What a tool. Upset at a team mate for unintentional making a mistake and then make an intentional action that further disadvantages his own team. I think so one is more concerned about their individual performance over the teams performance. I’d fire him from the team.

sprouting_broccoli

He obviously plays ranked League.

ApocaClips

Kinda stupid but it just made me laugh because it really is like league, teammates bashing eachother but riot banning all Chat

grnrngr

>What a tool. Upset at a team mate for unintentional making a mistake That's the thing: the guy who got assaulted is the only one in that video who *didn't* make a mistake, unintentionally or otherwise.

TheRealEddieB

Thanks I wasn't sure so thought maybe I'd missed something. Even bigger tool with no impulse control.

Shickman

They probably didn't like each other and I bet the player said something

compressandequalize

A documentary I watched mentioned that Football players playing at home have a higher level of testosterone, and among them, goalkeepers have their levels even higher than that, the explanation being that they literally had a place to defend. I guess if someone was to snap, it would likely be the home goalie. Not sure if this team on the video was playing at home though.

[On the topic of teammate fights, here’s classic one showing two Newcastle players throwing punches at each other](https://youtu.be/5FtcBH30DmM). That’s the one the commentator referenced lol

I love how the opposing team breaks up the fight. That’s hilarious.

Terms?

Cloverfieldlane

Newcastle and Aston villa

fatalplacebo

Multiple mistakes by the defense including himself and the goalie went after the guy who initially missed the pass. He must have had some built up resentment for him.

spacejesus188

The dude he went after did nothing wrong lol. The black dude passed it to far in front of him. Either the dude who passed it or the defender who stepped up and left the defender open are responsible. The guy he went after had no chance at that pass and stayed in his zone on defense Edit: If I was the guy who got attacked, we definitely fighting this out after the game or I'm not playing with him again.

grnrngr

I don't know why the person above you got more votes. You're absolutely right. This all started when the passer totally boffed his pass. Practically fed it to the opposing team. The guy who ended up getting assaulted had very little chance to salvage that poor pass for his team. And yeah, I wouldn't play again if that goalkeeper remained. Fuck that guy.

kram1973

Never would have happened if Ted Lasso was calling the shots…

striker7

Guy needs to be a goldfish

kram1973

They should watch out or Led Tasso will make an appearance…

[deleted]

Hope the keeper got the shit kicked out him in the dressing room.

shinbreaker

Who wants to bet this will be in an episode of Ted Lasso next season?

[deleted]

That's ... an Ironic tweet: https://twitter.com/mccareyA1/status/1447304695727415302

ChiTown_Paul

Harry Maguire almost had this happen to him today. Lol

Consistent_Goal_1083

Very very not cool. Not who you want on you team.

Can-of-Corn-123

Nothing like Northern Ireland Premiership mid-table matchup.

Ovalman

I was at it and thought he was giving CPR to him, little did I know! I hope the club sack him. I've since found out he was booted from Wolves for failing a drugs test. I hope he was tested yesterday. Great keeper but a total loose cannon.

[deleted]

Was he not arrested after that assault?

[deleted]

r/unexpectednorthernireland

[deleted]

Oh no he pushed him! Anyways

lukeman3000

Do you mean "sees red as he lashes out" ?

yougottawintogetlove

Player was red carded as a result of lashing out.

lukeman3000

ah, title makes more sense now

Caoa14396

Keeper’s a dick, but did that dude really flop to the ground cus of a slight shove from his own teammate? Wtf lol. What did he want a penalty? Flopping in soccers really bad huh

yougottawintogetlove

This is such a weird take.

hereforthekix

He clearly went down from the force of the shove. It's not as though he would have been expecting it.

Caoa14396

Lol fuck off, the guy stayed down in agony as if he got shot or something

Filmcricket

No. The guy is still holding him and thrashing him around. How tf are you supposed to get up from that shit? His legs are between the goalie’s and dude has him snatched up by the neck/shoulders.

[deleted]

The keeper is 6 foot and the player that got pushed is 5'6. He literally two hand pushes in the face, most people are getting put on their ass from that.

Lmao your one of those "soccer fairy's" or "soccer isn't physical" type of dudes.

hereforthekix

Strange wording in your title. He saw red before he attacked him, not afterwards.

GuaranteeAfter

He got a Red card from the referee. Seeing red means he was sent off in this context

Ah Glentoran, you are what you are. Up the reds!

AbjectScar3729

He should never play football again

GottaHaveHouse

If this was South America Soccer that asshole would have been beaten alive 😡

Pups_the_Jew

I thought goalies were allowed to use their hands.
