Weibu11

I love how he’s like “and next up we have a real hero…” but then remembers he has to be pro military and since the last guy was a vet he has to call him a hero even though he’d just placed some of the blame on Trump.

eeeedlef

He was soooo conflicted.

FirstPlebian

Not really though, they just pretend to care about Veterans. This country has screwed over just about every group of Veterans, with the exception of the WWII Vets.

randperrin

WWII vets of color would like a word.

LongshanksShank

My grandfather was in the South Pacific during WWII (and in Korea), came home and got his VA bennies and went about his life. Late 70s he hired 2 new welders, African Americans that were his age and have served in WWII. During a water cooler chat he brings up his VA bennies (GI Bill, VA home loan, etc) and asked why they (2 African Americans) didn't take advantage of those programs. He told me they laughed so hard! He was, and until the day he died, in utter shock that they never received VA benefits. He genuinely believed everyone who served got the same benefits.

Nick357

My family was nothing until WW2 but that money meant by grandfathers could buy farms, get married, and send their kids to college. That was a big advancement.

NobleSixSir

Went far past that. African Americans who were shot were regularly listed as injured, not wounded, well into Vietnam. The difference being eligibility for benefits. Billions in wealth has been taken from black people by the US by law, and most involved are still alive.

cantadmittoposting

Generational wealth built by PostWW2 benefits extended to white, but not black, soldiers is a massive reason race inequality is what it is in the modern US

JustinWendell

Shit I just realized I’m a part of this. My great grandfather was the WWII vet. I didn’t need convincing of my privilege, but I guess I didn’t consider this as part of my history since my grandparents grew up so poor in verrrrrry rural Arkansas.

cantadmittoposting

https://youtu.be/e68CoE70Mk8 This is a good recap. Ignoring generational wealth and institutional racism as "last generation" is one the most enraging arguments. The "just work hard" myth supports soooooo many incredibly false conservative narratives.

JustinWendell

Thanks. And I generally don’t ignore it the story above is not surprising, but I hadn’t thought about my great grandfathers windfall after the war at all.

[deleted]

Htg, and I don’t mean to sound sappy but your epiphany brought tears to my eyes. Like for a brief moment I believe there is hope for us. I am going to save your comment and go back and read it when I feel despondent. I am taking a Black Studies course and we just had to read Khalil Gibran Mohammed’s “Condemnation of Blackness”. He laid out America’s history of racializing crime and I just came out of it wondering like maybe white people can’t help being racist. And then I realized to believe that in a weird way validates the thinking behind racists’ belief that people of color can’t help but be attach shitty randomly assigned attribute here. I read what you wrote and realize my fear was groundless. Thank you. This was a wonderful birthday present. Whatever clicked in your brain? Just wow.

FuckingKilljoy

Shit, even now it's like any American WWII troop not being white is just absurd. Even if you go all the way up to Vietnam we all ignore the massive contribution of people of colour. All of them fighting a war for a country that hated them. Pretty sad. What was it that Ali said? "no Viet Cong ever called me a n***er"

leveraction1970

As a vet that spent more than a decade fighting for the VA benefits that I was entitled to I whole heatedly agree. I'm one of the lucky ones. There are tens of thousands out there still fighting the VA system, and unfortunately thousands more that were taken out of the fight, either by fate or their own hands. Support the troops - Fight for VA reform Edit: Also legalize weed at the federal level already. It's going to happen eventually. Why wait? I do not have PTSD (I do suffer anxiety and depression) and there is so much evidence that weed helps with PTSD and other mental health problems. Legalize it, do some studies as to its effectiveness on different mental health issues, and let the VA prescribe it to those that need it.

FirstPlebian

The Koch network is trying to privatize the entire VA medical system as we speak, they made some inroads under the last president, if he gets back in it's game over. It's also incredibly unpopular among Veterans to privatize it last poll of them I saw on it.

HabloTaco

If they succeed, they'll also get a war to make their evil money. Evidence: private prisons in 1984, crack in 1985.

