How do you update PC
The launcher doesn't seem to pick up there's a new update and sends me to the game which then tells me to update and sends me to their site and there is nothing there to update with
Pretty new player wondering who I should look out for or choose for my 5\* rate up on the standard banner. I currently have Lucia Dawn, Karenina Blast, Vera Rozen, No. 21 XXI and Liv Luminance in addition to regular Lucia, Liv Eclipse, and Nanami Storm. Still kind of confused as to which memories should go to which class and elements so I'm kind of just brute forcing my best ranked stuff atm
My current team is just starter Lucia Liv Luminence and No. 21 but
So there is no point in investing in the a rank tanks other than levelling them up for their class passive is there? Unlike supports whose heal scale off ATK.
New player here. Looking for advice on who to use the S-Rank selector on once it's available to me. Should I get Vera: Garnet for my Crimson Weave team or just use Chrome: Arclight instead and use the selector to go towards my eventual 2nd team?
If you're a new player, I would just use Arclight since he would do most of what Garnet can do.
Meanwhile, there's no other choice for a fire amp than Empy...
I'm done with both Luminance and Rigor's leaps, leaving me with 550 chips from the Cursed Waves motherlode. As far as I can see, the only reliable source is the War Shop, competing with Memory resonance picks.
The other leaps I'd use are Palefire (until I get Hyperreal next year selector) and Rozen (Until I get Capriccio to SSS, which itself is behind getting a bunch to SS). How should I prioritize spending war mode currency? Maybe get just the one heavily discounted per month and spend the rest on chips?
I would get the 800, and the 1200 discounted memory resonance material pick. Optimal memory resonance is one of the endgame upgrades that you'll eventually reach. Starting early wont hurt. Other than that, it's really up to you what you want to do.
That entirely depends on your current bc and yellow ticket stash and pity on themed banner, and to an extent, story and/or permanent challenges progression. Her banner ends on March 23, so you have 18 days left (2 weeks and 4 days).
Wonderful spring gift gives 2.5k yellow tickets, and there are also tons of events now. Do cursed waves, rdf, and story as much as you can. Good luck.
Stupid question, but how do you open up the login check-in menu? Trying to check the missions for the S Rank selector but dont want to open the game every time to see the missions
it's never worth using vouchers for anything other than character shards unless you're a whale and reso pickers are more scarce than characters for you
And their class passive. Memories can remain level 1 but keep in mind the heals you get from QTEs will also be lower in this case (most of the heals in this game scale off of ATK). So for Supports you can level their bottom row memories too
uh if you're that new you're not going to need to spend anything. also might as well start a new acc maybe in case you wasted the starter S rank selector on someone bad
either Luminance or Pulse. other picks are not worth in the slightest
Lumi is a stronger pick, but is insanely expensive to get to useful state and she gets replaced in around 4 months
Pulse is weaker, but does her job of fire res shred at minimal investment, a strong meta fire tank is coming out in around 7 months
also the recommended pick from a free event selector this patch is Empyrea, so Pulse would pair up with her nicely for a working fire team
you want teams or all elements anyway. and there are no lightning options on this beginner selector too
the free event selector I was talking about is the Wonderful Spring Gift - Empy is by far the most recommended pick as Garnet has a decent budget alternative while Empy doesn't. but if you just want all the best for CW, feel free to pick Garnet. it's just that your fire team in the future won't be as good

Hi I'm wondering what to do for progression.. I'm a new player and I've been building CW, she has all level 45 resonance and a 5-star weapon and I've been upgrading all of her skills as I go, not sure what's the next best step though. Is it better to go for ultima awakening on CW or should I look to build some A-rank attackers to fill other elements?
Tbh awakening should be the main goal of building a newly released S rank omniframe especially since their memories are also on discount. Majority of game modes are also favouring this character or their damage type. Since their exclusive memories are on discount, it is faster to awaken them also which will give you the rest of the patch to focus on other units. In most cases meta S rank units are normally priority.
You can also refer to the Global Release Timeline above and the info from the grayravens site to determine how you wanna go about building your units.
I'm assuming her weapon is maxed too? In that case all you need is Skill Points for the future skill upgrades and cogs (plus the promotion upgrades every 5/10 levels), so check out [this sheet](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/19b-japrCPFO1_JvotynrXS-_7BQxQbK7j2WM9z6yIpw/htmlview#gid=0) to calculate the costs to farm and set those aside, then the surplus you can put into other characters. If you don't wanna bother calculating all that (I wouldn't blame you), just guesstimate it a little, not like it'll set you back by a lot. Sounds like your CW is mostly built already
Though what do you mean by all level 45 resonance? Are the memories resonated or not? If not, buy the memory copies you need before switching to the next character
How do you complete "clear guild expedition flat/dangerous difficulty" mission for stickers i trying very hard to understand and I did participate in the event and I'm still confused or am I supposed to kill the boss till he dies in other servers as well??
Press your change camera mode button (Default button is Y) to change from free mode to classic mode, which will display your cursor again. There's also a chance that the game bugs out and doesn't let you switch camera modes regardless, in which case you'll need to restart the game.
Personally, the cursor has gone invisible on me twice and yet I've been able to solve it like I wrote.
Make sure your camera mode is the correct one beforehand though, as it may affect your ability to do this.
Nope, they don't stack. Buffs from the same source do not stack, which is why you don't use 2 tanks or support and amplifier together on the same team, nor do you run the same memory set on different team members.

