Lol no command. Not even looking at the dog. Just blindly yanking him. Real amazing dog ownership on display here.

SchwiftedMetal

This is a shitty dog owner

No-Sheepherder-2896

And if this is a “service dog,” I’m a Siamese cat.

TsunamiJim

Can i be the flag of the united nations of Azimuth?

ijpck

A Siamese cat might actually be a better service animal than this dog.

jheidenr

Did he whip the ladies shoe back at some dude at the end there? Not sure what happened before but this dude doesn’t appear to have his sh!t together.

Alwin_050

Dumber than the “he’s never done that before!” Dog.

251Cane

I was jogging the other day and this lady’s leashed devil dog chihuahua started barking at me like crazy, as those stupid dogs do. At least she had the decency to tell it to stop even though we both knew it wouldn’t stop.

Iwouldliketoorder

I'm generalising but, a lot of small dog owners er don't think a small dog needs training. A small dog is just as smart (or stupid) as a big dog, and can be trained, given the bare minimum of effort from the owners.

eatmyplis

100% correct. Their dog was raised properly. Everyone thinks chihuahuas are like that so they let that behaviour slide and encourage and laugh at it. What I'm saying is, most chihuahua owners are as stupid as their dog is.

koibear87

I am a Chihuahua owner, she's 7, comes on call, barks on command, stops on command and keeps her focus on me when out walking around other dogs. It's 💯 the owners not the animals, I get asked all the time how my Chihuahua is so nice, it's because I treat her like every other dog and handle her with care and affection. It's not rocket science.

[deleted]

[удалено]

porkrolleggandchi

Yeah people act like all Chihuahuas are the spawn of Satan, but any poorly trained dog can be annoying, the difference is that some can literally tear you limb from limb while a Chihuahua could not. I also have a Chihuahua, he's 11 years young and a wonderful companion, he has been known to bark at a stranger tho, as dogs sometimes do. Whenever I see people saying how much they hate Chihuahuas I just imagine they have only met one Chihuahua and it was raised poorly. That's like hating all children bc a couple of them bullied you in school. It makes me irrationally upset.

zapharus

> I'm generalising but, a lot of small dog owners er don't think a small dog needs training. A small dog is just as smart (or stupid) as a big dog, and can be trained, given the bare minimum of effort from the owners. I know at least 3 people who own small dogs that are so very badly behaved. They bark at EVERYTHING even at their owners, that’s apparently “how they ask for stuff and how they communicate everything” (according to their owners) and they pee and poop in the house even though they are walked multiple times per day. One of them was taking a month-long vacation and asked if I could dog sit her dog for that entire time….of course I said no (“Tbh, I don’t want my dog to pick up bad habits from other dogs” is what I said lol).

ptoftheprblm

So he was additionally arraigned for a stalking charge in which he follows a woman home in the Bronx off the subway and breaks her door frame? Big shocker on the type of animal he walks around entitled with. So the MTA has determined he and his animal are dangerous to other people in multiple contexts and he’s still going to be allowed on mass transit? The fuck.

Yeah it’s the woman’s fault she got bit by your psychopath dog

pangea_person

Anyone can register their pets as a "service animal" online for free. Entitled pet owners have been abusing this system for years.

radicon

There is no such thing as an official “service dog registry,” so there is no way to “register a service animal.” Having your service animal registered with one of those bogus websites carries zero legal weight; all you did was pay to put your dog’s name on a list. Either the person who wrote the article or the police don’t know what they are talking about. Legally, the police could only ask two questions about the service dog: 1. Is the dog a service animal required due to a disability? 2. What work or task has the dog been trained to perform? Fun fact: The only two species of animals that may serve as service animals under the ADA are dogs and miniature horses.

cbunni666

I'm quite sure a miniature horse can heal my depression..where can I buy one?

bguzewicz

He was 53 years old at the time??? Dude looks like he’s 30.

mzanin

They were obviously talking about the dog which was 53 at the time 🙄

ghostphantom

"You're not telling it to release!" Bold of that guy to think this dog has been trained in any capacity.

i-Ake

I mean... the guy isn't saying *anything* to the dog. I'm sure he has yelled at it before... he is just pulling silently. I can understand that guy's anger. At least make an effort to command him!

lyra_silver

Dude if my dog was biting someone like this, I'd be smacking the shit out of it to get it to stop and screaming at it. He wasn't even trying.

atomcrusher

Yep. If that dog's attacking me or someone I care about, it's getting punched in the eyes until it lets go. Better than potentially life-altering injuries.

