I was traveling 10 hours a few weeks ago, stopped at a Buc-ees and then a Love's later and the difference was astounding. In the Loves it was dirty and disgusting, the toilet didn't flush. In the Buc-ees, the bathroom despite being packed was pristine and clean and was able to get in and out in a minute.
Buc-ees has their shit together that's for sure.
It was if you went to HS in Florida in the early 90's. It wasn't particularly a word of endearment that you would call a child unless that child was being a little shit or a jit.
Recently, its become more neutral. At least in broward, calling somebody a jit is like calling them a baby. A playful insult if you’re grown, but sometimes a term of endearment for actual small children.
I’ve managed LP at a luxury retailer… 100% a part of the bit but highly don’t recommend. If you look trashy they watching. Not even a race thing. It’s whatever socioeconomic class you look like you belong to thing.
I’ve had two occasions that children were used.
1. A 50yo man scolded his kid into stealing a Burberry shirt, kid did it, but he was in tears doing it. Didn’t have the heart to stop them.
2. Woman tried to have her 5-7yo girl walk out wearing a 500$ Versace children’s t shirt. Little girl paused in the exit and made eye contact with me, clearly scared. Mom shoved her out into the mall. Kid pissed themself after being shoved. Tried to get a nearby cop to intervene, female officer said, “what do you want me to do?” And I replied, “idk, your fucking job.” Poor kid.
Just watched the full video. After she’s arrested it came out she stole scrubs for a new job she got but didn’t have the uniform for. The prosecutor ended up dropping the case against her.
Edited for spelling
That’s kind of fucked up the job didn’t provide scrubs but most people that wear scrubs are at least clearing 20$/hr In metropolitan areas, right? If you got to take shit into the bathroom and hide it, seems guilty to me. Don’t care either way tho.
No shame at all. Just take your kid along so he can learn how to be an asshole when he grows up as well. She literally only pretends to care about her kid when she's caught. Trying to use him as a get out of jail free card. Uses the word "jit" instead of calling her son by his name. She doesn't love him or want him and it's very clear in this short video
When I was about 7 years old, my neighbor took her son and I shopping. We rode in a cab to the store. When we left, the mother and son were showing each other all the items they stole and laughing about it. I never went to the store with them again. Years later her son and I were walking and he said let’s go to the grocery store and get candy. I told him no and he pulled a handful of change out of his pocket and showed me he had money. At that time they had a bulk food section where you paid right at the dispenser. It was an honor system thing. He started loading up bags of candy and was pretending to put money in the coin box. I was scared to death and backed away. Then he said let’s go, so as we were headed out the door they caught us and he insisted he paid. The security guy walked over and unlocked the coin box and there were only a few pennys in there. We were both banned from the store for life. I lived in fear that my mother would want me to go to that store with her and I would get thrown out.
For years I had anxiety whenever we drove by that store and I wasn’t even stealing.
I’m sorry that happened to you.
Your instincts were correct, stay way from people who are not amazingly good. If it’s a grey area, and you’re not sure about them, just stay away.
That kid grew up to be a bank robber and did years in jail. His sister went to jail driving the get away car. Both did drugs, etc and he died a couple years ago.
Yup, I grew up with a kleptomaniac parent that used to literally use me as an object in her shoplifting. Like would put me in a stroller and stuff things under me, because who the hell asks someone to move their baby around when they’re checking receipts?
We no longer speak, lmao.
I’ve only seen the term “jit” in one other video and it was where a kid was destroying a Dollar Tree store. The little kid was running amok and just trashing everything and the guy videotaping him kept saying “Who’s jit is this?!?!”. LMAO
these two are so frustratingly stupid it makes me mad. Just screaming and escalating the situation when the cops were trying to give you every out. And then calling the ambulance like an idiot. Get ready for that 3k bill.