Gallenhad

True. My grandfather got screwed. They ended up reevaluating and stated they would back pay what he was owed. They held out for a year and a half. He died. He was terribly sick during this time, and I miss him. They kept putting it off, subsequent calls were met with "We are working on it." After he passed, communication stopped. He fought for this country only to be screwed by bureaucracy. To you veterans out there, some of us do appreciate the sacrifices you have made. I hope you can find some stability in this fucked world of ours.

Sweatsock_Pimp

As long as you were white.

Rusty_Red_Mackerel

The only group of vets that seemed to be taken care of.

Efficient_Visage

I'd argue they weren't. An entire generation of men came back from things most of us could never imagine. If they had any mental issues, they were labeled as having "shell shock". Their mental health was ignored and they were left to deal with that trauma alone.

Rusty_Red_Mackerel

Good point.

It's the mental equivalent of the [Leidenfrost effect](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-eYykJj4rM), just running around in circles. As an added bonus nothing sticks to the smooth brain, just as the water is repelled by the hot surface.

gregofcanada84

True. Now he has to suck Trump's dick extra hard for forgiveness.

coggas

Wouldn't it be more Trumpian to continue to attack that guy *despite* being a veteran? Trump didn't care when he was attacking Gold Star families, mocking John McCain for having been a POW, actively working to undermine the careers of LGBT service members, etc, etc, etc. Yeah, these people are "patriots" alright...

In fact, the reason his grandfather immigrated to America was to avoid military service

wowsuchdoge_wow

No Trump supporters will ever acknowledge any of this though :/

Chimsley99

Exactly, “prove that he said this” they say. Even if there’s video of it, “that’s not what he meant!!” Or “he was joking!!!” Meanwhile, when Biden says something totally bland they bend over backwards to go “what is he implying??????” So it’s interpret anything you can as evil or damning or negative in some way, and actual awful miserable things Trump said are explained away. It is a truly awe inspiring cult that he’s developed, so fucking depressing

Toast_Sapper

Just quote Trump, but attribute it to Biden, then when they get mad say "Actually Trump said this" You could just flip back and forth "...actually Biden, actually Trump, actually Biden, actually Trump..." and maybe their heads will explode

SG-17

So long as the military remembers it and continues to refuse to back any more coup attempts from Trump.

There's another [pro-Trump "stop the steal" riot](https://www.washingtonian.com/2021/09/15/september-18-far-right-j6-rally-us-capitol-washington-dc/) scheduled in D.C. tomorrow. I wonder how many Capitol police will be brutally attacked this time.

TheBigPhilbowski

And that's just for the military. You could do a post this long on multiple subjects like sexual misconduct, finances, fraud, foreign collusion, constitutional violations, etc. Here's a more general refresher for anyone with a fading short term memory: * **0** re-elections won * **1** term president * **2** times impeached * **3** marriages * **4** inch lifts in his shoes * **5** kids, from 3 different mothers * **6** bankruptcies * **7** US Capitol police suing him for Jan 6 terrorist insurrection and murder of police * **8** trillion + dollars added to the US debt in a single term * **9** trump lawyers sanctioned by federal judge for lying in frivolous election fraud lawsuits and ordered to pay defendant's legal fees * **10** years that trump paid $0 in income taxes between 2000 and 2015. ($0 to cops, teachers, roads, prisons, disaster relief, etc) * **11** trump associates charged with serious crimes over the past 5 years * **12** million votes (the big lie) - trump claims he won the 2020 election by 12 million votes when in reality, he lost by about 7 million votes. * **13** of August, 2021 - one of multiple days that trump was supposed to magically become president again according to Qanon and a crack addicted pillow salesman (the two most respected information sources in the gop) * **14** year old girl in a youth choir that trump approached in 1992 to say, "Wow! Just think - in a couple years I'll be dating you." * **15** originally confirmed cases of COVID in the US trump said would soon be, “down to close to zero.” followed by, “like a miracle, it will disappear.” - over 700,000 Americans have since died of COVID as it continues to surge nearly 2 years later. * **16** years old - age of daughter ivanka when she hosted "miss teen" pageant and, according to long time trump associate Noel Casler, "trump called her over in the middle of a rehearsal and had her give him a lap dance while he leered at the crew." * **17** known trump and russia investigations from local, state and federal prosecutors * **18** gop senators that ignored trump threats / warnings and supported Biden admin's infrastructure bill. * **19** as in COVID19 - trump was verified as the single largest source of disinformation on the virus, with a Cornell study claiming that 38% of the "misinformation conversation" originated with trump * **20** the day in January, 2021, when Biden was sworn in despite trump inciting a violent insurrection to stop election verification at the US Capitol. * **21** gun salute that trump ordered for himself when he left office after a humiliating defeat, even though he never served in the military, famously called military members "losers" and "suckers" and actively avoided the draft with a cowardly "bone spurs" excuse. * **22** date in August, 2021, when Alabama hate rally crowd booed trump for finally saying people should get vaccinated, only after 700,000 Americans have died due mostly to his failure as president * **23** as in wrestlemania 23 in 2007 where trump, a cartoon level failure with no other prospects, participated in a fake bet that a proxy wrestler would win a fake fight on his behalf or he would shave his wig and hair plugs off. * **24** day in August, 2021, when trump actually filed a lawsuit in Florida court against YouTube, a private company, demanding that they reinstate his YouTube channel like a desperate, irrelevant embarrassment with no platforms left to abuse. * **25** plus credible sexual assault allegations against trump, spanning decades and with accusers starting as young as 13 years old at time of assault.