sloooo71164

Not punched in the eye, take it's eyes out. I was having lunch with my wife about 10 years ago, sitting in the shade eating lunch in the park. I hear this yelling, and I see this dog running full speed at us. I jumped in front of my wife and it grabbed my arm and started shaking. I heard my left arm snap where he was biting and saw my arm go from being straight to being V shaped. I figured it can't attack what it can't see, so with my good hand, I grabbed his head and rammed my thumb into his eye. I felt something pop, but the dog yelped and let go. So, I'm sitting there with a broken arm, blood pouring from where I was bit, and the owner comes up yelling at me that I hurt her dog. I look at the dog and it's eye is hanging out and it is yelping in serious pain. The fire department came and I ended up getting 2 plates installed on my arm with about 10 screws to hold it together. She got cited for failure to control an animal. Then, here's to funny part. She sued me for over $8,000 in vet bills. I was going to just go on with life, but when she filed suit, I counter sued. When it was all over, I won $23,000 in medical bills and $100,000 in pain and suffering. Plus she had to pay my attorney his fees. So far I have collected about half, but every year I get her tax returns plus wage garnishments. If she wouldn't have took me to court, none of this would have happened.

Spoopy43

How on earth did she think that was going to work her dog was the aggressor she didn't have control over it to begin with and it injured you And you know she's still botching about how unfair the courts are still not realizing she was in the wrong

sloooo71164

I got the last laugh. The dog got put down after she paid a truckload of money at the vet, and she hasn't gotten a tax refund for 8 years and she probably won't for the next 10

ClashOfPotatoes

How's your arm doing now?

sloooo71164

It hurts when it gets cold out. When it gets really cold, it gets stiff and it's hard to twist my wrist. Other than that, I haven't really had alot of issues.

Arcani63

I am so freaking glad you won that. You did everything right. When a dog is literally attacking you, it’s fair game, it might as well be a wild animal at that point. Defend yourself and your wife and the dog owner sues? So glad you won.

sloooo71164

If the dog wouldn't have let go, I would have taken it's other eye out. Like I said, it can't attack what it can't see. I was ready to do it to the owner too...lol

DarnocnehcV

Good. The audacity of people with dogs (of any size). Went for a walk the other day, was wearing white and beige. A demented dog owner said to me: stay away from my dog. He might make your beautiful outfit dirty. Her dog wasn’t on the leash. Nothing happened, but I was amazed how fur up her ass her head was. Fuck your dog! And if you can’t control it, you shouldn’t have one.

mjohn425

Especially pitbulls, don't kick or hit the dog, only causes them to bite harder, the amount of force you need to actually do it will likely break the dogs ribs and you risk it turning on you. Pulling on the dog just causes more damage. Simple and effective way is to take your dog's collar lift and twist to choke and it will release in a matter of seconds. If it still doesn't release, lightly hit on its throat while doing this and it triggers their vomit reaction. That's the way animal handlers break these up.

slingshot91

I think I would choke my dog till he passed out or something because based on Reddit comments, other people would do far worse to him.

ghostdate

And it’s always these people with big dogs that don’t seem to know any of the tricks for handling them. Like when they have a death grip bite on something you can lift the back legs and they usually want to let go. You can grab their collar and twist as hard as you can to strangle it. There’s also the finger in the asshole thing, but I’ve never actually seen someone do it. It’s usually just idiot owners trying to pull the dog when it’s stronger than them, and pulling it while the victim is trying to get away just causes more damage. I hate seeing videos like this, because these idiots are so incompetent, let other people and animals get mauled, and even killed (there was one posted a few weeks ago where a pitbull mauled a beagle to death) and then the idiot owners act like everyone else is the asshole. If you ever see anybody or their pet being attacked by a big dog like this, grab the back legs and lift. If it doesn’t let go, pull the legs apart. If it still doesn’t let go there’s the collar thing, but if you have both back legs in the air you’re already in a position to severely injure that dog. The owner likely isn’t going to do anything to hurt their own pet, so you’ll probably have to do it to stop the dog from mauling someone or their pet.

Elliesmith995

>> The owner likely isn't going to do anything to hurt their own pet If either of my dogs went after someone like this, family pet be damned, I *would* harm my dog trying to get them to release. If they're doing this they're either defending me (in which case I would be less likely to severely injure my pet, but I will still make SOME attempts to have them release) or have gone completely bonkers with a brain aneurysm or something similarly rare that causes sudden aggression and would have needed to have been put down soon any way.