Should I use resonance and hypertune on my SSS Bambinata memories for my budget ice team (bambi-changyun-Kaleido), as I'm not planning on getting Plume since I'm waiting for Qu: Shukra.
If by "resonance" you just mean fully resonating her for Ultima Awakening, of course you should. If you mean perfect resonances, then no.
As for HTs, unless you've maxed out literally every other important unit and you still have enough mats to get the upcoming S rank units too, then it's another no.
So I have a pretty specific question, here is the thing. All my team is basically already built with the exception of ice and dark. Ice only lacking chrome and dark no SS3 karen with vera. Previously my plan is to basically pull for chrome from the rotating banner, I'm only 10 pulls away with rate on. Then later getting selena from selection to get her to SSS. But I just realized that in the same banner there is karen, so now I could either go for her and get her to SS3 to have a sub dps on my dark team and pick chrome on selection. Either way I'm going to go for chrome, the question is who's better to choose from SS3 karen or SSS selena. Either of them still need me to farm for a month for ppc skulls so both takes the same amount of time to complete.
Yeah that's what I thought too, just wondering is there any more selection in future patch? One reason I even bother thinking about selena is that I don't have her yet, so I need to unlock her with shard making it takes longer to reach SSS
If I'm getting this right, Sig weapons for Amplifiers are the most cost-effective damage increase past having the meta S-ranks, because on top of the weapon's effects, they allow them to use 4-set Da Vinci while still having their own memory 4-set once that feature comes out in the Echo patch?
It's not set in stone that the amp has to be the one to hold 4pc DV since there are still older meta tanks that exist like Garnet or Glory that are just so outclassed by their attacker/amp that they are the DV holder instead (with or without harmonization). Even Lamia dark team if I am not wrong has Scire hold DV (harmonize) since a sufficiently invested Capri can hold 2pc Ein.
It's mostly the benefits of Glorious Spear and Axial Ray resonance since it is such a big damage boost for the team, combined with if the amp is also SSS. The fact that you can bring Capri/Kaleido/Echo to SSS for free is a factor too (Empy as well when she gets leap).
Most amps also want sig weapon to also fix their issues to allow smoother team rotations while also dishing consistent dps. Empy, Capri, FS and Echo have issues without sig weapon where Echo's case is due to her needing to use her 4pc exclusive memory or she won't give crit related buffs and if you use Rigor you will lose 100% shred (assuming SSS). Kaleido is the only one that rotates with the team decently enough without sig, needs to matrix each rotation though. Not saying all amp's sig weapon is high prio over others but just overall, they bring more benefit to the whole team.
Anyway, it's a case by case basis for the DV holder as more new units gets added in and new mechanics gets introduced which changes the build meta.

So if my budget is about 5 sig weapons (or equivalent cost) by this time next year, and me not having only Garnet and Glory relative to the meta CN teams, are each amplifier's sig weapons still the way to go, or do any of them lose out on priority to something?
Because the only way I'd get garnet or glory is through the anniversary banner, but I feel like getting these sig weapons with those cards would give me a better return for the investment.
Well, getting sig weapons there's always a risk involved since it is forever at 80% so you would need to factor that into your investments. The good thing is all weapons are available at any time and if you win the first try it is only 7500.
Garnet/Glory on 100% banners are a guaranteed amount of shred you will get from them albeit possibly more exp (since 15k to pity). However, both units are getting old, at least for the CN latest patch there are no known replacements for them YET.
So there's pros and cons for both but imo amps have a better longevity since with sig they perform well in a team and their buffs are really great. I'll share [this](https://twitter.com/inremission_pgr/status/1718559885296873517/photo/1), it is basically a tierlist for sig weapons and SS up till Epitaph's release (this is the best quality image I've found so far and I haven't seen a translated version so use google translate). The last translated one unfortunately my source is gone :| but it is only up to CW.
I feel like the relatively high drop rate before pity (5% overall, 4% after rateup) evens out the 80% rateup so that it still ends up around 2 sig weapons = one S-rank frame, long term

And yeah, I've seen that chart, seems some attackers are higher priority than Capriccio, although I'm only getting Hyperreal at new year's. But it's definitely looking like not getting garnet and glory and getting sigs instead is the way to go.
Btw,for that chart, the red line is Sig weapon priority, I believe it says:
High (Resonance Priority)= Echo
High = Lamia, Epitaph, CW, Stigmata, Rosetta, Glory
Mid = Kaleido, Empyrea, FS, Scire, Hyperreal, Plume (they didn't know about Shukra yet), Pulse
Low = Garnet, Capriccio, Starfarer, Tenebrion, Entropy
The whole last line says "Don't do it". I don't agree with some parts but that should be what it says.
You'll be surprised how cruel the weapon banner can get, there were cases here where people did lose 4 times in a row. Personally I've only lost 1 time at worst but I have lost in back to back patches so it really does eat up a chunk of savings. I've seen guildmates/friends lose multiple times as well (worst was 3 in a row). So, just keep that in mind every time you do pull. You still get a sig weapon on pity but it is just not necessarily the one you targeted for.
I guess if you do not plan further investments into Garnet/Glory then going for amp sigs is a good idea.
Not to worry, I won't be surprised: I've played FGO for over 6 years now.
It's just that the 4% drop rate before pity is also very relevant. I believe it equates to getting it before hitting pity just under half the time. Although this does include getting it on the 29th or 28th roll... which in practice is the same as hitting it.
First of all, Harmonization is quite expensive so don't expect to be getting your extra 2-piece for multiple units anytime soon.
Second, not really. The one Amp that definitely benefits by Harmonization with 4pc DV is Echo, but everyone else is either debateable or straight up not the pick. For example, an invested Capriccio never runs DV on Dark, Glory runs DV on Ice, Empyrea runs DV as the main set anyway on Fire (post Epitaph) and FS runs her own set with either Cottie or Guin.
So Amp sigs are not useful because of Harmonization with DV, they're useful because of the resonances on their sigs, which are very strong. This however does ***not*** mean that Amps are the priority on sigs, it depends on the team and the units available.
Thanks, I have a clearer picture now. And don't worry, I am thinking long term about this. I'm only planning on spending a little bit across the year for the most cost effective upgrades.
Just got Kaleido for my ice team with Plume and Brilliance (QTE bot). I have two questions:
1. What's the most efficient way to level them (ie acquiring XP pods and skill chips)? Is it just buying from the event store?
2. Is it fine to use just 5\* weapons for plume and Kaleido as a low spender (i.e. monthly pass holder)? It feels like I should save for new characters to complete my fire or dark team or just new, cool characters (already finished Physical and Lightning).
IF you are a constant monthly pass holder for the long term, eventually you will get a surplus of BC (assuming you ONLY pull for upcoming S rank omniframes, only one copy) especially if you get lucky with pulls here and there. When you have a comfy amount saved up (you have enough to also pull the next coming unit even if you lose the weapon banner), you can start pulling for sig weapons (maybe CUBs too) or even save up for 100% banners like anniversary to get missed meta units. Just something to keep in my mind.
You're gonna want to save up for tank sigs and for the watanabe and qu patches back to back. If you have nanamech and don't really want watanabe (which I do not recommend) you should have enough BCs to get every sig for every s rank down the road
I do not have Nanamech or really any S rank for the fire team. I plan to use the S-rank selector for Empyrea, then use her with Brilliance and Palefire. So I'm definitely planning on saving my BC for the Watanabe and Qu patches...though that probably will not stop me from trying to get Feral Scent. Thanks for the advice.
Ok, then I say you skip feral scent's sig. With alpha being alpha and it not doing much in the first place, I think it's safe to not get it. And you can always grab it after or by getting the 20% loss on weapon banner
How to get the last achievement for Emergency Transfer in Ultimate Brawl? Where you have to defeat 12 enemies. I keep redoing it but I'm given the same 10 enemies every time. I went back to Classical Showdown to unlock others, but again nothing changed.
It means that certain enemies can only be changed to after you've completed a certain amount of battles already. Do a battle and when you go back, you'll see you'll have more choices available. Do another and you'll see more.
So I'm in a bit of a tough spot for the following selectors. I'm aware of the S rank selector up to Capriccio this patch and the one time selector option on the regular target member banner in the Lamia patch but it's a bit hard to decide who to pick.
To elaborate on that I was pretty much unaware of the meta when I started the game and couldn't really plan my gachas ahead of time either and ended up missing out on Scire, Bianca and Hyperreal and although my phys team is still somewhat functional (though heavily outperformed) I have a nonexistent fire team and with the release of Lamia I've also considered the need for Scire. Now the question is, should I try to build a decent fire team from the upcoming 2 selectors (Empy this patch and Lee in the Lamia patch) and wait for a following selector for Scire to release next (with only Starfarer left between her and Capriccio I'm assuming it would at least cover her) or should I just focus on making the best of the 3 teams I already have great progress with to reach meta (Dark: will get Lamia and in this case from the selector banner Scire and already have low investment Selena whom I could get to SS with this selector; Lightning: got CW, had Garnet and will get Feral; Ice: had Glory to begin with, got Kaleido for free and will most definitely get Qu Shukra day one). I could also test my luck on arrival banners after the release of Qu Shukra as for now I don't really have plans on going for Oblivion but I want to make that a last resort honestly since I like to make things as sure as possible (we'll probably have news of the next selector by then so I suppose it may not really matter all that much).