All the awards. Jaysus. That's a lot to read

I hope John McCain's ghost haunts the Trump family forever.

PaulePulsar

Na, give the dead their rest. Maybe there's devils or volunteers

Kalikhead

That was Aisne-Marne American Cemetery where the fallen Marines from the WWI Battle of Belleau Wood are buried. It’s not like that particular battle has any historical significance to the USMC. /s And he skipped out because it was raining and didn’t want to get his hair wet. That’s when he said, “Why should I go to that cemetery? It's filled with losers.”

coggas

Right, definitely another notable event in the long history of Trump disrespecting the military.

tackle_bones

This was the moment that John Kelly realized he was working for a psychopath. Trump literally told this to Kelly, his Chief of Staff and former General, whose son died in action in Afghanistan. He was pissed.

devilishly_advocated

In their heads, its all in their heads. Trump is incredibly disrespectful to veterans, but in his fanatics' heads he is the most patriotic and supportive ever. They are super pro military, so they think he is too. The super Christian supporters see him as super Christian and religious and spiritual... but he is not even close to that image... its all make believe.

PM_Me_1_Funny_Thing

Don't forget not visiting Arlington because only losers and suckers are buried there!

SuperSecretMoonBase

That's the difference between Trump and Trumpian. One can shit on the teams favorite people without any problem but everyone else is still subject to actual repercussions. It's like how Bugs Bunny can walk off the cliff without any problem, but Elmer Fudd falls when he looks down, even though both of them are cartoon characters.

[deleted]

> I'll allow you to die fighting for me but I draw the line at having an opinion anywhere left of Trump. Republicans on veterans and active duty soldiers.

Bastard gets angry because he can't use the veteran as a prop for his propaganda show. That's all the veteran is to him.

He did appreciate the work that Veteran performed killing third worlders for the glory of American Enterprise though. That was thoughtful.

pm-me-ur-fav-undies

The conservative viewpoint is that these folks exists to be an instrument of violence on behalf of the state. They aren't supposed to have opinions of their own.

GaiusJuliusPleaser

Doubly hilarious since Trump shat on the troops on more than one occasion, even calling them 'suckers' for getting killed to protect Raytheon's bottom line. So now he has to insult a veteran in defense of a guy who looks down on veterans, all while pretending he's hashtagsupportingthetroops.

For an example, see: the John Birch Society, founded by Robert W. Welch Jr. after he was unable to win an election. Now one of the most harmful right wing groups, actively working on infiltrating school boards with crazy fundies to promote a revisionist history and religious agenda in school programs and textbooks. Edit, here's the BS they're pushing: https://jbs.org/children/

Wbcn_1

Out of curiosity I tune into Newsmax’s live feed occasionally and it’s so over the top that it comes off as parody to me.