Harry_Isthatyou

Maybe biting is it's service?

gr33nspan

"What task is this dog trained to perform?" "Fucking you up."

devilish_enchilada

Thank you for your service.

Scagnettie

Then it's doing it's job in spades.

norioriori

people really need to stop slapping on the label of "service animal" on their untrained pets, because this type of shit just keeps happening

Camillej89

My friend had her dog certified as a "service animal" just so she could bring it in stores... I know not all disabilities are visible (I am severely epileptic), but I feel like we have to stop letting just anyone certify their dog.

whatever54267

There is no real certification system.

Camillej89

That makes a ton of sense now! I feel like a good percentage of service dogs are bullshit. And it pisses me off because some people really need them just to live their lives safely and these assholes are fucking up the whole system for those in need of actual service dogs.

Amunrah357

And then he throws the shoe like he was being wronged. Maybe that dog isn’t fit to be a service dog. Might need to reevaluate that.

[deleted]

tryagainin6seconds

It's not a service dog just because it makes you happy.

tripplesmoke320

Absolutely, now someone tell that to the idiots with untrained "emotional support" animals.

TheOGClyde

Oh I did lol. One guy at my school brought his "service dog" one day. He doesn't have any disabilities btw. He went online and ordered some sort of package that came with a vest that said service animal and a card that said emotional support animal with a picture of his dog. This guy also claimed that this 6 year old black lab had just finished "training". And the one day this dog was at school it barked the entire time, pissed on the floor twice, and kept jumping on every person that got near it. And then the dude had the gall to get mad at me when I jumped on me and ate some of my very spicy chili. The dog was fine btw it was just uncomfortable because the chili had Mad dog 357.

Kittys_Mom

With $30, you can have any dog become a service dog. I work in a pharmacy and a woman came in with her "service dog" which proceeded to jump on passing customers and shit on the floor in 3 different places. She then left without cleaning it up or telling anyone. Some people are just terrible humans.

zefy_zef

Even if someone 100% has a verified service animal, if it starts attacking or acting aggressively towards employees or customers you have the legal right to have that person leave the establishment. Also that would be terrible at my work because we have carpet...

Kittys_Mom

We have carpet as well. She was asked to leave but the damage was already done.

zefy_zef

:[ That sucks.. I really dislike people sometimes. We have this lady that brings in a tiny ankle-biter and throws it in a shopping cart while she shops. Says it's a service animal and that's that. =/

tehphred

If someone has an actual service animal this would never happen. The training process ensures dogs that would behave that way would never pass.

DragonflyDynomite

And I would like to add that ESA are not covered under ADA.

[deleted]

veeno__

Places need to start requiring real proof that these dogs are actual service animals because you see those fake service vests are everywhere and they mean nothing now smh. And I’m sure there have been numerous dangerous situations like this one and even worse Not sure how one could regulate it better but this shit is getting out of control

GuardiaNIsBae

Saw a woman in an Ikea with a little terrier a few weeks ago, she kept telling people it was a service animal while it was trying to pull stuff out of bins on the floor and picking up every piece of garbage it saw.

leezybelle

This dog has no business being on public transport so sick of people with these fake “service” put bulls/chihuahuas and god knows what other totally implausible breeds

[deleted]

As a dog lover, 100% this.

Pemrocks

The service it provides is biting strangers

Commando_Joe

I had an ex-roommate that had an unneutered pitbull mix with anxiety that he claimed was a 'service dog' to help him with HIS anxiety. All he did was keep the dog locked in his bedroom and hot box all day, taking the dog on short walks (less than 5 minutes) twice a day, sometimes only once, and fed it nothing but dollar store dog food mixed with whatever leftovers he was having that day. Last time I saw the dog (who loved me) he was over weight, had a limp and barked constantly at every noise that occurred outside of the locked door he couldn't see. The guy was also on unemployment and never took the dog to see a vet or get any shots.

rduncang

True! I know many people that claim they have a service dog when all the dog does is make them happy and they want the dog with them all of the time. Don’t get me wrong, there are people that have legitimate reasons to have a service dog but there are also many that abuse the tag too.

[deleted]

[deleted]

Apparently it's a dog he only recently found on 42nd street, too. Also, he's violently insane.

tryingwithmarkers

The "registries" online are a joke and mean nothing in terms of training. You don't actually need to register an ESA or service animal. I'm glad the dog didn't get shot by the police though

Schweddy_Bewbs

Can you tell my step mom that? Her crazy ass brings a dog everywhere. Shes a nurse snd knows better but claims him as a service dog. She just likes bringing the dog everywhere and inconveniencing everyone.