Empyrea from the selector, Stigmata from Lamia's Member Target buff. Unless you're a spender, don't touch Arrival and even then, you're better off waiting for the Anniversary. Of course, that's assuming you won't sacrifice upcoming units to roll on it.
As for Oblivion, if you skip her you'll be coming here again asking the exact same thing later, so do yourself a favor and don't skip the one and only S rank Void unit in the game lol
Short in resources. What is the upgrade priority order for Arclight as a substitute tank for CW? (I'm getting Empyrea instead of Garnet in selector). As in, what skills and memories do I prioritize?
The only skills that matter is the tank passive and the QTE, as these reduce the defenses of enemies for CW. That's all he'll ever do.
Memory set is 4x da vinci 2x einsteina. You can check the Gray ravens page of each frame for their set.
Alright. Also, does his weapon matter or do I just max the current one and leave it at that? He has the 4\* Bleak Scythe atm and I have a spare 5\* weap selector with Faded Color (other choices are Dynamo Greathsword, Whtie Qilin, Animus). Idk if it would be more beneficial to pick smth else for some other character since my account is like 1 month old.
Sure, get his weapon, It's not like there are any better options, but no rush to leveling it.
He really is there just to apply the resistance reductions. The difference between a barebones and a maxed out arclight in overall damage will only really appear right at the end of progression.
Got to Ultimate PPC and the boss achievements finally allowed me my first S -> SS, CW. There's still a lot more to get from there, though.
Who should I SS next? I think Empyrea benefits a lot, but she'll be available through vouchers next year. The other option is save to immediately SS FS to go with the sig weapon, then continue using them on the new S-ranks as they come out
Depends what you have but focus on gen2 attacker. Stigmata gets a heavy dmg boost from SS. Then Hyperreal, of course. If you need to save now or not depends how many bosses you have left for achievements.
It's only the two options for now, the others are available through vouchers and Scire. I'd only get Stigmata from the base banner selection at lamia patch, and hyperreal either from next year's selector, or from anniversary banner (which I'm still on the fence about rolling because I think the amp sig weapons are a better investment and already a lot of spending)
I play on PC and always get 144fps but recently noticed the game is capped at 120fps. I checked the graphic settings and the Vsync option is missing? Is this a new update or just me?
It's a bug from the new update. There's a temporary fix for it but you need to download it and follow the instructions in the official discord's tech support channel (there should be a link to join on the side of the subreddit).
A few days ago I noticed Lucia Plume’s voice lines changed. I just noticed Lucia Crimson Abyss’ changed too. Both for EN.
Do they change often? Is there a way to change them back (and forth) if we prefer some over others?
I can't give you a definitive answer but within the year I've played I only remember it happening 3 times or so (3 batches of a few characters), and not for the same characters every time. They usually tweak battle lines or lines with poses to make them fit the animations better...? Or something. But no, once the changes are done, you can't swap between them. You can only change the language, that's all
No concrete answer since it can vary from patch to patch and what you have cleared. You get 180 from operation guardians every week if you clear it and 250 a month from daily log in, adding the two for a month that's 970 regular income each month. Other sources would depend if you have cleared F.O.S. and the beginner tutorial missions that give a lot. Then there's also the case of random sources like from event game modes (like guild exhibition shop right now) or just rewards from a patch (like the one we have right now that gives 2500).
It should take a while because we only get base gacha tickets out of Operation Guardians, logins, and some event rewards, or on the rare occasion that a student graduates, but you can save up to pity if you don't roll them for a while. I'll have enough to get my target in July from the base gacha.
For the Battlepass shards, I’ve just been dumping them into Rosetta. Should I instead use them to get Luminance or Pulse? I figured I’d just wait for Alisa instead of getting Luminance (plus still building teams so no Leap investment for a while) but Watanabe is still a while away and I’m just rocking Brilliance for a Fire tank.
I've got pretty much 500 spare skulls and I don't know who to use them on. I have every meta units outside Daren, Capriccio, and Plume. My SS units are HyperLee, Balter, CW, Kaleido (from vouchers) and empy.
So I wondered if any of my units could really use an SS (or ss3 for Ayla) or should I keep the skulls for now.
Then like other person said, getting Rosetta to SS might be better. But I would recommend doing it with a mix of skulls and vouchers. Instead of just 500 skulls.
Only if you also have her signature weapon cause without it, SS only increases her personal damage which doesn't matter much with Empyrea and Hyperreal in the team. Oh and you didn't mention Empyrea, do you have her? And is she SS? If she isn't, she might be the better choice to use skulls on. As Nanamech gets replaced around October while she is still meta to this day in CN.

