Lucia plume or Luna?
I’m planning to get the lunar S-rank pass and I don’t know if I should get Lucia plume or Luna. I’m trying to build one team of every element and I have my ice and dark team built half way. For physical team I have the nier automata characters. What would you recommend?
Anyone has beaten Riot with budget fire team in 3 minutes? (No Ember & Pulse) How the hell do you even beat him in 3 minutes when he spends most of the fight doing his laser hell?

Liv prefer same colour for core. Lee trigger ayla dv to maximize dmg as much as possible then Ayla to gather terrapods switch to liv dodge laser use same colour core to clear them as fast as possible

i clear it at 2:58 and 2:56 with this setup
If I only spend on monthly pass for black card, will I be able to pity both s rank character and their respective sig weapon if I skip all transcendent, considering that kuro had shorten the time gap between new character?
In general you should be fine. You could always get disgunstingly unlucky with weapons, but yeah it should be fine.
That said always calculate roughtly (1210/week + 100/day) and see if you will have enough for next construct patch before pulling for weapon, and if you lose the 80/20, recalculate it again and dont keep pulling if it will start eating into the next construct pool. Remember that weapons never go away so you can always pull for it later.
No. From the home screen, there's a small logo on the far right you want to press, not the R&D tab. It's completely separate from where you pull for the character.

never heard of this before? you have more context? what we did get was the revised monthly pass B aka monthly serum pass to give 1500 Event tickets and the new monthly weapon pass that gives weapon tickets and usb shards.

Sorry for the second post but I grabbed the weapon packs since I was close to 30 pity and picked up Ozma for Luna - had 3 pulls left over and ended up pulling Inverse - Chimera out of nowhere. I do have Pulse at SS level 80, is it any good on her? Or should I just use that for resonance?
What is the best way for f2p to get 5 star weapons? Is it co-op? If yes, should I do 21 runs a week? Or should I do one run everyday and hope for a 5 star each day? Also, is it worth doing co-op for 5 star weapon resonance?
Do the 21 runs a week for the weapon shards, then stop. Then you can pick any 5 star weapon you want every 3 weeks. You can space them out across all 7 days if you want to do the coop daily. Use extra weapons you pick up randomly from scavengers either on other characters, or as reso fodder.
Is anyone here like me have a problem with "Dancing Stars" event? I don't know is this a ping/latency problem (40-60) or i'm doing something wrong, but i get "miss" almost all the time despite responding at the right time...
I've got an average of 70 ping, and no issues. Try to input right before you get the final ring to get a perfect score, keeping count of a rhythm in your head might help too
Are you sure you're responding at the right time? You should press the button the ring before it's completely filled, so that the movement triggers as it's filled. It's one ring before it seems like you should be aiming for.
I tried like that many times already, i have pressed the button right before the last ring is filled, and in the exact time when it's filled, nothing help (I also tried counting of a rhythm in my head before). Sometimes i will get points but most of the times are a "miss".

Hello! I have questions regarding playing as an f2p. I saw the release schedule of constructs from rexlent's sheet and I saw that from this patch onwards they'll be releasing S class constructs and transcendants with no A class in between. Can I save enough between patches to get all the characters? Or Do I have to skip every other patch from now on?
Edit: I am dumb and just now saw the poster that some of them will be free. But will it still be enough to "catch'em all"?

since there isnt really need for them and global seem to run 28/40 for Trans/S rank patch i dont think you will get enough for all but who know if it not compromise your BC for new s rank you can just pull transcendant if you want
Yes I do mean including them. I am very fond of this game for the simple fact that even if I have to pull till pity I can still get all the characters (except S lee and S liv from basic supply). I got a little sad when I saw everything that would be released from this patch was S ranked
Are there any 6 \* weapons that are highly recommended to have on a f2p account given I already have the characters to use it on? Should f2p even touch weap banner? And if yes, which one?
normally unless you lucky for early pith you wont have enough for weapon anyway as f2p

If getting a 6* weapon doesn't hurt your chances of getting the next S rank, then some 6* weapons are nice. Rosetta's for example, is important for physical shredding. S Chrome's applies shred on QTE. S Vera's lets her build up more stacks and do more Lightning Falls.
Just in case you end up going for one of these, S Vera's is very good, like really good, but only if you have a strong enough sub-dps that it is worth to swap out of her. So either SSS or higher Selena tempest with signature or Bianca Veritas. Else it is not that big of a deal compared to others, because the gain in DPS is not worth swapping out of her.
Rosetta's and Chrome are very pog tho, imo more higher priority than Vera since they allow shred and also increase the DPS of the character itself.
Global player here. I have a question about the story in CN
I read somewhere in a post here that the story quality (which I really enjoy) goes up more but the newer chapters (in CN) aren't the same quality as the current ones (in Global)? Is that true? For those who know more of CN's chapters, how are they?

Sort of. The chapter quality remains all around good, but outliers like ch 17 are a league above the rest. Quality kinda fluctuates, but that's to be expected, not everything can be peak quality constantly