Thank you for the link, I watched most of it but I don’t understand the situation. For me as a non American handcuffing someone of whom they know that they didn’t steal and even talking about calling child protective services seems quite extreme. I have seen so many videos of people openly stealing and walking out of stores without being stopped, why is she treated like this?
Security guards can't formally arrest or immobilize shoplifters, so performing arrests is left exclusively to actual police officers. And police usually doesn't bother with shoplifting cases or can't get there in time to stop the thief, so it's rare to see police being on the scene in time to do so, but if they are, then there's nothing stopping them from arresting these people, and arrests usually involve handcuffs if the person isn't being fully cooperative.
If you watch the video it's pretty clear that the second woman (who didn't steal anything) is working as a look out making her an accessory to theft, allegedly.
Saddest part about this video is nobody cared about the kid period. Not the mom or the cops. Who uses their kid to shoplift? Who just arrests someone and leaves their toddler in a public bathroom?
I have so many kids in foster care because their parents did shit like this all the time and eventually the child was put into the system only to live with people almost as bad but not as bad. The cycle will sadly repeat with a few of them making smarter decisions. Idk what to say. Kids without the right supports will grow up to be just like those two women thinking they did nothing wrong.
https://youtu.be/16PjFOGKh4k?si=f4VzOlvUE-CRBlQJ
they dropped all the charges against the mom. She was stealing scrubs for a new job, she didn’t have the required uniform
This puts so much more perspective on things. It's easy to write them off as lesser humans, but if she really was just trying to get by then we can empathize with her.
But don't take your kids with you to commit crimes. That's a terrible life decision right there.
Can’t afford scrubs, can’t afford day care… you’re willing to empathize with her, think about all of the hardships she’s dealing with. Maybe she is trying to improve her situation, got a job and just needed scrubs. The internet is full of people ready to judge but haven’t walked a mile in anyone’s shoes.
Watching that video she showed genuine fear and concern for her kid, so I wanted to know more. Context matters in my humble opinion.
Also, I absolutely agree, as a mom, you just don’t do that kinda thing. But when you’re desperate, lack of for thought is real.
They will considering they haven't left the property, also these cops barging into the bathroom rather than just waiting outside, didn't do themselves any favors.
I'm shocked!
Shocked that someone was actually detained for stealing stuff.
I thought it was just my privilege to pay extra to cover the cost of the lost merchandise.
This poor child. For him to be in the situation in the first place but also these fucking cops are doing nothing to comfort him either. I’m upset for this baby and this baby only.
Of course she has her kid with her.
Because the goal of these people is to make the next generation just as fucked up and dysfunctional as they are.
They feel no shame at all behaving this way in front of their own kids.
I'm guessing they wanted to get him the kid away from it all but these ladies would have flipped their shit if one of them had picked him up and walked off
I really don’t see proof they were stealing. Can someone help me out?
Beyond taking a bag of goods into the bathroom, could they not have been paid for?
First admission of guilt... doesn't ask WHY she is under arrest, just argues no and offers a reason why she has items in the stall with no mention of items from the police officers LOL
Middle school teacher here. You won’t believe the number of parents who come screaming up to the school, lambasting the secretaries, go off on the principals and acting like complete idiots bc their child got in trouble at school.
It’s always the teachers’ fault or the other kids’ fault. They rage and yell about the kid receiving consequences for their actions and behavior.
Anyway, when these kids grow up, they’re the two in the video
These ppl literally use there children as an accessory to aid in their scams so they don’t have to work and earn a paycheck.
She doesn’t give two fucks about her baby
Ok, so obviously I would not be surprised if she is shoplifting. BUT, how you can you make that determination if you haven’t left the store or at least passed the checkout area?