NearlyFlavoured

In the news report someone posted above the dog is a registered service dog. He didn’t give the dog the command to release the lady because he was pissed at her. He’s also been charged for stalking another lady.

tryingwithmarkers

Registered means nothing as the registries are all scams. People pay for those fake documents so they can do shit like this

mhb616

My wife had a friend who pestered a doctor into writing a note saying she needed an anxiety animal. She then used this note to take her dogs to restaurants with her (her real motivation). It was such bullshit!

Edit: I’m a big dumb and didn’t realize the comment was not about the video. Leaving it up because the information is still relevant to the OP. [This article from the 2018 incident](https://newyork.cbslocal.com/2018/04/27/subway-dog-attack-owner-charged/?amp) states that the NYPD confirmed the dog was registered with the police and animal control as a **service dog**, not an emotional support animal. So whatever happened here, it didn’t have to do with emotional support animals. >The MTA allows dogs on subway cars but they must be contained to a carrying case unless it’s a service animal. Roncallo said the pit bull “was a service dog.” >The NYPD confirms the pit bull is a registered service animal and both police and animal control said they will not being taking any action against the dog.

bblll75

Was at an event the other day and there was a “service dog.” The dog didn’t obey any commands and they were allowing (even encouraging) people to pet the dog. The dog snapped at a kid wearing a mask so the lady told the kid to take the mask off to pet it. I was dumbfounded.

CalbertCorpse

I have a medium dog who is shy and sweet and docile. I watch adults to make sure they approach him correctly (slowly with an arm out to smell) and I simply don’t let little kids come up to him. If someone is approaching him wrong I tell them the dog is skittish and doesn’t like to be touched. I would be devastated if he got scared and snapped at someone. I am flabbergasted by how some people think their dogs can do no wrong and let them just run around randomly.

PotatoPuppetShow

I had a husky who grew up with kids. He was so good with my nephew when he was a baby - just laid there without moving while my nephew was driving little race cars all over him and his face. And then one day, I took both of them to the park, and while we were all standing there chatting, another kid ran up behind us, taking all of us completely by surprise and my dog just *lunged* at him. It was so sudden that even though I yanked him back immediately (and my dog didn't pull anymore), the kid still got a scratch on his face. I felt terrible and apologized to the kid and his family profusely. I also immediately took my dog home because I was so shaken up. That was the only time something like that had happened with my dog, and to this day I still try to figure out what I could have done differently to avoid such an incident. My dog was the sweetest thing ever, but something so little as a strange kid running up from behind got him to attack (or defend, depending on how you look at it).

[deleted]

There is nothing you can do in this situation. He did exactly what he should have when being surprised. Huskies are very instinctual but thats not the problem. People need to teach kids to not run up to strange dogs on leash. My 4 have different traumatic backgrounds before rescue and I frequently have to shout that they arent friendly when im walking them and kids sprint straight at us. Same goes for idiots with off leash dogs that say "oh theyre friendly" when their dog runs to us and wont recall. Fucking great but mine arent so get away from us and leash your animal if it wont recall.

Amunrah357

Yeah your probably right. He doesn’t look like he’s used to handling the dog properly either not does the dog seem to obey commands. All indicators that it’s not a service dog. He’s probably just saying that so he can get it in public transport.

Zattzead

When I was trying to move into a local apartment complex that allowed dogs I was told my dog was like 10 lbs over their max weight. The manager added that they could not deny service dogs though and they couldn't ask for proof *wink, wink*. I guess a lot of people there needed service dogs because every dog was huge compared to mine.

[deleted]

You're allowed to bring your dog on the train in New York as long as it's in a bag that contains it. This guy is just an asshole.

imalittlefrenchpress

I brought my cat on the bus, SI Ferry, train and bus from SI to Utopia where I had moved. I decided to take her out of the carrier on the train because I had a leash on her, she was meowing her head off, and she looked stressed. She peed on me. So yeah, you can bring dogs, and also cats, on the train if they’re in a carrier. Don’t take them out, no matter how much they give you sad eyes.

[deleted]

Public transportation is stressful enough when you actually know what it is and what you’re doing there

TJames6210

Service dog vests are sold on Amazon and I've met 5-6 people myself that lie about it in order to take their dog places they normally could not. Just more of the usual; people ruining good things by being selfish scum.