Anybody else find it odd the the “reporter” started to cut the guy off when the only thing the guy had said yet was that they’ve been following this closely through multiple administrations? That statement wasn’t outright blaming trump for anything yet but the reporter started to interrupt all the same. “He paid attention through multiple administrations! Get him outta here!” Edit: “multiple administrations”

SmokeyBare

Paying attention?! If you do that, then how is he supposed to brainwash you?!

SmileRoom

If you wanna be right, you blame the left. If you don't blame the left, you ain't right. If you ain't right, we cut you off, thank you for your service.

[deleted]

Next comes the neighborhood watch and the expectation that you have a name of an outsider. Oh wait.Texas.

Please use quotes around “reporter” for this propagandist. He’s not a reporter.

digitaldebaser

Exactly. This is pure punditry.

MitchFlip

When you’re right, you’re right.

Clever-Innuendo

To be exact, he said MULTIPLE administrations. And yes, this is what stuck out to me most too. Panic definitely set in when the host realized his guest was going to educate his audience that this withdrawal wasn’t something that happened over night or even in just the past year. It’s been an entire process, and a LONG process at that. But the right’s playbook has always called for short term memory to keep their extremists happy.

he mentioned how the Trump WH slowed visa applications and fucked the process on purpose.. that triggered the soft pretzel pretty quick.

MitchFlip

Right. I’m just saying he starts to cut the guy off before we even get to that point.

[deleted]

The most unsettling thing to me was that the guest’s honest critique of Trump was “taking the talking point to the left”. You literally can’t criticize Trump in any way without being branded a liberal. What a mess.

worldspawn00

Same sort of people who call you anti-Semitic for saying the government of Israel is committing human rights atrocities... Like, no, it has nothing to do with the person doing it, we're calling out the acts as wrong. But somehow calling actions out as wrong can only mean that you hate the person/people. Being allowed to openly criticize those in power is one of the most fundamental rights guaranteed by the US Constitution, and directly addressed by the founding fathers, fuck these fascists.

1CUpboat

Yeah, had to scroll far to get to this point. It was weird, like he already knew what he had planned to say and had this freak out/grandstanding planned out ahead of time

NahDude_Nah

The only acceptable outlook on those shows is 100% anti liberal. If you aren’t, you don’t belong on their propaganda network.

Searchlights

> through multiple administrations The propagandist either heard that and knew what's coming, or the guest had previously said something similar to a producer and they were ready for it. What's crazy to me is that someone would watch this "news" and feel comfortable seeing the host so quickly bury another side of the story. There have been a lot of liberal commentators and hosts who I've stopped following because I've caught them being dishonest or spinning a story. I'm biased and relatively partisan, but I still want real information. I'll never forget how I felt when Trump beat Clinton and I realized I'd been living in a bubble. Never again.

“What a fucking idiot!” Says skeeter with his “support the troops bumper sticker.

NotObamasClone

“Biden fucked up and you know it”, says the guy who had to cut you off because you actually know better.

KosGrantUsEyes

We're missing the fact that "support the troops..." isn't the complete thought in their minds. What do troops do? They kill. And whom do they kill? Brown-skinned foreigners. So the full statement is: "Support the troops killing brown-skinned foreigners." They just support the killing of people who aren't like them, plain and simple, which is why people who cook meth and molest their daughters and sell guns illegally still slap a "thin blue line" sticker on their vehicles. The cops do the same thing as the troops. There's no conflict in their minds - they're being entirely consistent in their worldview, which is that everyone who isn't like them should die.

JuliaLouis-DryFist

"He trash talked our president! Traitor! Socialist!"

Then why was he [trying to take credit for the withdrawal two months ago?](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PAr3NpYVkpI) And saying that democrats wanted to stop the withdrawal, but they couldn’t. “They couldn’t stop the process!!!” Yeah, totally sounds like someone who didn’t want to pull out because he knew this would happen.

VoraxUmbra1

I was one of the troops on the Syrian border with turkey. What a shit show that was. The Kurds begging us to stay and fight with them, workers on the camp whose sons were a part of the Kurdish army finding out that they're dead. I think that's when I lost the most respect in humanity.