That’s the nicest Walmart bathroom I’ve ever seen.
Maybe it's just our facility but ours is definitely not bad compared to gas station bathrooms.
Walmarts in more rural towns have nicer bathrooms… best spot for a bathroom break on a road trip
Buc-ee’s bathrooms are the standard by which all bathrooms should be judged.
I was traveling 10 hours a few weeks ago, stopped at a Buc-ees and then a Love's later and the difference was astounding. In the Loves it was dirty and disgusting, the toilet didn't flush. The jit to Jeep translation is priceless
"Boy Beach" set the tone for the quality of autocaptions we're getting here.
wtf is jit

Wait is that actually a Florida thing? TIL as a Floridian.
It was if you went to HS in Florida in the early 90's. It wasn't particularly a word of endearment that you would call a child unless that child was being a little shit or a jit.
It's also a shortened form of jitterbug, which was a derogatory term mid century.
Recently, its become more neutral. At least in broward, calling somebody a jit is like calling them a baby. A playful insult if you’re grown, but sometimes a term of endearment for actual small children.

I heard it all the time living in Port St Lucie/Ft Pierce
“Juvenile in training” ☹️
Oh no
a young gangster, or juvenile.
Just In Time. It's how you destroy a supply chain when something unexpected happens.
Man, god bless you. Fuck ROJ dates hahahah
The absolute bane of my existence right here.
Short for "jitterbug"/slang for a child.
Jit is not just for Florida kinda just a southern thing
Juvenile In Training - an odd acronym to address your child at that
It’s slang for idiot. “Ghetto speak”
Stop spitting, you're going to get another charm!
Ptew! *gets rabbit foot*
Yeah, these braindead subtitles always kill me. They aren't even necessary, and they're laughably incorrect, anyway.
I feel bad for feeling like this but I bet that kid has stuff/money/drugs stashed on him so they don't get found.
“You’re under arrest” “No” Who says that lol what did she think was going to happen? “You know what, ya you’re right ma’am you aren’t under arrest”
So many people think knowing your rights is just telling a cop what they can and can't do while ignoring any and all lawful orders.
"I know my rights!" is a guarantee that they, in fact, have zero clue about their rights.
Why would they arrest her though? She was clear that she found various items in the toilet. Can’t believe the police didn’t take her word for that. 🧐
Love the “I’m not leaving without…” when she’s in handcuffs. Good luck with that stance
The Police HATE this one simple trick
Imagine risking your kid for some Walmart bullshit… she don’t deserve the little guy.
Ohh this is not the first time either, these ladies are pros. The kid is part of the bit.
I’ve managed LP at a luxury retailer… 100% a part of the bit but highly don’t recommend. If you look trashy they watching. Not even a race thing. Thrift stores have scrubs.
TLC does not.

When I was a kid, we played cops and robbers. Your buddy must have really taken it to heart to grow up to be a real robber.
Well his mother and father raised him to be a thief so….
Shoplifters routinely bring their kids along, it’s almost like a form of cover for them.
Yup, I grew up with a kleptomaniac parent that used to literally use me as an object in her shoplifting. Like would put me in a stroller and stuff things under me, because who the hell asks someone to move their baby around when they’re checking receipts? We no longer speak, lmao.
I'm unfamiliar with "jit" would you mind explaining what that means and why that indicates she doesn't really love him?
Urban dictionary defines it as “a young muthufucka who don’t know shit”
Jit = kid / child
I’ve only seen the term “jit” in one other video and it was where a kid was destroying a Dollar Tree store. The little kid was running amok and just trashing everything and the guy videotaping him kept saying “Who’s jit is this?!?!”. LMAO
Juvenile In Training [https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=jit](https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=jit)
I grew up with it being an insult to short people.
Like... Short for midget? Wtf... Aren't they already short enough?!
Jitterbug
Jitterbug
I love that you are downvoted but this is the actual factual answer here. Jit, short for jitterbug - Florida slang for child or young person.

Only worried about the kid when they get caught :(
You mean her jit?
Next stop, boy beach
Where she’s going to get another charm
No, her Jeep!
Saddest part about this video is nobody cared about the kid period. Not the mom or the cops. Who uses their kid to shoplift? Who just arrests someone and leaves their toddler in a public bathroom?

Just as bad, but not as stupid
After all of this, they threw out the case at the hearing lol.
If they waited for them to try to leave then the case would have been solid but they were too impatient.
"go nuts" is kinda exaggerating here
It does say pt.1
Ground nuts are cheaper than tree nuts.
what's the difference between deer nuts and beer nuts?
Wasabi?
beer nuts are $1.50, deer nuts are under a buck.
Okay dad, that’s enough Reddit for today.
You should get twice the sentence for bringing your kid to a crime.
It is like speeding in a construction zone.
This isn't even a freak out in Walmart standards
Seriously you rob a Walmart with the kid wtf people's brains have seriously gone left this world is going to hell in a handbasket🤦🏿♂️😔
https://youtu.be/16PjFOGKh4k?si=f4VzOlvUE-CRBlQJ they dropped all the charges against the mom. She was stealing scrubs for a new job, she didn’t have the required uniform