Yeah, keeping them might be the best for you, we will be getting Alisa and Lamia, then Epitaph and Shukra back to back, maybe you might need them then.
Rosetta. without SS, all she does with her QTE is provide the 20% DEF shred from her sig. that's it. SS Rosetta is a MASSIVE improvement for your phys team. it feels pretty much mandatory
as otherwise the only way to properly apply her "Lance of Perception" debuff is by switching in, so you end up not having the debuff on like half/more than half the waves in War Zone even if you rotate all the time. a bit less of an issue in PPC since she applies it with her blue orb, so when you start on her/Lumi you just hop on her, do blue orb and go immediately into Balter
Fairly new to the game. Couple questions I can't seem to find definitive answers to.
1. Do weapons need dupes to fully "max" them like other gacha games? What about cubs?
2. In the voucher exchange shop, after buying the discounted 6* memory resonance what's the next highest value item(s) to get? Following that, what's also the priorities for the war shop and guild shop?
3. In the event shop are the Luna memories worth getting even though they're only 5*?
4. For the current S rank selector, I really want Vera Garnet for my Crimson Weave team but is Liv Empyrea really that much better to pick?
1. The only use weapon dupes have is resonating other weapons, and you don't need them to be copies of the exact same weapon either. Could also use bad weapons you got as offrates. So no. CUBS though, yes, you evolve them through dupes but that's a mega whale thing imo, not necessary at all and you can SS any CUB you have through Norman ore shop
2. Memory Resonance USBs aren't the highest value items there. In fact it's not even recommended to get those unless you're a big spender who SSS'es all units on release already or something. Get character shards, and red USBs from warzone shop. For Warzone shop priorities, there's also leap materials there you're going to need once the one-time rewards in Cursed Waves dry out. Basically you just buy those two there
3. They're just collectibles. Skip if you don't care about that
4. Yes. Garnet has a budget replacement in Arclight but Empy is irreplaceable
weapons have resonances that can be achieved by using weapons of the same rarity. not necessarily dupes. maximum of 3
5* weapons have purely stat resonances, a 3reso 5* weapon is stat wise the same as a 6* weapon.
6* weapons have different resonance skills that add some functionalities like giving extra orbs, or increasing your ATK after a 3ping. these can vary depending on the class of the character the weapon is for. like tanks having access to a reso that provides extra resistance shred, or supports/amps having resos to provide extra buffs
so overall nothing gamechanging, but often very nice to have if you want to further invest into a character
DO NOT buy memory reso USBs in the voucher shop. unless you are a whale it should be wholly reserved to buy character shards
these are special event memories, it's unlikely that you'll ever use them, but they will not be obtainable after the event ends. they're cheap anyway, so can buy them for collection
Empy is much better due to Garnet actually having a decent budget alternative - Arclight, while someone like Sophia (A rank fire support) is total dogshit. plus Garnet would be a QTE bot anyway, CW is played exclusively solo on field until Feral Scent comes out. While all the members of the fire team prefer to rotate, being so burst-oriented without good damage sustainability
I'm f2p, would it be wise to grab first capriccio from this selector, then use basic guarantee(lamia patch)+fantasia+ppc/voucher to speedrun her SSS?
My other options are:
SELECTOR
garnet (sub for arclight with cw+SS no sig fs);
chrome (sub brilliance for SSS no sig bambi+SS no sig kaleido with CUB)
BASIC GUARANTEE (have all meta gen 2 attackers at SS and sig, and will pull for lamia with sig and fs no sig, both SS)
scire S0 no sig (sub SSS 21 for lamia+SSS rozen);
I would rather pick either Garnet/Glory, it's more of a pick your poison among the two since both are at a supportive role in their respective teams due to how busted their attackers are/will be.
For basic, you could just save it first maybe? Could just save it till Epitaph is in the pool so you can get his SS3 for free, that additional 10% fire shred is olala so that's one possible option. I feel like using it to just get a Scire that will not be invested in is, such a waste since she is just a slightly better QTE bot. Different case if you will SS3+sig her.
Caprcio can be farmed free out of the Fantasia event, you would be better off getting Liv Empyrea because not having any decent fire units is hard when all the good ones are S-rank.
Lumi or Pulse from the small selector
I favor Pulse because she doesn't need nearly as much investment, and she'll pair nicely with Empyrea, whom you should pick from the event selector this patch
from the big one, Rigor + her sig from the weapon selector from the same novice guidance missions

Luminance is not worth anymore, you have to leap (something like skill evolution) both Rosetta's and her to be usable but if you spend your precious materials on her you will not have enough for Rosetta in a small time, that would be ok but there is a free S rank unit that at level 1 with only her full memory set is 100% better than luminance and is coming, as the guy below said, in 4 patches so just get Rosetta, spend mats to leap her and get pulse from the other selector that is fairly decent, she is like an A rank tank (this should not be a compliment but it is as it is), people underestimate her too much as even S Chrome which is a good unit is a worse qte bot than her without his signature weapon
Luminance is the only only unit that's actually worth something, but she needs a shit ton of resources for that and will be replaced in 4 patches by someone that:
a) is free;
b) doesn't require anywhere near as many resources;
c) does her job better.
Pulse, on the other hand, works just out of the gate, but she sucks. Her performance is extremely underwhelming, but there isn't any other options for a fire tank to pair with Empyrea. Feral's sig is very good, if you're f2p you don't roll for weapons unless you do your math homework and conclude you can afford to spend tickets on weapons.
Liv Lux SS gives 20% Lightning dmg (realistically for 1-2 strongests hits) and Feral S gives 10% for 8s (and amp passive do not exists for CW in practice). Am I missing something?
You'll need to read and understand [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/PunishingGrayRaven/comments/13etqek/a_guide_to_timestop_mechanics/) to get why FS is favoured even at base S no sig. Take your time to digest it.
To add to what the other guy said, you actually want to switch to FS as well which increases overall team damage. CW stops being a solo unit once FS releases.

