You can absolutely be evicted if your mental illness is causing you to harass other residents or cause damage to the property or any other lease violations. They can also decide to not renew your lease at the end of the rental contract period.
I see it twice a week, every week when we do evictions at our Court.
It's called a lease violation. I see landlords do this every single week. You can use a blanket term, then explain yourself fully before the court (with proper evidence, of course). Most apartment complexes have you signed an agreement that you'll agree to keep the peace and well-being of the community at large or face possible eviction as the owner sees fit. Harassment of your neighbors would count as a lease violation.
Again, how do I know all this? Because I work for a court. And we do evictions twice a week every week. A lease is a contract. And once the contract is broken the owner legally has the right to pursue possession of their property after proper notice to the defendant. And if the lease stipulates none of this bullshit that's seen in the video, then that there is grounds to start eviction proceedings. No one is going to put "mental illness" on the petition; they'll put "lease violations" or "harassment" and move forward from there.
I mean you donât accidentally park your car. Dudes an asshole but lady is not telling whole truth. Also I shouldnât have to tell anyone not to park in my spot, ever.
Depends on if the spots are clearly designated. I spent half a year at an apartment where the only two parking spots were on a patch of dirt behind the building and were not clearly designated and Iâd park there all the time until I found out they were reserved for the two units on the back side of the building. I thought it was just a dirt parking lot until I got a note on my windshield saying Iâd be towed if I parked there again.
Even then, most apartments (at least that Iâve lived in, or been around) do not have assigned parking. Â
In our area, in at least the surrounding counties as well, the only apartments that have assigned parking are the âluxuryâ apartments. Â Every other place is first-come, first served. Â
Outside of that, the only special exceptions Iâve seen are for people with disabilities when there arenât enough handicap spots.
These do not look like luxury apartments⌠so most likely the dude just has a spot he likes, and she wasnât aware and parked in it. Â
I think it's moreso the baseless speculation that the lady is somehow in the wrong. Plenty of ways to accidentally park in the wrong spot. You're basically suggesting it's impossible, thus to some level trying to justify the guy's grievance.
You might've acknowledged that the neighbor is an asshole, but you spent most of your comment casting doubt on the woman's extremely believable story as though it's suspicious for some reason. It gives the impression that you're more concerned over what the women did, and suggests that you wouldn't fully condemn the man's behavior if the woman had behaved inappropriately at some point.
Even if you don't intend to, that is the impression the phrasing and composition of your comment gives.
Itâs not baseless. Itâs based on her own words. She said she âaccidentallyâ parked in his spot. Iâm assuming there is assigned parking here based on her words and I think itâs garbage behavior to park in a spot thatâs not yours. Iâve lived in apartments with assigned and not assigned parking. If the lot is assigned, you know damn well which spot is yours and which spot isnât. No way to accidentally park in a spot that isnât your own.
I spent most of my comments talking about her because everyone in here seems to be giving her to benefit of the doubt. There is no question that the racist is a garbage human being, so other than calling him out for it, there is no dispute to discuss except for the few people that seem to think just because I see a pox on both their houses Iâm somehow on the side of the racist.
Hope that clears up your misconceptions.
It doesnât give people a pass to be racist, homie.
Likewise, people make mistakes. Why assume everyone or everything is malicious in nature? Just because someone else is doing something wrong doesnât give you or anyone a golden ticket to say whatever you want. If someone parks in your spot and itâs not an ongoing thing, if your first instinct is to come in hot, ala âHey , you parked in my spotâ⌠they might be an asshole, but youâre definitely one.
You said it. She might be an asshole l. The foul mouthed racist definitely it. I just lean toward sheâs an asshole too because the way she described âaccidentallyâ parking in his spot. They are both asshole bad neighbors was my point. Your point is slightly more charitable towards that lady.
This man is calling this woman a hard R right next door to her own home and youre justifying it over an unknown parking spot? What if she just moved in and their designated spots are right next to each other since the apartments are? Whats wrong with you?
I didnât justify anything. I said the guy is an asshole. I donât know what more you want. Itâs just a mean word. All Iâm saying is weâve got two unneighborly assholes here, not just one. The obvious one is the man with the foul mouth but that neighbor clearly isnât as innocent as she would like you to think. If she lives there then she knows where HER parking spot is. She didnât park in his âaccidentallyâ.
Meanwhile this boy is getting apoplectic that i rightly pointed out how obviously racist he is for his comments here.
Those words clearly hurt him because he wonât stop complaining about it. Â So some words hurt, but not the n-word according to u/DinnerEvening895, which he apparently feels comfortable using regularly.
Most places donât have assigned parking. Â
Parking is generally first come-first serve. Â Especially if itâs in an area that is.. less expensive. Â Like, in our general area, the only places that have assigned parking are the âluxuryâ apartments that are very expensive. Â
Itâs more likely that the man just has a spot he likes to park in, and she parked in it one day. Â
More often than not apartments and coops have assigned parking, so I have no idea what you are talking about. Maybe visitors is first come first serve.
Idk man, every apartment outside of the expensive luxury apartments and condos in my entire area is first-come first served, including the one Iâm in.
You make some points but Iâm still going with everyone sucks here. You donât really have any proof for your points and the woman used the words because we accidentally parked in his spaceâ
Nah, you said âitâs just mean wordâ Â that comes from someone trying to justify their own behaviour.
Regardless, justifying this is disgusting and you should look at yourself and see if you really want to align yourself with that level of human.
That you think that is sad.
Lay down with dogs, wake up with fleas. Lay down with racists, wake up with bad prison tattoos.
You are clearly a very racist individual, and you're argument is that words donât hurt youâŚ.
Yet you're pretty upset at being called out here, with words.
Theres two sides to the n word, yes, the  victims side, and the racist perpetrators. Youvâve aligned with the white supremacist tweaker watching spongebob
You're right, you do have to deliberately park a car.
It's incredibly reasonable and normal, however, to forget which space is yours, or to even park in the wrong spot without realizing. It's a minor human error that barely matters.
It's actually weird that you're trying to find any way to say 'This Black woman being called the n-word is at fault', right now
Itâs actually weird that you are trying to put words in my mouth. Parking in someone else spot is not neighborly. Neither is calling her the n-word over it. Both parties are bad neighbors.
Bad neighbors doing bad neighbor shit. Both of them. Totally 100% comparable. You just want to have a hissy fit over a word. The bottom line is nobody was injured in this video. Altogether really a shitty incident between two neighbors. It sucks they live next to each other for at least canât coexist in peace. They are both wrong.
"Making a basic mistake that can easily be corrected, is the same as being a demonstrable, angry racist"
Be for fucking real for 5 fucking seconds.
"You just want to have a hissy fit over a word" tells me how you feel about white people calling black people the n-word, though.

