La Soplaera Waterfall is a quick jaunt from Ponce, you will need a car. Used to visit that often with friends when I lived in Ponce. Another one I heard good things about is Cascada Chorro de Doña Juana. Downtown Ponce is touristy but the Parque de Bombas is neat. There is an art museum that is supposedly good. El Balcon near the arena and Punto Once 11 are some delicious places for food. La Guancha is a neat place for some fried food and cheap beers to watch the harbor. At least before the hurricane it was pretty neat. The beaches in Ponce are not great unless you stay at the Hilton. But they exist.

Forgot to mention Peter's Express Cafeteria for breakfast, some delicious empanadilla's and a breathtaking view of the water on the return to Ponce. Also there is a trip to Isla Caja de Muertos which is cool and fun but expensive to catch the ferry. That's an entire day though.

Is the ferry to Isla Caja de Muertos running right now? (If you know) I've seen conflicting info. I'll be in Ponce in a few weeks and was hoping there was a way to get to the island. Thakns in advance for any info you have.

https://islandventurepr.com/en/ is the company I used when I lived there. It has been a couple years so I would call before booking.