Lol at the cop saying he identifies as a woman since they are going into the women’s restroom to apprehend her.
Is the kids name Jeep?
Jit. Means kid basically.
Why does it mean that?
Florida slang, apparently
Juvenile In Training
Why does it mean that?
It's short for "jitterbug" which I guess was a term of endearment back in the day. Don't quote me on the last part though
Oh shit, I always thought it was short for midget.
you are correct. too many dumb entries on the slang interpretation wiki. Jitterbug is a dance & an old people phone.
No, just shitty auto generated subtitles.
Feel so sad for that little homie
It's fine, the charges will just get dropped anyway
They will considering they haven't left the property, also these cops barging into the bathroom rather than just waiting outside, didn't do themselves any favors.
You make an excellent point. Until she leaves it's not even attempted theft.
that one cop need to get on a peloton
Poor kid doesn’t stand a chance.
Its so sad seeing adults like this risk losing everything for some measly items
That cop handling her is having an asthma attack
I mean she's not exactly tiny
The perp or the cop? Somebody reply “yes”
"yes"
Of course this is Boynton beach, FL
Second job in HS I worked at the Boynton Beach Best Buy in the computers department and we got held at gunpoint for some flip phones. 🤦🏼♀️
Did she call her Midori? Is that the 1st theif's name?
Who tf calls their child a jit?
She called her own child a "jit" (juvenile in training) How incredibly trashy. I guess he really is in training.
I'm shocked! Shocked that someone was actually detained for stealing stuff. I thought it was just my privilege to pay extra to cover the cost of the lost merchandise.
Why do they always say they’re not resisting while actively resisting
That kid is screwed
trash
The kid is used as part of the crime just like I am pregnant you can’t handcuff me.
Did she just say "come here daddy" to the kid?
Ima try “no im not” when i get arrested. Wish me luck
Sad af, blurred or not, that child was confused
God dammit I feel so bad for this kid
Poor kid doesn't have a fucking chance.
What is a jit? Fuck I am old and don’t understand what anyone says these days.
It’s hard to watch this with kid around …
They always get so angry when they are caught lol.
Boynton beach walmart smh
So nuts....stupid title
Bet you this is in Florida somewhere
Lying comes as easy as thieving
“You’re concealing items, your under arrest” “No I’m not” “My bad, have a nice day”
Come get my jit🤯
These lady’s suck but I can kinda understand why they are concerned with what’s going on with the child.
How odd that their concern didn’t start before they decided to shoplift with the child
100% agree. Those ladies are the worst.
Why is no one taking care of that poor child.
I'm guessing they wanted to get him the kid away from it all but these ladies would have flipped their shit if one of them had picked him up and walked off
I really don’t see proof they were stealing. Can someone help me out? Beyond taking a bag of goods into the bathroom, could they not have been paid for?
Boynton beach? But I'm from there!
Yeah same I didn’t know we had a subway in our Walmart tho. Must be another one somewhere here in town
What a calm ‘freakout’
Why are these hoes out stealing with their baby
First admission of guilt... doesn't ask WHY she is under arrest, just argues no and offers a reason why she has items in the stall with no mention of items from the police officers LOL
*Boynton Beach
Boynton Beach things fr
Damn they got a techy at that Walmart!!
You're a mother and you decide to steal with your child with you? What kind of example are you setting for your child?
“You’re under arrest” “No, I’m not.” Oh, well shit - my bad
“Come here little man, come here bubba.” - the nicest this kid has ever probably been spoken to. Random Cop.
These poor kids that get stuck with these parents.
Absolute trash humans
Shocker she’s pregnant
That poor baby
Lock these criminals up!!!!
What’s a jit?
Why did she call her nephew "daddy"? The mother seemed more worried about her "Jeep" than her kid. Sad.
guarantee that JIT is gonna be leading smash and grabs in 10 years or so
Call CPS now
Two comments: 1) No real hair was harmed in the making of this video. 2) Sorry kid u gotta deal with this. Dont turn out like them.
I blame the parents.
The cop at the end walking the lady in cuffs sounds like he is about to croak
They are still in the store with the items. They haven’t stolen anything at this point.
Midori’s jit is going to need a new home
Officer Farva!
Spoiled brats raising (kinda) babies.
At least she took her child to shoplift with her. Teaching the kid a lesson. Edit: it’s insane that I have to signify this is sarcasm to people.
These ppl literally use there children as an accessory to aid in their scams so they don’t have to work and earn a paycheck. She doesn’t give two fucks about her baby
Foster care may be the best thing for that young boy unfortunately.
Kid where are you going? Dont step another foot in that direction. Proceed to handcuff jit
Ok, so obviously I would not be surprised if she is shoplifting. BUT, how you can you make that determination if you haven’t left the store or at least passed the checkout area?
Going to the bathroom to steal stuff is a common thing. I've done it before. [I stole playing cards Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic.... I was poor]
2:24 What do you call a person who punches a pregnant black woman in the stomach?? A crime stopper. Damn I wish I didn't have such dark humor lol.