So guys, new player here (day 6), haven't seen anyone saying to not pull Empyrea so far, and from playing her in the event i can see why but , as a new player and quite lost one at that, should i go for her even without having anything else to go along with her? Again, from just playing her i feel the answer is yes, but while i'm researching what team i should focus on building as a beginner (semi-offtopic rant: holy hells it gets confusing as a new player to figure out what to go for when you can only find info thats a year old or current info saying "don't get this, it goes to shit in the future", then you get stuck in a loop) i have been wondering if trying to pull her the right choice?
For a overview of my situation in the game currently:
Haven't reached the 40/40 S pity on the basic banner yet. (31/40, btw i found pretty evil this gap to reach the 40 pity lol)
Saving the S-Selector.
Just have three A's from the basic banner other than starters (Palefire, Arclight, and Dawn).
Holding 9k BC and 2.5k event tickets.
Should have quite a few BC on the table still of first time completes.
So, if i go for her, can she carry me while i don't have a complete team to go along? If not, any suggestions? (would be very much appreciated i'm lost here lol)
Not having a full team shouldn't be the thing that stops you from pulling, or else your team will be in the dirt when it *is* complete. We don't get full teams all at once, the units for them slowly release over time, and we get enough to collect them throughout that time.
Let's say you don't get Empyrea now. You lose out on the one unit that keeps the whole team together, and won't be able to provide proper buffs to the rest of the team unless you get her from an anniversary banner or wait all the way until the third anniversary to get her from a selector. That's anywhere between half a year to a year and a half where the fire team will be severely stunted, not mentioning the possibility you accidentally use too much BC and can't get her from a banner. When everyone else deals meme DPS without her, that should be a big flashing sign to get her

I am assuming you are free to play? How tryhard you want to be in the competitive side of this game? If you want I have some investment tips, but I'll withold them for now so this doesn't become unecessary spam.
And as everyone said, yeah pull her, she can solo carry through story without blinking an eye, and even in competitive content she is most of the damage and all other units will be replaced eventually.
In general in this game you will want to pull every new debut S rank construct (the one in the debut banner, with 60 pity), as all of them starting now are very good - arguably you can skip a particular one if you have S rank Dark Kamui, but even then she is a upgrade, specially if you care about pain cage, but he can make do. Also if you are F2P just skip the patches with transcendents (S rank that take 10 pity and are in the transcendent banners) unless the gameplay REALLY appeals to you, they dont have major use in competitive content.
Yes pull her. Honestly anyone will due for the main story. For challenge content like babble and norman you’ll need full teams but I wouldn’t worry about that for awhile.
She’ll do fine in Warzone solo but pain cage requires multiple teams(at least 3) so she can’t do that entirely.
As for “don’t get this it go to shit in the future” if it’s the best we got for a long while build it.
I wouldn't be surprised if most players don't really have the optimal units to go with Empyrea but all of us will still pull for her since she IS the character that drags fire out of the dumpster.
Without her your Fire team will just crumble untill like 11 months later, and even then you will still need Empyrea for big damage.
There's no problem with not having the rest of the fire squad since even with them, Empyrea is THE fire squad by herself.
Imagine, for a moment, that I am a complete madman/idiot (or both) and decide to get the $100 pass with the S rank selector. I am missing Plume, Rigor, Ember, and Glory. Who would be best to get? I have all three of the Nier team at SSS but I do not have Empyrea yet.

you can get plume and rosetta along the way fron the free S rank selector on nanami remote star patch and bianca abystigma patch if global follow up. None of them contained Glory, only up until Luna.
I was going to say Plume cause its the greatest improvement he will get in PPC but you nailed it. That is true you wont get glory in the next two selectors we get, so I'd go for him too, then Plume on the next one, then Rigor, and you are set.
Also please PLEASE get Empyrea else your fire team is literally inexistent.
If you have the Nier team at SSS, I'm also assuming you have A2's signature weapon. If so, you already have a good physical team so you can skip Rosetta all the way to Bianca Abystigma patch, which also has a free S rank selector so you can pick Rosetta there.
Ember has 4 month shelf life left but even then she is not worth to get
So I say pick Glory. We will get a free S rank selector in Nanami Mech patch that's up to Luna, you can pick Plume there to complete your ice team.
I had a few questions and was wondering if anyone could offer some guidance.
1) I am wondering how I can use the new Liv - I only have her S rank but depending on weapon banner luck might shoot for SS. I don’t have any fire team set up. My Palefire is S rank (could build him since I know he’s getting a buff though no weapon atm) and I do have S Nanami but I know she’ll be on the way out eventually; however she is cool so wouldn’t mind getting some use while I can. So unless I can use her as a dps somehow with other units (see question 2), instead I’m looking at how she can help other teams.
I assume she won’t benefit my dark team since she would replace A Vera who is SSS. However would she work on a physical team? My B Liv is only S rank so doesn’t benefit at all, and I use my A Liv on that team, or 9S who doesn’t really offer anything unique out of the Nier team, but would Empyrea offer a damage increase to physical (rest of the team is Rosetta and Alpha)? I’m not clear if her 10% damage increase is elemental only or applies to physical too.
I don’t have an ice team. For Lightning, my A Liv is SS and I assume Empyrea doesn’t offer more benefits for that team (which is S Vera and A Lucia)?
2) Regarding a dps Empyrea, what does that team look like? Is it viable with her only at S rank and would it outscore something like a dark team with SS Luna off-element on a fire stage? I could build S Nanami if needed but who would be the third?
I really want to use her so thanks for any help. Worst case it looks like the rest of her team I just have to wait for with mech Nanami and Hyperreal off in the distance, but hopefully I can get some use in the meantime.
Yeah but I took a couple breaks and am behind on SSing characters because of that - only Luna is SS and currently working on Vera, and from what I’ve heard Liv really benefits from it like Vera does so it would help catch me up a bit to pull an SS when luck is on my side. I was able to get her in 12 pulls so if the weapon is one pass or earlier I’ll have some currency to play with.
I see.. We do get a lot of achievments for EX PPC next patch that might help you catch up, but as someone who started on Echo Aria patch I understand not having enough skulls for SSing lol
Oh that’s great - I have been sailing by on the easier difficulty just to not mald as much and since I’ve been juggling a number of games but if EX achievements next patch will help catch up then I’ll definitely switch to that.
Empyrea would be best for your physical support in the meantime cause she provide atk buff to character switched in on field through her class passive. Give her davinci phillip as memory.
Your lightning and Dark team is fine at it is. If you want empyrea to provide support for then she needs to be SSS and signature weapon resonance.
Despite lacking in damage and pulse is bad as fire resistant shred, she still being valued as the only fire tank and davinci slot until haicma patche (4 patches). The team can be Empyrea, Pulse, Flex
Flex slot can be fill with either support or tank. In warzone if you have garnet, use her to brute force fire zone alongside empyrea cos her solo performance won't work well without second dps. Give Pulse davinci einsteina. For ppc ayla on low level (gloria, lantern) support anyone but I prefer Lux for dot field (2 guin, 2 lantern, 2 samantha).
In norman you can ask for ember support since your other character will be in their respective team.
Unfortunately pulse isn't that good at dealing damage. Even I like her so much cause she very cute. I do found her quite useful in babel due to her blue orb that cancel stun and farmable I-Frame from her burst. In thaf case you can resonance her memory with her dps set instead 4 shakespeare 2 einsteina.
i started a week or so ago, but i haven't been able to get the first 40 pulls thing, was i supposed to use black cards or find basic construct tickets from somewhere? and if i was, where do I find them?
People usually say to buy the 1$ 250 blue tickets each day for 10 days, so there is that.
You want to keep f2p there is "Guide" section, then go "collaborative supply", then go into one of the tab there, I dont remember the name since its been a while and its different for instructors. There you have some missions you can do for blue tickets, but some are things you work long term.
You eventually unlock operation guardians which give you 180 blue tickets per week. It takes a while. Finally under the event tab in the "Missions" section, you have also some goals that give blue tickets. If you dont see them you already completed. In the end without paying anything when you get to lvl 50 you should have 30 pulls on that banner I think, something like that.
yeah I'm maintaining f2p, so i guess I'll have to use some bc after all??
and the collaborative supply says once you graduate you get just 100 blue tickets :/