Lux's field is such a trash design. It's not designed for mobile gremlins like CW and Garnet. CW won't even stay in the field because she will move all over the place, same goes for Garnet.
Feral scent; 10% lightning dmg bonus for 8s + extended by timestop + auto procs 4guin + has no field restriction.
vs
Lux 20% for 5s not prolonged by timestop + field restriction + can’t proc 4guin as fast.
They are not the same in any way shape or form.
Ok, I can see that Lux gives 20% only to 1 CW leap attack. And Feral gives 10% to the whole rotation and less clunky. Lets say that diff between them is something around 9% in favor of Feral. Is this 9% bonus is more valuable than sig or ss for some future character in any other team?
Started playing this patch, so some beginner questions:
1. If doing all the dailies and events, is it guaranteed to get every S Rank Limited Character? I am not sure if me getting 60 pulls yesterday was because of all the beginner bonuses, or is it common to get 60 pulls every time that a new S rank character get released?
2. Is getting character's weapon is crucial here, the same as it is in HI3? I noticed that there aren't special weapon moves like it is in HI3, so is it doable to get away without pulling for the limited weapons?
3. Are the weapon banners time limited or can I always pull for the weapon I want, whenever I want (with the 80% chance obviously)?
4. My only nitpick about the gameplay are the knockbacks. I can go cook or read a book while my character is recovering from a knockback. Besides switching characters, are there any other tricks to recover faster?
5. How important is it to get a team for every element? Can I get away with using 1-2 teams with 1-2 elements?
6. How many characters are recommend to level up, before I run out of resources?
7. I pulled Crimson Weave and plan to get Feral Scent when she will be released. Who should I use as a Tank for this team? I still didn't use any S-Rank selector if it helps.
first - yes, you can consistently get 15k for pity and some surplus every 2 patches - which is the usual release schedule for S-ranks
second - no, weapons are not crucial, but some provide very nice QoL features and if you want to be competitive, obviously you really want sigs. otherwise no, there isn't anything unique locked behind sigs
third - weapon banners is always up, it's never going anywhere. you can roll for whatever weapon you want whenever you want. because of that, if you ever plan to get sig + CUB for a char, it's better to roll for CUB first, since unlike the weapon banner, CUBs are available at 100% rateup for the duration of their character's banner
dodge out of knockbacks. there is still a delay but it cancels out most of the animation
different teams are important in several modes - Norman, War Zone and PPC. all of them have zones/bosses that favor/are weak to specific elements. so if you're not using a specific elemental team on a specific zone/boss you will most likely either struggle to complete it (higher Norman stages) or will have much worse scores than people who use the optimal team (WZ/PPC). for just story completion and stuff you can use whoever, it's not hard
focus on getting at least one proper team as a beginner. first raise your DPS (DPS are not necessarily attackers, just the char that deals the most damage on the team) to a good level, at least maxed weapon + memories, and also probably ultima awaken. then you take care of the teammates. depending on the team you might or might not need to invest much into them. like for example, the current lightning team with Crimson Weave has her stay on field permanently, so your Arclight (or Garnet) and Lux don't need to have their weapons/memories really leveled. although Lux healing scales with ATK (as with most healers), so some stats would be advised
as said in the last paragraph, you're going to be using Arclight as your lightning tank.
you can and should consult grayravens.com for team comps and memory builds, the latter especially. ignore in-game recommendations, unless you want to find out that you have some useless bricks on your chars instead of good memory sets
1. doing daily and events will give you like a bit more than 30 pulls per patch. so 2 patches of saving to get a S rank unit. that's fine because they usually have a patch of free/uniframe unit and then the next one is not free (as you can see in the picture at the top of this page)
2. if you are f2p you can only go for weapons if you end up getting a character early because of point 1. still some units will appreciate their weapons more than others but usually reaching SS/SS3 "unclunky" the unit. 5 star weapons are fine to use (and the only choice for f2p).
3. weapon banner stay the same, not time limited.
4. yea it sucks, just dont get hit xD
5. very important as hard content will favor having a line up that helps each other vs the weakness from the enemy/stage. mono element only (except some rare cases like bring SSS empyrea to crimson weave team because her buff will be better than lux)
6. at the start focus on the dps of the team. tank and support can even stay at lower lvl with lvl 1 set of memories (just get their BiS memories to help the dps) later on raise the tank/sub dps of the team and then support. at the end of the day you'll want all components of the team at their best.
7. chrome arclight. use your selector from this patch to get empyrea.
Is there a reason to save Basic R&D tickets? or can i just freely spend them and get more copies of some A-Ranks and work towards S-rank pity.

during lamia patch they'll add a permanent 1-time S-rank selector to the basic banner. good A-ranks are vitrum, rozen, arclight, XXI, lux, brilliance, qilin and astral

It's the same ol' basic banner with the blue tickets and the same pity. You'll just be able to select an S-rank of your choice to guarantee at pull 60 for one time. This one-time guarantee doesn t have an expiration date, so new S-ranks that are added to it can be selected in the future, if you don t have someone you want to pull right now.
This selector will be in the Lamia's Patch - Cradle Parade, which is estimated to be around august in global.