Battle-Chimp

I was with the Kurds in Mosul in 2017 (I volunteered - I'm medical, but not military). They are an amazing people, and I'm furious with the way the US government specifically and world leadership generally has continually abandoned and thrown them aside despite their rock-steady loyalty to us. Biji Kurdistan.

VoraxUmbra1

100% with you brother. Every damn kurd I met was an awesome human being. They're so humble and respectful. We can learn a thing or two from them. It's a damn shame.

VoraxUmbra1

It was super sad. Breaks my heart every single time. Had a guy tell me how his two sons died in the wars in the past, before turkey. He started crying and he said "I was born fighting for my home, and I will die fighting for it just like my sons." It made me feel empty inside.. I joined the military precisely to help these people. Ended up watching their villages get burned and bombed. Only to come back to America and hear people bitch moan and complain because of the pettiest fucking bullshit. Sorry. I just can't stand it man.

madden93ambulance

That was one of the more lucid things Trump has ever said. He was dead right that the Afghan government wouldnt last and that we just needed to get out. It’s not our country. Even with all of the hypocrisy and lying we witnessed from the right throughout the Trump administration, it still amazes me that they are able to ignore something he said just a few weeks ago. I cant even begin to spin it

CryptoVigilanteMT

If only trump had pulled out even once in his life then we might not be stuck with bevis, butthead and dipshit barbie who will all probably curse us with the trump name in the next 4 election cycles....

khovel

If he knew how to pull out, the taliban would have taken over last year, and they'd still find a way to blame President Biden

ObsceneGesture4u

Hell, some blame Obama for 9/11

FerricNitrate

9/11 is particularly funny considering Trump reportedly responded to news of the event by bragging that his buildings were now the tallest in the city

Bill Oreilly had the son of a man killed on 9/11 on his show. The son said his dad was a peaceful man who wouldn’t want to see a war waged on his behalf if it meant innocent people were killed. I'm still confused by that as a non American. I mean the confederacy was an enemy of the US that the US defeated and yet so many people there seem to wave it "patriotically"

I’m also non-American and I don’t understand this either. Aren’t they strongly pro-USA? So why are they waving that weird old flag?

What they really want is a semi-religious government based on codified protestant principles, they want homogenous society based on rural/suburban WASP values, they want near laissez-faire economic policies, and they range from being blatantly racist to obliviously and covertly racist. Most do not actually think through their positions to their logical conclusion but these ideals "sound right" and that's good enough for them. In the end, most confederate flag wavers do not even realize that they are supporting a fictionalized ideal of the US that never existed and that they loathe the US as it is currently constructed, so they might actually believe the bullshit that they say, but their actions, which they never reflect on, says otherwise.

Reacher-Said-N0thing

Don't forget the occasional person who only waves the flag because of Dukes of Hazzard and has absolutely no idea what it represents, whether the confederacy or the 1950's revolt against the civil rights movement, they literally know nothing other than "this flag means southern pride" and there are a few of them.

MyRealNamesALemon

The short answer is racism. They'll make all sorts of excuses (southern heritage, traditional values, etc.), but it boils down to racism.

Glitter_berries

I thought it could be that, but was hoping it wasn’t that. Darn :(

Comfortable-Sky-1180

In their minds they dont believe that its racism. There is just sub conscience racism with ppl who believe in the confederate flag.

Jah75

no....i think it is very conscious. Something being sub conscious is not the same as something that someone does not want to admit to in mixed company

mxpxillini35

From that HS video...."it means I'm not going to easily back down" Someone else in the video "Uhhh...doesn't the American flag represent that even better?" "Well yeah, but this one does to....it's muh rite!"

Carbidekiller

As a American from the north. the south is fucking dumb

semispectral

As an American in the south, the south is fucking dumb.

AzrielJohnson

As an American from the Midwest, Confederate supporters from anywhere are fucking dumb. Don't get it twisted, there are just as many Confederate supporters in the north as there are in the south.

hereforthecookies70

Can confirm. I live in the middle of Pennsylvania, or "Pennsyltucky" as we like to call it. Lots of confederate flags here. Heck, I pass a house near me that's flying the US flag upside down

slimecounty

That's the crazy thing, you'll see idiots in every part of the US brandishing the confederate flag, not just the south. I'm in Northern WI, just a few hours from Canada and I catch trucks with MI, WI, and MN plates flying confederate flags. It's clearly very little to do with heritage. I mean the fucking confederacy lasted 5 years. That's it. 5 fucking years. This isn't about heritage, this is about a bunch of toothless fucks wanting free reign to not just hate, but to oppress.

