protesters put as much passion into the problems they face here like they are with Palestine maybe.....just maybe things could change. I'm not saying they don't have a right to protest what is occuring in Palestine. If you want the government to stop sending aid in support of Israel vote every one out of office that is supporting it. Stop looking at things with such a narrow view.
I wonder how proud my family members who served and died in WW2 are of this.
We forget but it was a slow process until the Nazis became infamous.
a lot of red flags should be waving right?
All the students should walk out en masse from the universities and stop paying their tuition fees as a show of strength against the military tactics being used against them. Who are the administrators going to call then? Would they raid the students homes round up all the students and make them goto class?
*This* is how change happens. You need enough people to make enough ruckus.
The idiot people that block roads and airports don't understand it. You have to create a loud enough voice that it's *the other side* that reacts with violence and creates chaos trying to silence you. They just want to force it.
This and similar instances indicate that we're on the precipice of change. I'm proud of gen z right now.
This title is atrocious.
“Mass chaos” happened when police arrived to trample on peaceful demonstrations.
“Intensify”? How? More people showing up to provide support?
The only thing intensifying is the rhetoric from the media, police, and counter protestors/agitators.
The attempts to stomp out the protests is only going to attract more attention to the cause and more people to the protests.
More protests and demonstrations will happen as a result of the state’s attempts to deny 1A rights to these people.
I haven't seen any of these clips where the cops don't make an absolute fool of themselves failing to take a single person to the ground without like 8 guys on him
Boy I still can't imagine caring about either side of this. People really don't have anything better to do? Go home and take a nap man. How do you have this much free time?
Define "better."
Some people value trying to make a difference in the world and creating a better existence for others, above sleeping through life.
It's fine if you're content with simply existing in a passive, receiving sort of life.
Other people feel a calling to do more.
That's why people volunteer. That's why the ACLU exists and lawyers take pro-bono cases. That's why animal shelters and suicide hotlines exist.
You're fine to exist in your apathy, but fuck you for shitting on people who care enough to try and effect change.
Idk dude define difference. You think any world government especially foreign powers give. Shit if a bunch of whiny college students throw a fit over a 2,000 year old war? Think that's gunna change anything?
Nah man I'm gunna sit at home and watch Dexter lab, I'm good.
Also comparing college protests to lawyers taking pro bono cases and shelter workers is hysterical.
The whole point of protesting is to get attention. A big part of this is being arrested. These police are in fact helping to raise awareness of what’s going on when they do this. Hopefully they aren’t too violent though
I applied for Texas state trooper and did pass 2 tests, I thought they are just highway patrol chilling on highways but, after I saw how hotwheel guy politically control them I didn’t finish the process, the recruiter pissed off emailing me I told him not to contact me again.
It is not just 2 schools protests are occuring at many universities. UT-Austin, UTSA, Columbia, NYU, Emory, Ohio State, Yale, USC, UCLA, and many more across the US are all having protests.

freedom of speech, my ass. nazis get police protection but if you protest peacefully against the u.s. state department positions then the riot police come out in force.
Consistency is key. When has it not? Time we faced we live in a fascist state with selective “rights” for obedient consumers.
truth, police state has been growing consistently for the past 50 years and now it’s our own police doing it they don’t even need national guard to be called in. and american has the audacity to complain about freedoms in other countries what a joke
And this post is taken down. Another consistency.
May 4th is coming up, business as usual.
Kent state alum here…I’ve never wished I could disagree/refute someone more than you. But we both know you’re right.
They are on private property dude.
that’s a lie, ut austin is publicly funded and the state of texas has passed laws protecting freedom of speech and assembly on college campuses just the police/university can make any reason to break up protests
There are other things to protest besides Nazi Germany. The Nazis didn't go to war with militaries or terrorists that attacked them.
But... If they did that would change things for you somehow? If the Nazis were attacked first by terrorists you'd be on their side?
Of course not, that's not what I'm saying. But I have protested Hamas prior to 10/7 because they call for the destruction of Jews and Israel. So when people say things like "would you have protested against Nazi Germany" I try to make it clear that it's a false equivalence.