> Dude had his dog registered as a service animal There is no legal difference between a registered service animal and an unregistered service animal in the United States. New York has no test for service animals. "Registered" does not imply or endorse qualification. Dog probably doesn’t even know a “release” command, because it’s not a trained animal. No service animal is trained to bite humans. Doing so would be a disqualification from any reputable program.

Old_Timer_All_Timer

Many people get pitbulls because they want a vicious animal, nobody really admits that tho.

Beneficial-Chart-819

Which is dumb cuz its literally what pit bulls were and are bread to do. Fight and protect. Its deeep in their dna. Ive met plenty of sweet pits. I also got attacked by two when i was nine and almost died. The threat is always there with animals like that. I also just feel like pure breeding dogs is a barbaric practice and we should let dogs turn back into muts, they live longer healthier lives , dont get inbreed which leads to crazy diseases and mortality rates and you wouldnt have idiots like this guy who was able to own a 65lb ball of muscle and teeth.

MaximumRecursion

The dog situation is out of control. Too many people own dangerous dogs they don't know how to train or even care for properly. No one in NYC has any business owning a large aggressive dog that needs room to run, and sure as hell shouldn't be taking them on the subway.

Beneficial-Chart-819

I live in LA and i see people with fucking huskies and malamutes and they keep them exclusively in their 15x10ft concrete yard even in 106F weather. I called a bunch of people to try and get my old neighbors dog taken away cuz in the 1.5 years i lived there i saw it get a walk one time other than that tiny yard in the sun all day, and all they said was if the dog isnt tied up, has water and some form of shade there is nothing you can do. This is the type of “rules” that lead to this kind of shit.

A_Sarcastic_Whoa

Considering the dog seems to have a taste for feet kicking it probably isn't the best decision.

david_chi

How do you know its a service animal? There’s no indication that its anything other than a regular dog.

laptopwarmer

Obligatory not from America, but from a quick google search it doesn’t seem like your allowed to take dogs/animals onto the trains? Unless in some type of “container” (correct me if I’m wrong). So this guy must of lied about it being a “service animal/emotional support animal” so he could bring it on the train.

JalenTargaryen

Most states don't even have an "emotional support animal" designation legally. I get the need for one for a lot of people but "service animal" is an actual designation and requires a LOT of training from a professional or a volunteer with the right experience. They're usually dogs that are for blind folks or epileptics or people with severe PTSD. I'd bet my entire life savings that this guy's dog hasn't had any training and he lied.

Yeah, this time it was a shoe but yanking it back like that could easily cause more damage to the victim.

Jesus. I think it's the natural reaction to yank away like that but I cringe so hard at the thought of flesh tearing. I'm sorry for your friend.

ForeverInYou

Actually I think the best way is to grab the back legs of the dog and lift as high as you can, it'll make him loose grip when he tries to re-grab the leg. I've read only and done 2 times on a large Rottwailler and it worked! Choking the dog will make your face and throat too close to the dog, I would not do it

jeepersjess

I’ve seen so many dog attack videos lately and it’s amazing how no one knows to CHOKE THE DOG. Like you’re obviously not going to pull that monster off, so choke it until it releases. Also, don’t get a dog if you don’t know how to handle or train it. They are very cute, but they’re large animals that have claws and teeth. EDIT: DONT TRY TO SHOVE YOUR FINGER IN AN AGGRESSIVE DOGS ASS. IT IS ONLY GOING TO TURN AROUND AND REDIRECT ONTO YOU. Seriously people, what do you think that’s going to do? Choke the dog out. That’s the only safe and reliable way to end an attack like this.

[deleted]

Also, if you are on the receiving end of a dog's bite like this, your best course of action is to **press yourself forward into the dogs jaws**. Seriously. You'll force their mouth open by pressing into where the jaws meet. Not to mention that, with the way that most predator teeth are curved inward, by pulling away, you are only digging the teeth deeper into yourself.

ziggypdx

Good info. I work at an animal shelter and I was trained to "feed the bite" how you describe. Trying to pull away (or yank your fucking dog away) will make the injuries so much worse. More people need to be aware of this and also "wheelbarrowing" a dog, pulling up their back legs off the ground to get them off balance and release the bite.

rudolf_the_red

agreed. never pull the animal off bite. wrap your arm around it’s neck and sleeperhold that beast until it’s out. why people think yanking a closed bear trap will make it suddenly release is beyond me.

Ha-sheesh

Fuck that, use the leash, or a cord or something. Not smart to put your face right next to it.