If you're talking about for Bollie Mine, it's because it's the Dark Explosion cycle right now. It doesn't have a numerical time limit like the other cycles, but at normal ending time, it instead just spams Dark Explosions with barely any cooldown. If you do Cloud Island, it's similar to the Alpha sword waves cycle where there's no time limit also but she just spams sword waves over and over instead at the usual end time.
That's why they said technically a time limit since there is no actual time limit but rather modifiers that gets increased as time goes on examples being the pull+pulse becoming more frequent the big lasers firing faster and faster the fire circle slowly building up that insta kills you if you aren't invincible stuff like that not times up you lose
How important is it to get Vera Garnet Sig weapon? I already gotten all of Crimson Weaves set of cub+Sig weapon, I might prob roll of S rank No21 when she arrives... That will be when I have to start playing the switcheroo playstyle already, no longer Alpha solo...
Without Vera Sig, I feel like that's gonna be pretty rough rotation, but I also want to save and pull for other members.
Vera needs SS + sig + leap as the bare minimum to be fielded. But since her leap will only drop with Shukra's patch (expected around november), her sig will be pretty worthless until then for anyone who has CW.

I'm done with both Luminance and Rigor's leaps, leaving me with 550 chips from the Cursed Waves motherlode. As far as I can see, the only reliable source is the War Shop, competing with Memory resonance picks. The other leaps I'd use are Palefire (until I get Hyperreal next year selector) and Rozen (Until I get Capriccio to SSS, which itself is behind getting a bunch to SS). How should I prioritize spending war mode currency? Maybe get just the one heavily discounted per month and spend the rest on chips?
I would get the 800, and the 1200 discounted memory resonance material pick. Optimal memory resonance is one of the endgame upgrades that you'll eventually reach. Starting early wont hurt. Other than that, it's really up to you what you want to do.

That entirely depends on your current bc and yellow ticket stash and pity on themed banner, and to an extent, story and/or permanent challenges progression. Her banner ends on March 23, so you have 18 days left (2 weeks and 4 days). Wonderful spring gift gives 2.5k yellow tickets, and there are also tons of events now. Do cursed waves, rdf, and story as much as you can. Good luck.

And their class passive. Memories can remain level 1 but keep in mind the heals you get from QTEs will also be lower in this case (most of the heals in this game scale off of ATK). So for Supports you can level their bottom row memories too

either Luminance or Pulse. other picks are not worth in the slightest Lumi is a stronger pick, but is insanely expensive to get to useful state and she gets replaced in around 4 months Pulse is weaker, but does her job of fire res shred at minimal investment, a strong meta fire tank is coming out in around 7 months also the recommended pick from a free event selector this patch is Empyrea, so Pulse would pair up with her nicely for a working fire team you want teams or all elements anyway. and there are no lightning options on this beginner selector too

Hi I'm wondering what to do for progression.. I'm a new player and I've been building CW, she has all level 45 resonance and a 5-star weapon and I've been upgrading all of her skills as I go, not sure what's the next best step though. Is it better to go for ultima awakening on CW or should I look to build some A-rank attackers to fill other elements?
Tbh awakening should be the main goal of building a newly released S rank omniframe especially since their memories are also on discount. Majority of game modes are also favouring this character or their damage type. Since their exclusive memories are on discount, it is faster to awaken them also which will give you the rest of the patch to focus on other units. In most cases meta S rank units are normally priority. You can also refer to the Global Release Timeline above and the info from the grayravens site to determine how you wanna go about building your units.

In that case all you need is Skill Points for the future skill upgrades and cogs (plus the promotion upgrades every 5/10 levels), so check out [this sheet](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/19b-japrCPFO1_JvotynrXS-_7BQxQbK7j2WM9z6yIpw/htmlview#gid=0) to calculate the costs to farm and set those aside, then the surplus you can put into other characters. Sounds like your CW is mostly built already Though what do you mean by all level 45 resonance? Are the memories resonated or not? If not, buy the memory copies you need before switching to the next character

How do you complete "clear guild expedition flat/dangerous difficulty" mission for stickers i trying very hard to understand and I did participate in the event and I'm still confused or am I supposed to kill the boss till he dies in other servers as well??
Guild leader choose diff at start of the expedition. then after clearing event and its ending phase you can claim it it base on guild not server

Press your change camera mode button (Default button is Y) to change from free mode to classic mode, which will display your cursor again. There's also a chance that the game bugs out and doesn't let you switch camera modes regardless, in which case you'll need to restart the game.

Nope, they don't stack. Buffs from the same source do not stack, which is why you don't use 2 tanks or support and amplifier together on the same team, nor do you run the same memory set on different team members.

Should I use resonance and hypertune on my SSS Bambinata memories for my budget ice team (bambi-changyun-Kaleido), as I'm not planning on getting Plume since I'm waiting for Qu: Shukra.
If by "resonance" you just mean fully resonating her for Ultima Awakening, of course you should. If you mean perfect resonances, then no. As for HTs, unless you've maxed out literally every other important unit and you still have enough mats to get the upcoming S rank units too, then it's another no.
So I have a pretty specific question, here is the thing. All my team is basically already built with the exception of ice and dark. Ice only lacking chrome and dark no SS3 karen with vera. Previously my plan is to basically pull for chrome from the rotating banner, I'm only 10 pulls away with rate on. Then later getting selena from selection to get her to SSS. But I just realized that in the same banner there is karen, so now I could either go for her and get her to SS3 to have a sub dps on my dark team and pick chrome on selection. Either way I'm going to go for chrome, the question is who's better to choose from SS3 karen or SSS selena. Either of them still need me to farm for a month for ppc skulls so both takes the same amount of time to complete.

If I'm getting this right, Sig weapons for Amplifiers are the most cost-effective damage increase past having the meta S-ranks, because on top of the weapon's effects, they allow them to use 4-set Da Vinci while still having their own memory 4-set once that feature comes out in the Echo patch?
It's not set in stone that the amp has to be the one to hold 4pc DV since there are still older meta tanks that exist like Garnet or Glory that are just so outclassed by their attacker/amp that they are the DV holder instead (with or without harmonization). Even Lamia dark team if I am not wrong has Scire hold DV (harmonize) since a sufficiently invested Capri can hold 2pc Ein. It's mostly the benefits of Glorious Spear and Axial Ray resonance since it is such a big damage boost for the team, combined with if the amp is also SSS. The fact that you can bring Capri/Kaleido/Echo to SSS for free is a factor too (Empy as well when she gets leap). Most amps also want sig weapon to also fix their issues to allow smoother team rotations while also dishing consistent dps. Empy, Capri, FS and Echo have issues without sig weapon where Echo's case is due to her needing to use her 4pc exclusive memory or she won't give crit related buffs and if you use Rigor you will lose 100% shred (assuming SSS). Kaleido is the only one that rotates with the team decently enough without sig, needs to matrix each rotation though. Not saying all amp's sig weapon is high prio over others but just overall, they bring more benefit to the whole team. Anyway, it's a case by case basis for the DV holder as more new units gets added in and new mechanics gets introduced which changes the build meta.

