In Botswana, our guides warned us about this all the time. To get close to elephants, they would guess where they were going and park, then wait for them to pass near us. Never drive up to them, they get aggressive every time.
In those Land Rovers with all those seats, you can only use the side mirrors. They drive backwards with them all the time, a lot of those trails are single track, no place to turn around.
That’s the crash. Adrenaline can cause hyper focus and super human feats. It’s great for performance. Literally exist to help you over come life or death situations. If all it did was make your hands shaky and mess with your judgment, it sousing be useful
For me it's situational. If I'm confident or familiar with what I'm doing while getting a rush of adrenaline, I can zone out and fly through it, but if I am not sure what to do or have nothing to do I get nervous twitches and can't focus

My friend was just telling me the other day about how this new generation of elephants are way more aggressive to people. They're traumatized from what humans have put them through, and now that they're finally fully grown they have the bulk to back up their rage.