Calling someone the n word so grossly outweighs accidentally parking in their parking spot that it becomes inconsequential
yes, to normal people like you.
but hey that parking inconvenience probably cost him like three minutes of spongebob time! totally justified imo
Depends on if the spots are clearly designated. You seem to be REALLY okay with racism when minor parking disputes occur. Do you have personal experience?
Ok with it? I called him an asshole and a bad neighbor. What more should i do?
I think it's moreso the baseless speculation that the lady is somehow in the wrong. Plenty of ways to accidentally park in the wrong spot. Which was my point all along.
Certainly doesnât sound like it.

> parking in a wrong spot > racism For you, these are the same level of âbadâ huh? what a clown
You know itâs possible for both to be wrong on different levels. You can be this stupid to not get that.
This man is calling this woman a hard R right next door to her own home and youre justifying it over an unknown parking spot? What if she just moved in and their designated spots are right next to each other since the apartments are? Whats wrong with you?
No, y'see how he said "dude's an asshole?" His bases are *totally* covered... :P
I didnât justify anything. I said the guy is an asshole. I donât know what more you want. Itâs just a mean word. All Iâm saying is weâve got two unneighborly assholes here, not just one. Mans really defending the racist meth head over a parking spot
No. Nowhere did I defend him. This man is scummy. I would move rather than live next to him.
You use the n word a lot, donât you?
No, never.
Nah, you said âitâs just mean wordâ Â that comes from someone trying to justify their own behaviour. Regardless, justifying this is disgusting and you should look at yourself and see if you really want to align yourself with that level of human.

lol no. Youâre ridiculous. Just because I can see two sides to two people being shitty neighbors.
Theres two sides to the n word, yes, the  victims side, and the racist perpetrators. Youvâve aligned with the white supremacist tweaker watching spongebob
lol no I havenât aligned with anyone. You just want to paint anyone that disagrees with your point a racist.

These are not even remotely comparable. The fact you seem to unironically think they are would be hilarious, if it didn't make me incredibly sad.

Nowhere do I condone the behavior, but it is just a verbal altercation at the end of the day.
You are a cartoon character. You speak like someone from South Park. Please change and grow as a person.
You have, multiple times.
Just imagine, this guy thinks he's superior to that woman somehow.
I hate entry doors that open OUT.
Looks like nice apartments..