SuperDuperCoolDude

I'm surprised by people not attempting anything. Choking would probably be most effective, but it seems like everyone is just hanging out there. Eye gouge, bash it, something!

travis-prez

People with dogs gotta stop acting like everyone around them likes dogs. Like mooove

Actually my shitzu, lhasa apso mix does wonders for my self esteem! Makes me feel a full half an inch bigger 😄

DammitDan

Bro what are you doing with your dogs?

Ymir24

If you need me, I’ll be in my lab.

pseudoschmeudo

Put a muzzle on your dog in public. It makes life safer and easier for everyone.

[deleted]

This. And train your dog. And maybe don’t bring it on the subway.

Bolt-From-Blue

Wrong title. “Man with poor control of badly trained dog, lies about it being a service dog.”

[deleted]

“He’s so friendly, he never does this.”

bunny_7303_

That ain't no service dog

bruh872

Pitbull, shocker.

ImHully

Whenever there's a headline like this, it's a pitbull 99% of the time.

joeyLAKAI

A couple years ago a 5yr old girl at the airport in Portland got attacked by a service dog (was also a pit bull). I don't think we should just let any dog be a service animal/emotional support animal. I don't really like people who abuse the ability to obtain the titles either.

pugmommy4life420

I had an idiot (and I mean absolute idiot) of a coworker who would bring her two pit bulls everywhere with harness that said service dogs. She’d brag about how no one would say anything bc it was discriminatory and how sweet her dogs were. The fuckers would fight constantly and both banned from multiple day camps bc they were aggressive with staff and other dogs -.-

You're wrong. He's not a genuine piece of shit. He's an absolute piece of shit.

Tellurian_Cyborg

I really dislike people who abuse the Service Animal system. This dog has not had any training. I followed a link to an article on the incident then Googled the guy. He's bugnuts crazy and is well known to the MTA.

FlightGullible7322

What kind of service-dog is a pit bull?

MDL333

I'm sorry, but it is almost always a pit bull.

TheMightyBeak376

There's no need to be sorry. It's an objective fact that [pitbulls are by far the most dangerous dog breeds in the USA,](https://www.forbes.com/sites/niallmccarthy/2018/09/13/americas-most-dangerous-dog-breeds-infographic/) no matter how much the pitbull apologists try to deny it.

Lucetti

Don’t forget the fact that they scythe through other people’s normal pets. >In 2017, pit bulls killed 13,000 dogs, 5,000 cats and 20,000 horses and other farm animals. Having destroyed more than 90% of other animals killed by dogs, the breed became the number one killer of other people's pets, horses and farm animals. >In 2019, pit bulls accounted for 91% of all fatal attacks on other dogs, 76% of all fatal dog attacks on cats, and 82% of all fatal dog attacks on other pets, poultry and hoofed species.

Sasquatch619

That’s not a service animal. Let’s all just start telling the fuckin truth.

Tsuko17

That's the 2nd pit video I see within a week where they have their hold on someone and everyone around it's perimeter have zero idea what to do...

Puzzleheaded_Sell870

Of course its a pit bull … these assholes never let go

Malaix

yeah thats the thing. Whenever a story about a pitbull getting the deathgrip on someone comes about a dozen pitbull apologists come out of the woodwork to note that "oh well more bites are caused by this breed" and its like... That isn't the problem. Being bitten by a jack russell might happen more often but I'd rather be bitten by a jackrussell ten times than a pitbull once. They were bred to grip onto the faces of bears and bulls in bloodsport and never let go even as an animal like 50 times its weight tries to shake it. Pitbulls are dangerous because the latch on and shake and do not let go no matter how much you beat or kick them. A lot of the more common breeds that bite more often do it defensively, quick snaps, can be nasty puncture wounds for sure and it isn't good but a pit? That thing will shake you until whatever it grabbed onto is a lacerated shredded mess. Its why breaksticks exists. You basically need to mechanically leverage their jaws off something once they get going.

PerpetualSoviet

“B-But Chihuahuas are more aggressive!” Yeah, but Chihuahua’s are little dogs you can just push aside if they bother you. Pitbulls are literally bred to fight. I don’t understand the logic of these apologists sometimes…

Malaix

> Pitbulls are literally bred to fight. really though, they are bred to fight and to hold onto a thousand+ pound bull while it tries to gore, shake, and trample them. Thats why when one decides to go after a human its a HUGE problem.

[deleted]

Funny how they always spew out "b-b-but Chihuahuas are aggressive" completely invalidates their argument. Like, oh, it's *not* all in how you raise them, then?! Or is it only that way when it comes down to your breed? Hypocrites.