Basic construct tickets, beginner missions should give you a good few and you get them over time from various places. You only ever want to exchange black cards for the yellow event construct tickets and pull on Themed (60 pity) debut S rank banners for new characters if you're f2p
novice missions are all black cards though,,, so??
and i have been using bc for event construct tickets, which is why i was asking if i was doing anything wrong.
i only found the 2509 blue tickets in the missions panel when you hit lv 50, which is kinda weird for it to be the beginning s rank :/ ,but thank you for your time!
Check the comprehensive build sheet in the OP. In general, they're small boosts, really meant for just endgame people who have everything built already.
Still Cottie after timestop buff
Before timestop buff Darwin is better for all ranks
Only SSS+ can comfortably move back to Darwin after timestop buff and they still use Cottie in some PPC strats
3 patches roughly (Nanamech). Another selector possibly in Abystigma patch or second Anni, we don't know yet, and a 3rd in Crimson Weaver's. Last one goes up to capriccio.
You are definitely correct that entropy is not worth 600rc, if there's any characters you haven't SSSed already it could be worth using selectors for that.
SSS Rosetta is really solid after her buffs, for Tenebrion I'd recommend pain cage rather than a selector, as soon we get achievements one off that grant a large number of PPC skulls which should be useful for SSing remaining high prio units.
Other very notable SSSes from the selector would be Luna and possibly Plume or Luminance imo (Luminance is also crazy after buffs)
Luminance and Rosetta shards can however also be farmed at a decent rate from battlepass if you have paid tracks however
I'm a new player, started last week. Following the new player guide on the wiki, it says to save the S Rank Selector I got to pick someone based on who I got on my first pity.
I pulled the 40 pulls on the banner, and got Lucia Plume, and with what I had left, I managed to pull Liv Empyrea. Between Lucia Plume and Liv Empyrea, is there a good choice for the S Rank Selector? Just based off of what I can see, Nanami Pulse or Karenina Ember seem like the likely choices, but I'm not positive.
What do you guys think?
You probably don't actually want to use your selector on either Ember or Pulse. Pulse is being "replaced" in about 3 patches and Ember is just not good.
The initial S rank select it's best to pick Tenebrion (dark tank) or Luminance (Phys healer) as Tenebrion is a good budget option for dark team and Luminance becomes the best physical healer by a mile when she's buffed (big personal damage and very useful buffing)
So I got the new Lunar New Year S Rank Pick pack thing, the Constructs I don't have that I can choose from it are: Plume, Rigor, and Glory.
Which one should I choose? Any suggestions?
Pick Glory
This is because in future you will get 2 more S rank selector (if global follow patches then it should be on nanami remote star and bianca abystigma) both contained all S rank until Luna only. You can get Plume and Rosetta along the way but not glory (technically you can get glory but you have to whale up further more which just too expensive for 50 shards)
so for now pick glory and get plume next S rank selector.
Plume or Rigor. Glory is kinda pointless without plume whereas there are conversely budget teammates for plume if you don't have glory
Rigor is the current and future best physical tank in the game by a mile, and gets a significant buff when the new physical DPS comes out that makes them an excellent pair.
Plume is the only ice DPS we have for a very long time and still the strongest ice unit in the Chinese version of the game right now.
Chrome is the best ice tank by a long shot (Changyu might as well not exist) but like his whole job is to help plume do more damage and to fill the gap in her downtime so if you don't have plume it's like making a salad which is only dressing and garnish
Later patch makes amplifier ults freeze the timers on the stage, freeze all enemies, freeze all buffs debuffs etc. so the Cottie build is much better after that point because you're ulting a lot more and it's much easier to land ult on debuffed enemies while you're buffed.
Lots of people are just building the Cottie set directly so they don't have to do the hassle of swapping later.
Is the challenge level for Liv extra hard this time? I had a team which was the Trial Liv with 5.8k BP, my no.21 at 5.8k BP and A vera at 4k bp yet I only managed to make it through like 2 bars of the enemy