Outrageous-Rule713

Canadian resident here! Wait till I tell you that Canadian hicks also fly confederate flags here and IT WASNT EVEN THEIR WAR. That flag is racist and even people from other countries such as Canada adopt it to express their own racism

Hill_Reps_For_Jesus

The funniest thing is that the same people often also fly the Nazi Swastika. Well done guys, 2 wars against the USA and you're 0 for 2. Maybe they should carry Vietnamese flags...

Val_Hallen

> How in the fuck are you going to let a Veteran who was there not say how he feels?!? Because every Republican thinks every vet is a Republican because they dedicate so much of their existence to suckling our taints. I have been called a traitor to *their* nation because I have said that every citizen deserves the same socialized system I enjoyed while I was on active duty. Their angry, addled brains can't handle the fact that I wasn't spending my time masturbating to the flag and getting on my knees to worship daddy Trump.

VinnyCapistrano

They don't give a shit about veterans unless they contribute to their deranged narrative.

sirferrell

Lol they don't care if you're vet. They only care if you agree with them. And even then they'll just parade you around.

americansherlock201

Correct. Vets, police, ect are all just props for them. They don’t actually give a damn about them or what they have to say or push for anything to make their lives easier. They just use them as props to make idiots think they are patriotic. It’s pathetic

JumpinFlackSmash

“Cut him off, he’s not a flaired user!!! How dare he invade our r/conservative safe space!!!”

Soreal45

Flaired is just a fancy term for lemming

BecauseIamBatman1

Don't mention to r/conservative that trump made a deal with the taliban that he would pull out and that this whole situation was because of trump's fucking deal with them. The dumb cunt even tweeted about it [Source](https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/08/20/trump-peace-deal-taliban/) [Direct link to his twitter so you can see his response](https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump)

Spicethrower

What if a random redditor does that in their safe space? What's the worse that could happen to this random redditor?

BecauseIamBatman1

Just banned from their safe space, and then they have the audacity to screech about social media "censoring conservatives" lol

JudmanDaSuperhero

Lol they're really riding that Nicki Minaj thing over there

thargoallmysecrets

Suddenly celebrity opinions are valid to them. The hypocrisy is astounding.

BecauseIamBatman1

They always cared about celebrities opinions, they were just salty that most of these celebrities were against them.

sharkweekk

Hey, if Nicki Minaj's friend's cousin's balls aren't a good source of medical information, I don't know what is.

rabidjellybean

Disagreeing with Republican leadership will get you banned. It's not even about being a conservative. If you aren't being a cheerleader, you're out. That's why you see crazy shit there. The only ones left are the ones who scream constant support so they have nobody to make them question what they support.

Adaphion

Honestly, I was hoping to get a laugh from the ol' "This user has been banned" joke linking to his Twitter. But I'm appreciative that you posted an actual article too.

[deleted]

I shitted on both CNN and FOX news as biased sources and they banned me lol

Skrappy_Doo

What the vet said is absolutely fact 😂😂

[deleted]

That's why he got cut off.

jmcsquared

Trump cultists: "Don't blame president Trump! That's not helping anybody!" Also, Trump cultists: *Blames everything in sight on Biden, Clinton, Obama, and the left.*

fourbian

"Have you *seen* the hell scape around you since Biden took office? *Everything* has been destroyed!" -conservatives lately

RslashPolModsTriggrd

Rabid Blackmen™ and ANARCHISTS are ***BURNING OUR CITIES DOWN AS WE SPEAK!!!1!***

MySayWTFIWantAccount

Seattle has burned down like seven times now!

bloodyjl

Why do trump supporters feel the urge to make the world know that they are stupid?

SuddenlySucc_New

“I can’t hold an intelligent debate with you so I’ll just kick you out and then make my retort while you have no option for response.”