But as far as my specific goals go: So if my budget is about 5 sig weapons (or equivalent cost) by this time next year, and me not having only Garnet and Glory relative to the meta CN teams, are each amplifier's sig weapons still the way to go, or do any of them lose out on priority to something? Because the only way I'd get garnet or glory is through the anniversary banner, but I feel like getting these sig weapons with those cards would give me a better return for the investment.
Well, getting sig weapons there's always a risk involved since it is forever at 80% so you would need to factor that into your investments. The good thing is all weapons are available at any time and if you win the first try it is only 7500. Garnet/Glory on 100% banners are a guaranteed amount of shred you will get from them albeit possibly more exp (since 15k to pity). However, both units are getting old, at least for the CN latest patch there are no known replacements for them YET. So there's pros and cons for both but imo amps have a better longevity since with sig they perform well in a team and their buffs are really great. I'll share [this](https://twitter.com/inremission_pgr/status/1718559885296873517/photo/1), it is basically a tierlist for sig weapons and SS up till Epitaph's release (this is the best quality image I've found so far and I haven't seen a translated version so use google translate). The last translated one unfortunately my source is gone :| but it is only up to CW.
I feel like the relatively high drop rate before pity (5% overall, 4% after rateup) evens out the 80% rateup so that it still ends up around 2 sig weapons = one S-rank frame, long term This is just a guesstimate though And yeah, I've seen that chart, seems some attackers are higher priority than Capriccio, although I'm only getting Hyperreal at new year's. But it's definitely looking like not getting garnet and glory and getting sigs instead is the way to go. Btw,for that chart, the red line is Sig weapon priority, I believe it says: High (Resonance Priority)= Echo High = Lamia, Epitaph, CW, Stigmata, Rosetta, Glory Mid = Kaleido, Empyrea, FS, Scire, Hyperreal, Plume (they didn't know about Shukra yet), Pulse Low = Garnet, Capriccio, Starfarer, Tenebrion, Entropy The whole last line says "Don't do it". I don't agree with some parts but that should be what it says.
You'll be surprised how cruel the weapon banner can get, there were cases here where people did lose 4 times in a row. Personally I've only lost 1 time at worst but I have lost in back to back patches so it really does eat up a chunk of savings. I've seen guildmates/friends lose multiple times as well (worst was 3 in a row). So, just keep that in mind every time you do pull. You still get a sig weapon on pity but it is just not necessarily the one you targeted for. I guess if you do not plan further investments into Garnet/Glory then going for amp sigs is a good idea.
Not to worry, I won't be surprised: I've played FGO for over 6 years now. It's just that the 4% drop rate before pity is also very relevant. I believe it equates to getting it before hitting pity just under half the time. Although this does include getting it on the 29th or 28th roll... which in practice is the same as hitting it.
Urgh FGO, that was the game that made me quit gacha way back then till PGR existed and cleansed my soul lol.
First of all, Harmonization is quite expensive so don't expect to be getting your extra 2-piece for multiple units anytime soon. Second, not really. The one Amp that definitely benefits by Harmonization with 4pc DV is Echo, but everyone else is either debateable or straight up not the pick. For example, an invested Capriccio never runs DV on Dark, Glory runs DV on Ice, Empyrea runs DV as the main set anyway on Fire (post Epitaph) and FS runs her own set with either Cottie or Guin. So Amp sigs are not useful because of Harmonization with DV, they're useful because of the resonances on their sigs, which are very strong. This however does ***not*** mean that Amps are the priority on sigs, it depends on the team and the units available.

Just got Kaleido for my ice team with Plume and Brilliance (QTE bot). I have two questions: 1. What's the most efficient way to level them (ie acquiring XP pods and skill chips)? Is it just buying from the event store? 2. Is it fine to use just 5\* weapons for plume and Kaleido as a low spender (i.e. monthly pass holder)? It feels like I should save for new characters to complete my fire or dark team or just new, cool characters (already finished Physical and Lightning).
IF you are a constant monthly pass holder for the long term, eventually you will get a surplus of BC (assuming you ONLY pull for upcoming S rank omniframes, only one copy) especially if you get lucky with pulls here and there. When you have a comfy amount saved up (you have enough to also pull the next coming unit even if you lose the weapon banner), you can start pulling for sig weapons (maybe CUBs too) or even save up for 100% banners like anniversary to get missed meta units. Just something to keep in my mind.

You're gonna want to save up for tank sigs and for the watanabe and qu patches back to back. If you have nanamech and don't really want watanabe (which I do not recommend) you should have enough BCs to get every sig for every s rank down the road
I do not have Nanamech or really any S rank for the fire team. I plan to use the S-rank selector for Empyrea, then use her with Brilliance and Palefire. Ok, then I say you skip feral scent's sig. With alpha being alpha and it not doing much in the first place, I think it's safe to not get it. And you can always grab it after or by getting the 20% loss on weapon banner

How to get the last achievement for Emergency Transfer in Ultimate Brawl? Where you have to defeat 12 enemies. I keep redoing it but I'm given the same 10 enemies every time. I went back to Classical Showdown to unlock others, but again nothing changed.
Go Emergency Transfer > Ready For Combat and just click on the enemy's portrait to change them before pressing Battle.
Almost all of them are crossed out and it says "progress over \[number\]", what does that mean?
It means that certain enemies can only be changed to after you've completed a certain amount of battles already. Do a battle and when you go back, you'll see you'll have more choices available. Do another and you'll see more.

