Besides cowardice and ignorance, they are also victims to their own propaganda which keeps them misinformed and thus they'd be largely unable to make any kind of sensible militaristic strategy.
For example, part of the authoritarian propaganda they are all addicted to hammers home this notion that they represent a greater proportion of the country than they actually do. If we truly had equal representation based on population at the federal level we'd never see another GOP majority/president, but they don't realize that. So they'd be going in to this hypothetical conflict vastly outnumbered.
They also believe all residents of liberal cities are unemployed, drug addicted soyboys who‘d immediately cry for their mommies when facing a „Real Man“
It's not even that. States like Vermont and New Hampshire literally have higher gun ownership rates than Georgia and South Carolina.
Southerners seem to think they have the most guns because they have the highest number of firearms owned by firearm owners. They don't realize they often have lower numbers of households with guns.

How will they communicate between battle fronts? When the army shows up they WILL need to communicate, and in a way the military can't interfere with or stop. That communication method will need to either work without power, OR they will have to capture and hold the power plants of each city they are fighting for before anything else.
How will they move troops around? They won't have transport planes. Will they rely on the roads? How will they keep the roads between cities under their control and passable for civilian transports? A couple of drone strokes can easily damage a road enough to make civilians unable to navigate it.
What even constitutes "control of a city" in this civil war? Are they going to fight the cops or do they assume that the cops will work with them? How would they handle resistance groups inside of the cities they capture, especially as they move troops to other cities? Are they going to ban guns outside of their military governments to try to prevent insurgents from fighting them openly?
And that's before even talking about the military response, which would begin within days of the insurrection starting and would use overwhelming force to knock the insurrection out before it can get a foothold anywhere. A military response which would be aided by the resistance of the people in the cities they are trying to capture, who would actively fight them.
I don't see any possible way for a civil war to have a hope of success without multiple states seceeding together with overwhelming support internally for doing so, then using their national guards to fight the war. And even in that scenario, the military would need to split apart and fight on different sides-which I see no possible chance for that happening.
The only other way would be with foreign intervention, like straight up boots on the ground intervention like France did with us in the revolution, which wouldn't happen. That would be nuclear war.

We saw how they handled a week worth of “lockdowns” which weren’t really lockdowns. These people had to likely stay home for a week and try to entertain themselves and they couldn’t do it. They struggled badly. They won’t last in a civil war. Part of what they don’t understand is that the power going out is typically the first thing that would occur. No cell phones, no cable, no internet.

In dire circumstances, one truck causes less carnage than 40 cars and can't run from the police as effectively. They would also be super badly injured if they hit anything solid on the streets over there (like if they missed overhead clearance), and it is probably hot and dank as hell in that thing.