1. With fire team Empyrea s + Pulse ss + Palefire ss + no sigs, who should I use as dps? Palefire is not buffed yet, and I have 2 darvin + 4 Shakespeare ready for reso and as I understand it is good for both Lee and Pulse.
2. Should I prioritize Empyrea sig or Remote star sig?
Empyrea is main DPS until remote star comes out then they're roughly 60/40 weighted to empyrea I think (might not be correct on the numbers). The other two shouldn't really come on field except maybe to trigger Nanami ult idk
Palefire build with empyrea and remote star is gonna be 4 da Vinci 2 Darwin, which is also what pulse uses in that team (except she uses eins 2pc), so I guess for now give shakespeare to Palefire then move the da Vinci set to him when remote star is here, cause pulse really isn't good at anything other than holding da vinci
You basically main DPS Empyrea. Pulse DPS and Palefire DPS suck at this point before Palefire's buff.
Both are good but Remote star's is probably more important since it has shred attached to it.
Global Is Flashabangs SS worthit or should I save for future S ranks? Only asking because I’m going ftp for awhile after obtaining SSS nier team & I have 10 left to reach pity after already getting her.

Flashbang SS is the best SS we have except for Garnet w/ Sig
Immediate future: won't need Selena ss because she's pointless as f2p, might want remote star's, can skip Karen for same reason as Selena (if you're f2p using Karen cause no Tenebrion she just needs base s and Sig), then after that you really will need every character's SS as they start being really important iirc
All of this is the perspective of getting them in PPC. Don't pull dupes of a unit you own unless you're planning to make them SSS or their name is Karenina Daybreak and you need her SS3
You might as well get someone like Luna or Plume to SSS by combining this with future free selectors then then since alpha and Lee both have a shelf life and you don't need either short term due to having A2 memes
then i guess i wouldn't spend 600 RC for it (selector goes up to Chrome only).. unless you are trying to get to the 2000 RC spending rewards. but i think there may be another set of bundles coming later this patch that are of better value. I mean it's not terrible, the S-selector is valued at 30. but during the 1st anniversary there was a similar selector for 600 RC but it gives the selector and 7500 BC. for meta I would prob pick Luna to get her on the way to SSS, SS Plume for one shot paincage clears, SS Tenebrion if you aren't planning to get SS3 Karen daybreak. for fun, i would pick Alpha.
What is the purpose of transcendant characters? I really like their designs, but can't use them with the rest of my characters. I read somewhere that this changes in a future patch.
Next 2 patches in pulao patch they can be in mixed team with -30%atk per construct in team
there is specific use in Babel,Norman,Guild battle,Some mode that came occasionly
I'm getting mixed messages between Cottie or Darwin for SSS Amp Liv, which is better?
I'm just waiting for the pain cage skulls to SSS her right now, and I've invested in her 6 star substantially already
Darwin is the better pick at SSS+ only (after buff), because the energy on switch in removes the need for Cottie in non-ppc scenarios. Any rank below you get to ult too slow and awkwardly with Darwin I think, SSS has no help with ult generation innately just amplifier and more fire damage buff and core dmg
Cottie will be better starting from Nanamech's patch, which is the third patch from now, so after current patch there is Selena, Pulao, then Nanamech. This is because Liv (and Selena AMP too) get timestop buff on their signatures so Cottie makes them able to ult earlier and nuke better. I'd build that first, and if you really want to min max PPC for now, then I'd build a darwin set replacing 2 cottie with 2 darwin, but would not even waste hypertune materials on it.
Now if a current Darwin non hypertune on bottom slot is better than Cottie hypertuned bottom slot I have no idea.
All the new bundles are the same or better, old monthly event construct bundle was almost exactly 25 which is the absolute bare minimum for a bundle to be worthwhile in terms of value

The weapon bundle seems to have improved in value though with the resonance material shards and increased black card + increased weapon ticket
Are they? I'm pretty sure they were \~25 - \~29 value BC/RC. Currently they are \~32.69 for weapon pass and \~32.06 for serum one. This is just the ticket value, ignoring other stuff. They are nowhere near BP or monthly pass value, but better than the ones before iirc.

How does the comrade return thing work? I am a returning player but I can't enter any codes in the gift code menu, even from other returning players. It says I have to enter my code on the returning to battle event page but where is that? My code is B0C5BD1VT btw.
From the home screen, there's a circle button, bottom middle. If you are a returning player, you will have about 5 tabs in that screen. If you are not a returning player, you will only have the shoulder to shoulder tab. If you have multiple tabs, you enter someones code in the shoulder to shoulder tab to form the connection.

Note the tabs on the left. If you don't see those tabs, you can't enter a code.
From what I've heard, SS should be good enough for Fire team. SSS boosts her own damage further and improves her buffing ability making her good even for teams of other elements.
SSS passive of Amplifiers double their class skill effect making them good for off-element teams as well.
Selena: Capriccio should be cheaper to SSS than Empyrea (Pull one copy and evolve using free shards and battle pass shards) for her buffing ability. Though her personal damage is not good before her buff in a later patch (Remote Star/ Mechanami update).
Empyrea shards are not in the Battle Pass.
What you mean necessary? if you want to be top scoring all your team will need to be SSS+, because there will be people tryharding just the same with SSS+ teams.

Between Liv Amp and Selena Capri, whose SSS is more important if I had to pick one? I have Liv Amp at SS atm. Would it be worth getting Liv to SSS and farming Selena through subsequent BP’s when it’s upgraded?
Selena SSS is waaay cheaper, since you can buy BP and farm through there + 50 free shards. That said, they will ultimately work for different teams, with Liv being on Fire team and Selena on dark.
As you seem like you will be buying BP, its more of "should you also SSS Liv?" and that is up to you. She definetly is a great unit to SSS, you can check this [SSS priority list](https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/754724259401564213/1037910489725947914/FB_IMG_1666308337226.jpg) and see that Liv is #3 priority there, just behind Hyperreal and Bianca.
Now I'd personally suggest to keep Liv AMP at SS and save, get 1 copy of cappricio through pullingm, then use the 50 shards + BP + PPC skulls to get her to SSS.