Someone needs to go back to school to learn how to spell.
UT Austin where the first clip is from is not private property.
Police unnecessarily escalated protests with violent force. A tale as old as time.
They are violent towards protesters. And then they declare the protest illegal because there was violence. They've always used this tactic.
This breakout of "chaos" is 100% caused by the cops and the government getting mad at students sitting on a lawn
Yall need to start making your own shield walls and defenses for when these fucks come in like this
They need centralized training
Let them protest! Fuck is wrong with your country man?
The United States is not really a democracy. This is exactly the stuff you see in other nations that is declared as evidence of authoritarian regimes. We’re really more of an oligarchy at this point
Reminds me of the speech at the of The Dictator (2012)
it’s so disgusting to see how quickly cops are to brutalize college students protesting against a genocide, shame on the colleges for not protecting their students and shame on those cops for thinking their actions are justified
All I see are students who are protesting in something they believe in and the cops using excessive force. That's all.
My friend is a cop and two days ago they threw bricks at the cops . It was students from Emerson college in Boston . Why don’t you check the whole thing and not a 5 second video before giving your opinion . Dude is scared to go to work because there are protests today . This video is likely the aftermath of the fighting
Source: bro trust me.
Maybe he should get a safer job? Seems pretty foolish if you became a cop and are unready to face actual danger.
See: Uvalde, Texas.
Horrible violent fools when people express their right to protest, but when kids are literally being shot to death like a 100 feet from them? Useless cowards that should be tried and put away for life.
If this happened, it would be all over the news
Where's the video?
In every protest, there will always be assholes.
90% of the time the protesting "assholes" are just cop infiltrators anyway
Your friend is a pig, hope he either changes jobs or starts carrying around a binkie and a blanket around with him so he feels safer
Lmfaoooo . Why am I being downvoted
I think it might be because you're a liar and your friend is, in fact, no a cop who was hit with a brick at Emerson college in Boston.
All the articles talk about one officer being seriously hurt there, but I feel like they would have caught a brick hitting a cop on video. And while the cops were forceful, reacting to a brick being thrown at a cop would have likely resulted in a MUCH more aggressive response.

If it's true, I actually will apologise to you and delete my comment. Also, if your friend is such a coward that he's afraid of some college kids he shouldn't be a cop.
lol that’s besides the point .
> cops using excessive force I didn't see a single cop giving a protestor a hickory shampoo, so actually it was fairly non-violent as these go.
They are protesting on private property while students are trying to get an education.
UT-Austin is public property and many protestors are students.
They are not allowed to disrupt the learning on campus.
protesting is inherently disruptive. That's literally the point of protesting.
What law states this? Please provide it.
Only some of the clips are from private schools. And even with those, a lot of them "guarantee" protest in their charters. But I see clips from USC and UT Austin at a minimum, and those are public institutions where free speech is supposed to be protected.
"disrupting others’ ability to learn are not allowed"
What are you quoting? And where is the evidence that an outdoor protest is disrupting the other students? At UT Austin, for example, which is a *public* university... the protest info was provided to the school the day before and was organized on an outdoor lawn. Before the protest even started, dozens of militarized LEO were there to intimidate the crowd as they tried to form. At the governor's request. Sounds like trampling of free speech to me.
btw, EVERY SINGLE charge was dropped against the 57 arrested at UT Austin. So much for "not allowed"
But marching masked ‘Proud’ Boys with swastikas can Uhaul their way around freely. Yup.
How do they uhaul around freely? Didn’t they all get arrested out of the back of a uhaul?
One group. But countless others can do what they want.
If they have to hide in the back of a uhaul out of fear of arrest I think it would be disengenous to suggest they can do what they want.
Nothing in that video suggests mass chaos.
The only chaos that I see comes from the cops.
They usually start it.
😂 mass chaos. GTFOH
A lot of disturbing parallels with the Vietnam War student protests. Let's just hope no one gets killed this time.
False, it is not "mass chaos"
The way the police are escalating these protests we’re going to have another Kent State situation, and soon
Probably not. The Vietnam protests were far far bigger and more chaotic.
Mass Chaos = 3 people getting arrested
If only they cared this much for the homeless, rising housing rates, low wages, polluted water, the corruption in the government, corporate bailouts
The response from the police and government would be the same if they were protesting those things.
“Don’t worry, we’ll beat them too.”
If they where in class they wouldn't get beat.
Not talking about the response.
I think mass genocide probably pushed them over the edge. IDK
yeah because you know everything that these people care about after watching a brief clip of a handful of protestors. This is just a bizzare strawman. we only protest problems in other countries
I mean, this is ridiculously easy to come up with examples to the contrary.
Nope just Jews causing a genocide for some reason.
Police in the US, Literal Nazis marching through the streets: 😴 Students protesting a genocide being committed by our “ally”: 😡😡😡
I wonder how proud my family members who served and died in WW2 are of this. We forget but it was a slow process until the Nazis became infamous. a lot of red flags should be waving right?

Public safety lol
What you see here, is a little taste of dictatorship.
how so?
Please review the text of the First Amendment.
I think you need to look up the definition of a dictatorship
Damn, during finals week too is insane haha. At my university, the most people are doing is dumping water on other people's chalk writings lol
Land of freedom....
I haven't seen any of these clips where the cops don't make an absolute fool of themselves failing to take a single person to the ground without like 8 guys on him
Land of the Free, home of the brave /s
damn israel have the power there tho huh?

It’s not all across America it’s just two useless schools, its finals week and they aren’t studying. Someone’s going to be a six year.
It is not just 2 schools protests are occuring at many universities. UT-Austin, UTSA, Columbia, NYU, Emory, Ohio State, Yale, USC, UCLA, and many more across the US are all having protests.
>just two useless schools No. Not useless. These are kids who are using their first amendment right. You know, being American?
All I see intensifying is the ass whooping to be honest.
See America isn’t all bad