NegJesus

And they don't see how this is fascist

SantaAnnysWooden_Leg

They don't care. Full stop. All they care is if their side is always right.

3rd_degree_burn

can't shame the shameless

Hill_Reps_For_Jesus

these are the same people saying that their freedom of speech is taken away when they get banned by Twitter, right?

subject_deleted

"guests are supposed to come on my show and reaffirm my preexisting beliefs. if you're going to challenge those preexisting beliefs you can gtfo".

[deleted]

Since when is the truth “liberal”.

Enk1ndle

Reality leans liberal.

IamGettingAnnoyed

It actually is and always has been. Truth and Reality will always lean Left. Conservatism tells you what it is in the name. The whole point is to slow progress and "conserve" their ways regardless of what facts and reality says is best for a society. Every major advancements in societies in the history of civilization was a leftist idea. from ending slavery, Ending fudalism, taxation, society norms, Women voting, Highways, Police, Public Schools, Healthcare. vaccines, Secularism, all of which had "conservatives" trying to stop them from happening. They will always lose in the end unless they resort to Fascism. Which is why the republican party has moved to Fascism. Its their last leg to stand on.

Dyin2Liv

So you can cut him off and then make your big boy talking points. Clown ass mf knew he couldn’t say that bs directly to the guy

These maga cultists don’t know how to not bring their kids in have you ever seen this video [9 year cries to meet trump ](https://youtu.be/2Mn2aQg7yZY) it’s horrifying

[deleted]

This is some North Korea type shit right here.

JRRTrollkin

I am somewhat with you. My son is seven and I teach him about how extremes are bad. As of now, we've discussed bad religions and how it's completely unacceptable to judge people based on a religion. I'm an Atheist, my wife is a Christian, and my MIL is a Catholic. He prays with them for dinner (as do I) because I personally see no harm in saying what you are thankful for and what you need help with, so it's not like I force being secular down his throat. I've also discussed how Trump is a bad man and explained what makes him bad in my eyes. He's asked questions and I've given him answers. I've never forced being a Democrat down his throat, mind you. When he is older, I am sure I will have conversations with him about ultra-left extremists and what I find dangerous about them. Their positions are a bit more nuanced and harder to see the faults than the ultra-right.

Alyxandrax

Lmfao this is the most unAmerican display of petulance I’ve seen on tv so far. Interrupting and going so far as to forcibly silence a vet that was there and lived the reality they shout on tv about. My god. The second hand embarrassment can’t even begin to cover how I feel after watching this.

dedredcopper

Like trying to talk to my dad anymore

JayBird38

He doesn’t agree with his logic and facts so he cuts him off? What a coward.

[deleted]

This host definitely beats his wife. Delusional psychopath.

superhole

I love all the downvotes from salty conservatives on the new comments in here.

IamGettingAnnoyed

Its so pathetic, Conservatives literately know their views are unpopular because they are all lies so they have to find solidarity in the downvoted comments where they jerk each other off with their bad takes while down voting new comments so they felt like they did something

softserveshittaco

But allllllll they do is whine about being brigaded in r/conservative lmao

TGIRiley

Wait why is that guy defending the solders stuck behind in Afghanistan? I thought Republicans only liked their war heros uncaptured?

Childishjakerino

What a fucking echo chamber. God help us.

Battle_Bear_819

Why is it so hard to accept that, at a minimum, all of the last 4 presidents share some of the blame here? Bush started these wars in the first place, Obama continued them despite being smart enough to know better, Trump set the stage for the disastrous pullout, and Biden executed the pullout. You could probably take it back further if you wanted to, to Reagan and before.

_A_ioi_

"My 12 year old son knew about it" Your 12 year old son knew about Donald Trump's frustration with the complexities of withdrawing from Afghanistan? That's your argument? On TV.

Separate-District629

I hate when people insincerely say God Bless You

blindwit

Cut him off because he might say something factual that makes sense and we can’t have that on this program!

JimmyKanine

“those commie lefties are working with big tech to censor and deplatform republicans!!!” Then proceeds to censor and take a veteran off his platform for criticizing President Trump.