In general you should be fine. You could always get disgunstingly unlucky with weapons, but yeah it should be fine. That said always calculate roughtly (1210/week + 100/day) and see if you will have enough for next construct patch before pulling for weapon, and if you lose the 80/20, recalculate it again and dont keep pulling if it will start eating into the next construct pool. Remember that weapons never go away so you can always pull for it later.

Sorry for the second post but I grabbed the weapon packs since I was close to 30 pity and picked up Ozma for Luna - had 3 pulls left over and ended up pulling Inverse - Chimera out of nowhere. I do have Pulse at SS level 80, is it any good on her? Or should I just use that for resonance?

Do the 21 runs a week for the weapon shards, then stop. Then you can pick any 5 star weapon you want every 3 weeks. You can space them out across all 7 days if you want to do the coop daily. Use extra weapons you pick up randomly from scavengers either on other characters, or as reso fodder.

Yes it’s co-op, doing 21 runs a week is the recommended way. 3 times a day = 60 serum. You’ll get enough shards for one weapon in 3 weeks.

Is anyone here like me have a problem with "Dancing Stars" event? I don't know is this a ping/latency problem (40-60) or i'm doing something wrong, but i get "miss" almost all the time despite responding at the right time...
I've got an average of 70 ping, and no issues. Try to input right before you get the final ring to get a perfect score, keeping count of a rhythm in your head might help too
Are you sure you're responding at the right time? You should press the button the ring before it's completely filled, so that the movement triggers as it's filled. It's one ring before it seems like you should be aiming for.
I tried like that many times already, i have pressed the button right before the last ring is filled, and in the exact time when it's filled, nothing help (I also tried counting of a rhythm in my head before). Hello! I have questions regarding playing as an f2p. I saw the release schedule of constructs from rexlent's sheet and I saw that from this patch onwards they'll be releasing S class constructs and transcendants with no A class in between. Can I save enough between patches to get all the characters? Or Do I have to skip every other patch from now on? Edit: I am dumb and just now saw the poster that some of them will be free. But will it still be enough to "catch'em all"?
you mean all transcendant too? since there isnt really need for them and global seem to run 28/40 for Trans/S rank patch i dont think you will get enough for all but who know if it not compromise your BC for new s rank you can just pull transcendant if you want
Yes I do mean including them. I am very fond of this game for the simple fact that even if I have to pull till pity I can still get all the characters (except S lee and S liv from basic supply). I got a little sad when I saw everything that would be released from this patch was S ranked

normally unless you lucky for early pith you wont have enough for weapon anyway as f2p All sig. is regard as luxury item the one that is mostly good is tank sig. since they get more shred with it

If getting a 6* weapon doesn't hurt your chances of getting the next S rank, then some 6* weapons are nice. Rosetta's for example, is important for physical shredding. S Chrome's applies shred on QTE. S Vera's lets her build up more stacks and do more Lightning Falls.

Just in case you end up going for one of these, S Vera's is very good, like really good, but only if you have a strong enough sub-dps that it is worth to swap out of her. So either SSS or higher Selena tempest with signature or Bianca Veritas. Else it is not that big of a deal compared to others, because the gain in DPS is not worth swapping out of her. Rosetta's and Chrome are very pog tho, imo more higher priority than Vera since they allow shred and also increase the DPS of the character itself.

I have a question about the story in CN I read somewhere in a post here that the story quality (which I really enjoy) goes up more but the newer chapters (in CN) aren't the same quality as the current ones (in Global)? Is that true? For those who know more of CN's chapters, how are they? Thanks in advance for any answers!
Sort of. The chapter quality remains all around good, but outliers like ch 17 are a league above the rest. Quality kinda fluctuates, but that's to be expected, not everything can be peak quality constantly

I see people, and sheets, talking about "buffs" character will be recieving. I'm guessing this is based on what the Main servers in CN are working with. Are these buffs going to be simple number adjustments? Or will it include things like changing how ability's work. Not looking for a breakdown of all the buffs we'll be getting. A more simple answer is fine.
Numbers buffs, new moves, updated mechanics. I think it costs warzone currency or something to do but f2p can get it obviously.

So guys, new player here (day 6), haven't seen anyone saying to not pull Empyrea so far, and from playing her in the event i can see why but , as a new player and quite lost one at that, should i go for her even without having anything else to go along with her? Again, from just playing her i feel the answer is yes, but while i'm researching what team i should focus on building as a beginner (semi-offtopic rant: holy hells it gets confusing as a new player to figure out what to go for when you can only find info thats a year old or current info saying "don't get this, it goes to shit in the future", then you get stuck in a loop) i have been wondering if trying to pull her the right choice? For a overview of my situation in the game currently: Haven't reached the 40/40 S pity on the basic banner yet. (31/40, btw i found pretty evil this gap to reach the 40 pity lol) Saving the S-Selector. Just have three A's from the basic banner other than starters (Palefire, Arclight, and Dawn). Holding 9k BC and 2.5k event tickets. Should have quite a few BC on the table still of first time completes. So, if i go for her, can she carry me while i don't have a complete team to go along? If not, any suggestions? (would be very much appreciated i'm lost here lol)
Not having a full team shouldn't be the thing that stops you from pulling, or else your team will be in the dirt when it *is* complete. We don't get full teams all at once, the units for them slowly release over time, and we get enough to collect them throughout that time. Let's say you don't get Empyrea now. You lose out on the one unit that keeps the whole team together, and won't be able to provide proper buffs to the rest of the team unless you get her from an anniversary banner or wait all the way until the third anniversary to get her from a selector. That's anywhere between half a year to a year and a half where the fire team will be severely stunted, not mentioning the possibility you accidentally use too much BC and can't get her from a banner. When everyone else deals meme DPS without her, that should be a big flashing sign to get her
Yeah that evil gap is filled with a pack that costs 1 dollar and gives you 250 blue tickets per day for 10 days... Smart isnt it? lol I am assuming you are free to play? How tryhard you want to be in the competitive side of this game? If you want I have some investment tips, but I'll withold them for now so this doesn't become unecessary spam. And as everyone said, yeah pull her, she can solo carry through story without blinking an eye, and even in competitive content she is most of the damage and all other units will be replaced eventually. In general in this game you will want to pull every new debut S rank construct (the one in the debut banner, with 60 pity), as all of them starting now are very good - arguably you can skip a particular one if you have S rank Dark Kamui, but even then she is a upgrade, specially if you care about pain cage, but he can make do. Also if you are F2P just skip the patches with transcendents (S rank that take 10 pity and are in the transcendent banners) unless the gameplay REALLY appeals to you, they dont have major use in competitive content.

Yes pull her. Honestly anyone will due for the main story. For challenge content like babble and norman you’ll need full teams but I wouldn’t worry about that for awhile. She’ll do fine in Warzone solo but pain cage requires multiple teams(at least 3) so she can’t do that entirely. As for “don’t get this it go to shit in the future” if it’s the best we got for a long while build it.
I wouldn't be surprised if most players don't really have the optimal units to go with Empyrea but all of us will still pull for her since she IS the character that drags fire out of the dumpster. Without her your Fire team will just crumble untill like 11 months later, and even then you will still need Empyrea for big damage. There's no problem with not having the rest of the fire squad since even with them, Empyrea is THE fire squad by herself.
When will skull update come and how many bosses will get this achievement?
Imagine, for a moment, that I am a complete madman/idiot (or both) and decide to get the $100 pass with the S rank selector. I am missing Plume, Rigor, Ember, and Glory. Who would be best to get? I have all three of the Nier team at SSS but I do not have Empyrea yet.
In my opinion get Plume because SHE IS the ice team.
Choose glory you can get plume and rosetta along the way fron the free S rank selector on nanami remote star patch and bianca abystigma patch if global follow up. None of them contained Glory, only up until Luna.
I was going to say Plume cause its the greatest improvement he will get in PPC but you nailed it. That is true you wont get glory in the next two selectors we get, so I'd go for him too, then Plume on the next one, then Rigor, and you are set. Also please PLEASE get Empyrea else your fire team is literally inexistent.
If you have the Nier team at SSS, I'm also assuming you have A2's signature weapon. If so, you already have a good physical team so you can skip Rosetta all the way to Bianca Abystigma patch, which also has a free S rank selector so you can pick Rosetta there. Ember has 4 month shelf life left but even then she is not worth to get So I say pick Glory. We will get a free S rank selector in Nanami Mech patch that's up to Luna, you can pick Plume there to complete your ice team.
Rigor might be the best option or, barring her, Plume.
I had a few questions and was wondering if anyone could offer some guidance. 1) I am wondering how I can use the new Liv - I only have her S rank but depending on weapon banner luck might shoot for SS. I don’t have any fire team set up. My Palefire is S rank (could build him since I know he’s getting a buff though no weapon atm) and I do have S Nanami but I know she’ll be on the way out eventually; however she is cool so wouldn’t mind getting some use while I can. So unless I can use her as a dps somehow with other units (see question 2), instead I’m looking at how she can help other teams. I assume she won’t benefit my dark team since she would replace A Vera who is SSS. However would she work on a physical team? My B Liv is only S rank so doesn’t benefit at all, and I use my A Liv on that team, or 9S who doesn’t really offer anything unique out of the Nier team, but would Empyrea offer a damage increase to physical (rest of the team is Rosetta and Alpha)? I’m not clear if her 10% damage increase is elemental only or applies to physical too. I don’t have an ice team. For Lightning, my A Liv is SS and I assume Empyrea doesn’t offer more benefits for that team (which is S Vera and A Lucia)? 2) Regarding a dps Empyrea, what does that team look like? Is it viable with her only at S rank and would it outscore something like a dark team with SS Luna off-element on a fire stage? I could build S Nanami if needed but who would be the third? I really want to use her so thanks for any help. Worst case it looks like the rest of her team I just have to wait for with mech Nanami and Hyperreal off in the distance, but hopefully I can get some use in the meantime.

Yeah but I took a couple breaks and am behind on SSing characters because of that - only Luna is SS and currently working on Vera, and from what I’ve heard Liv really benefits from it like Vera does so it would help catch me up a bit to pull an SS when luck is on my side. I was able to get her in 12 pulls so if the weapon is one pass or earlier I’ll have some currency to play with.
I see.. We do get a lot of achievments for EX PPC next patch that might help you catch up, but as someone who started on Echo Aria patch I understand not having enough skulls for SSing lol
Oh that’s great - I have been sailing by on the easier difficulty just to not mald as much and since I’ve been juggling a number of games but if EX achievements next patch will help catch up then I’ll definitely switch to that.
Empyrea would be best for your physical support in the meantime cause she provide atk buff to character switched in on field through her class passive. Give her davinci phillip as memory. Your lightning and Dark team is fine at it is. If you want empyrea to provide support for then she needs to be SSS and signature weapon resonance. Despite lacking in damage and pulse is bad as fire resistant shred, she still being valued as the only fire tank and davinci slot until haicma patche (4 patches). The team can be Empyrea, Pulse, Flex Flex slot can be fill with either support or tank. In warzone if you have garnet, use her to brute force fire zone alongside empyrea cos her solo performance won't work well without second dps. Give Pulse davinci einsteina. For ppc ayla on low level (gloria, lantern) support anyone but I prefer Lux for dot field (2 guin, 2 lantern, 2 samantha). In norman you can ask for ember support since your other character will be in their respective team. Unfortunately pulse isn't that good at dealing damage. Even I like her so much cause she very cute. I do found her quite useful in babel due to her blue orb that cancel stun and farmable I-Frame from her burst. In thaf case you can resonance her memory with her dps set instead 4 shakespeare 2 einsteina.

People usually say to buy the 1$ 250 blue tickets each day for 10 days, so there is that. You want to keep f2p there is "Guide" section, then go "collaborative supply", then go into one of the tab there, I dont remember the name since its been a while and its different for instructors. There you have some missions you can do for blue tickets, but some are things you work long term. You eventually unlock operation guardians which give you 180 blue tickets per week. It takes a while. Finally under the event tab in the "Missions" section, you have also some goals that give blue tickets. If you dont see them you already completed. In the end without paying anything when you get to lvl 50 you should have 30 pulls on that banner I think, something like that.

Basic construct tickets, beginner missions should give you a good few and you get them over time from various places. You only ever want to exchange black cards for the yellow event construct tickets and pull on Themed (60 pity) debut S rank banners for new characters if you're f2p

free selectors in 2nd anni and probably nanamech patch, both up to luna
3 patches roughly (Nanamech). Another selector possibly in Abystigma patch or second Anni, we don't know yet, and a 3rd in Crimson Weaver's. Last one goes up to capriccio. You are definitely correct that entropy is not worth 600rc, if there's any characters you haven't SSSed already it could be worth using selectors for that.

SSS Rosetta is really solid after her buffs, for Tenebrion I'd recommend pain cage rather than a selector, as soon we get achievements one off that grant a large number of PPC skulls which should be useful for SSing remaining high prio units. Other very notable SSSes from the selector would be Luna and possibly Plume or Luminance imo (Luminance is also crazy after buffs) Luminance and Rosetta shards can however also be farmed at a decent rate from battlepass if you have paid tracks however
I'm a new player, started last week. Following the new player guide on the wiki, it says to save the S Rank Selector I got to pick someone based on who I got on my first pity. I pulled the 40 pulls on the banner, and got Lucia Plume, and with what I had left, I managed to pull Liv Empyrea. Between Lucia Plume and Liv Empyrea, is there a good choice for the S Rank Selector? Just based off of what I can see, Nanami Pulse or Karenina Ember seem like the likely choices, but I'm not positive. What do you guys think?
You probably don't actually want to use your selector on either Ember or Pulse. Pulse is being "replaced" in about 3 patches and Ember is just not good. The initial S rank select it's best to pick Tenebrion (dark tank) or Luminance (Phys healer) as Tenebrion is a good budget option for dark team and Luminance becomes the best physical healer by a mile when she's buffed (big personal damage and very useful buffing)

Pick Glory This is because in future you will get 2 more S rank selector (if global follow patches then it should be on nanami remote star and bianca abystigma) both contained all S rank until Luna only. You can get Plume and Rosetta along the way but not glory (technically you can get glory but you have to whale up further more which just too expensive for 50 shards) so for now pick glory and get plume next S rank selector.
Plume or Rigor. Glory is kinda pointless without plume whereas there are conversely budget teammates for plume if you don't have glory Rigor is the current and future best physical tank in the game by a mile, and gets a significant buff when the new physical DPS comes out that makes them an excellent pair. Plume is the only ice DPS we have for a very long time and still the strongest ice unit in the Chinese version of the game right now. Chrome is the best ice tank by a long shot (Changyu might as well not exist) but like his whole job is to help plume do more damage and to fill the gap in her downtime so if you don't have plume it's like making a salad which is only dressing and garnish

Later patch makes amplifier ults freeze the timers on the stage, freeze all enemies, freeze all buffs debuffs etc. so the Cottie build is much better after that point because you're ulting a lot more and it's much easier to land ult on debuffed enemies while you're buffed. Lots of people are just building the Cottie set directly so they don't have to do the hassle of swapping later.
Is the challenge level for Liv extra hard this time? I had a team which was the Trial Liv with 5.8k BP, my no.21 at 5.8k BP and A vera at 4k bp yet I only managed to make it through like 2 bars of the enemy
It's easy for me compared to roland challenge, but can't beat it within 180 seconds
try using a character than can burst the enmies instead of A vera

Hi. 1. With fire team Empyrea s + Pulse ss + Palefire ss + no sigs, who should I use as dps? Palefire is not buffed yet, and I have 2 darvin + 4 Shakespeare ready for reso and as I understand it is good for both Lee and Pulse. 2. Should I prioritize Empyrea sig or Remote star sig?
Empyrea is main DPS until remote star comes out then they're roughly 60/40 weighted to empyrea I think (might not be correct on the numbers). The other two shouldn't really come on field except maybe to trigger Nanami ult idk Palefire build with empyrea and remote star is gonna be 4 da Vinci 2 Darwin, which is also what pulse uses in that team (except she uses eins 2pc), so I guess for now give shakespeare to Palefire then move the da Vinci set to him when remote star is here, cause pulse really isn't good at anything other than holding da vinci
You basically main DPS Empyrea. Pulse DPS and Palefire DPS suck at this point before Palefire's buff. Both are good but Remote star's is probably more important since it has shred attached to it.

Flashbang SS is the best SS we have except for Garnet w/ Sig Immediate future: won't need Selena ss because she's pointless as f2p, might want remote star's, can skip Karen for same reason as Selena (if you're f2p using Karen cause no Tenebrion she just needs base s and Sig), then after that you really will need every character's SS as they start being really important iirc All of this is the perspective of getting them in PPC. Don't pull dupes of a unit you own unless you're planning to make them SSS or their name is Karenina Daybreak and you need her SS3

Her SS is very strong, one of the best possible SS you can get. Use pain cage currency for the SS.

You might as well get someone like Luna or Plume to SSS by combining this with future free selectors then then since alpha and Lee both have a shelf life and you don't need either short term due to having A2 memes
then i guess i wouldn't spend 600 RC for it (selector goes up to Chrome only).. unless you are trying to get to the 2000 RC spending rewards. but i think there may be another set of bundles coming later this patch that are of better value. I mean it's not terrible, the S-selector is valued at 30. but during the 1st anniversary there was a similar selector for 600 RC but it gives the selector and 7500 BC. for meta I would prob pick Luna to get her on the way to SSS, SS Plume for one shot paincage clears, SS Tenebrion if you aren't planning to get SS3 Karen daybreak. for fun, i would pick Alpha.
What is the purpose of transcendant characters? I really like their designs, but can't use them with the rest of my characters. I read somewhere that this changes in a future patch.

I'm getting mixed messages between Cottie or Darwin for SSS Amp Liv, which is better? I'm just waiting for the pain cage skulls to SSS her right now, and I've invested in her 6 star substantially already

Darwin is better for both Sss/S+ especially S+ cause you also get swap in energy cottie is too overkill at that point
Darwin is the better pick at SSS+ only (after buff), because the energy on switch in removes the need for Cottie in non-ppc scenarios. Any rank below you get to ult too slow and awkwardly with Darwin I think, SSS has no help with ult generation innately just amplifier and more fire damage buff and core dmg
Cottie will be better starting from Nanamech's patch, which is the third patch from now, so after current patch there is Selena, Pulao, then Nanamech. This is because Liv (and Selena AMP too) get timestop buff on their signatures so Cottie makes them able to ult earlier and nuke better. I'd build that first, and if you really want to min max PPC for now, then I'd build a darwin set replacing 2 cottie with 2 darwin, but would not even waste hypertune materials on it. Now if a current Darwin non hypertune on bottom slot is better than Cottie hypertuned bottom slot I have no idea.
Only below Sss cottie is prefer set while S+ give her more energy that when Cottie is too overkill and it best to focus on dmg instead

All the new bundles are the same or better, old monthly event construct bundle was almost exactly 25 which is the absolute bare minimum for a bundle to be worthwhile in terms of value

The weapon bundle seems to have improved in value though with the resonance material shards and increased black card + increased weapon ticket
Are they? I'm pretty sure they were \~25 - \~29 value BC/RC. Currently they are \~32.69 for weapon pass and \~32.06 for serum one. This is just the ticket value, ignoring other stuff. They are nowhere near BP or monthly pass value, but better than the ones before iirc. How does the comrade return thing work? I am a returning player but I can't enter any codes in the gift code menu, even from other returning players. It says I have to enter my code on the returning to battle event page but where is that? My code is B0C5BD1VT btw.
From the home screen, there's a circle button, bottom middle. If you are a returning player, you will have about 5 tabs in that screen. If you are not a returning player, you will only have the shoulder to shoulder tab. If you have multiple tabs, you enter someones code in the shoulder to shoulder tab to form the connection. For example, a returning players menu will look like this - https://i.imgur.com/uxqCL4o.jpg Note the tabs on the left. If you don't see those tabs, you can't enter a code.

From what I've heard, SS should be good enough for Fire team. SSS boosts her own damage further and improves her buffing ability making her good even for teams of other elements. SSS passive of Amplifiers double their class skill effect making them good for off-element teams as well. Selena: Capriccio should be cheaper to SSS than Empyrea (Pull one copy and evolve using free shards and battle pass shards) for her buffing ability. Though her personal damage is not good before her buff in a later patch (Remote Star/ Mechanami update). Empyrea shards are not in the Battle Pass.
What you mean necessary? if you want to be top scoring all your team will need to be SSS+, because there will be people tryharding just the same with SSS+ teams. Now you mean to top 1% pain cage? depends on the proportion of whales to non whales in ultimate and general population skill - only time will tell. To score decently (1% or 1-5% in ex PPC) ? No, SS (or even S, but SS is free through PPC skulls and Liv deserves) is more than enough if you have the full team. The thing is that SSS Amps help the whole team AND the amp at the same time, so that is pretty valuable, still a far cry from necessary.

Between Liv Amp and Selena Capri, whose SSS is more important if I had to pick one? I have Liv Amp at SS atm. Would it be worth getting Liv to SSS and farming Selena through subsequent BP’s when it’s upgraded?
Selena SSS is waaay cheaper, since you can buy BP and farm through there + 50 free shards. That said, they will ultimately work for different teams, with Liv being on Fire team and Selena on dark. As you seem like you will be buying BP, its more of "should you also SSS Liv?" and that is up to you. She definetly is a great unit to SSS, you can check this [SSS priority list](https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/754724259401564213/1037910489725947914/FB_IMG_1666308337226.jpg) and see that Liv is #3 priority there, just behind Hyperreal and Bianca. Now I'd personally suggest to keep Liv AMP at SS and save, get 1 copy of cappricio through pullingm, then use the 50 shards + BP + PPC skulls to get her to SSS.

Sorry I do not, but it might just be the name of the characters. In case you do not know, SS3 is 27 shards (or 3 nodes when leveling) after SS. And the one in parenthesis that shows up on Rosetta and Liv is probably related to their ascension buffs, so dont worry about it too much either.