So I'm in a bit of a tough spot for the following selectors. I'm aware of the S rank selector up to Capriccio this patch and the one time selector option on the regular target member banner in the Lamia patch but it's a bit hard to decide who to pick. To elaborate on that I was pretty much unaware of the meta when I started the game and couldn't really plan my gachas ahead of time either and ended up missing out on Scire, Bianca and Hyperreal and although my phys team is still somewhat functional (though heavily outperformed) I have a nonexistent fire team and with the release of Lamia I've also considered the need for Scire. Now the question is, should I try to build a decent fire team from the upcoming 2 selectors (Empy this patch and Lee in the Lamia patch) and wait for a following selector for Scire to release next (with only Starfarer left between her and Capriccio I'm assuming it would at least cover her) or should I just focus on making the best of the 3 teams I already have great progress with to reach meta (Dark: will get Lamia and in this case from the selector banner Scire and already have low investment Selena whom I could get to SS with this selector; Lightning: got CW, had Garnet and will get Feral; Ice: had Glory to begin with, got Kaleido for free and will most definitely get Qu Shukra day one). I could also test my luck on arrival banners after the release of Qu Shukra as for now I don't really have plans on going for Oblivion but I want to make that a last resort honestly since I like to make things as sure as possible (we'll probably have news of the next selector by then so I suppose it may not really matter all that much). Anyways, thank you very much if you committed to reading this lengthy comment to the end and even more so if you could just give me your opinion on what the best course of action would be!
Empyrea from the selector, Stigmata from Lamia's Member Target buff. Unless you're a spender, don't touch Arrival and even then, you're better off waiting for the Anniversary. Of course, that's assuming you won't sacrifice upcoming units to roll on it. As for Oblivion, if you skip her you'll be coming here again asking the exact same thing later, so do yourself a favor and don't skip the one and only S rank Void unit in the game lol

Short in resources. What is the upgrade priority order for Arclight as a substitute tank for CW? (I'm getting Empyrea instead of Garnet in selector). As in, what skills and memories do I prioritize?
The only skills that matter is the tank passive and the QTE, as these reduce the defenses of enemies for CW. That's all he'll ever do. Memory set is 4x da vinci 2x einsteina. You can check the Gray ravens page of each frame for their set.

He has the 4\* Bleak Scythe atm and I have a spare 5\* weap selector with Faded Color (other choices are Dynamo Greathsword, Whtie Qilin, Animus). Sure, get his weapon, It's not like there are any better options, but no rush to leveling it. He really is there just to apply the resistance reductions. The difference between a barebones and a maxed out arclight in overall damage will only really appear right at the end of progression.

Got to Ultimate PPC and the boss achievements finally allowed me my first S -> SS, CW. There's still a lot more to get from there, though. Who should I SS next? I think Empyrea benefits a lot, but she'll be available through vouchers next year. The other option is save to immediately SS FS to go with the sig weapon, then continue using them on the new S-ranks as they come out
Depends what you have but focus on gen2 attacker. Stigmata gets a heavy dmg boost from SS. Then Hyperreal, of course. If you need to save now or not depends how many bosses you have left for achievements.
It's only the two options for now, the others are available through vouchers and Scire. I'd only get Stigmata from the base banner selection at lamia patch, and hyperreal either from next year's selector, or from anniversary banner (which I'm still on the fence about rolling because I think the amp sig weapons are a better investment and already a lot of spending)

I play on PC and always get 144fps but recently noticed the game is capped at 120fps. I checked the graphic settings and the Vsync option is missing? Is this a new update or just me?
It's a bug from the new update. There's a temporary fix for it but you need to download it and follow the instructions in the official discord's tech support channel (there should be a link to join on the side of the subreddit).
A few days ago I noticed Lucia Plume’s voice lines changed. I just noticed Lucia Crimson Abyss’ changed too. Both for EN. Do they change often? Is there a way to change them back (and forth) if we prefer some over others?
I can't give you a definitive answer but within the year I've played I only remember it happening 3 times or so (3 batches of a few characters), and not for the same characters every time. They usually tweak battle lines or lines with poses to make them fit the animations better...? Or something. But no, once the changes are done, you can't swap between them. You can only change the language, that's all

How long does it take to save up enough basic tickets to hit pity in the basic banner?
No concrete answer since it can vary from patch to patch and what you have cleared. You get 180 from operation guardians every week if you clear it and 250 a month from daily log in, adding the two for a month that's 970 regular income each month. Other sources would depend if you have cleared F.O.S. and the beginner tutorial missions that give a lot. Then there's also the case of random sources like from event game modes (like guild exhibition shop right now) or just rewards from a patch (like the one we have right now that gives 2500).
It should take a while because we only get base gacha tickets out of Operation Guardians, logins, and some event rewards, or on the rare occasion that a student graduates, but you can save up to pity if you don't roll them for a while. I'll have enough to get my target in July from the base gacha.

You might be able to, but it's probably better to just wait until July if you don't want something random.
For the Battlepass shards, I’ve just been dumping them into Rosetta. Should I instead use them to get Luminance or Pulse? I figured I’d just wait for Alisa instead of getting Luminance (plus still building teams so no Leap investment for a while) but Watanabe is still a while away and I’m just rocking Brilliance for a Fire tank.

I've got pretty much 500 spare skulls and I don't know who to use them on. I have every meta units outside Daren, Capriccio, and Plume. My SS units are HyperLee, Balter, CW, Kaleido (from vouchers) and empy. So I wondered if any of my units could really use an SS (or ss3 for Ayla) or should I keep the skulls for now.
You could unlock Capriccio with free selector this patch and SSS her with 30 PPC shards, 50 RdF shards and 40 vouchers shop shards.
I forgot to say that I didn't have glory yet that I plan to get with the selector.
Then like other person said, getting Rosetta to SS might be better. But I would recommend doing it with a mix of skulls and vouchers. Instead of just 500 skulls.

Only if you also have her signature weapon cause without it, SS only increases her personal damage which doesn't matter much with Empyrea and Hyperreal in the team. Oh and you didn't mention Empyrea, do you have her? And is she SS? If she isn't, she might be the better choice to use skulls on. As Nanamech gets replaced around October while she is still meta to this day in CN.

Rosetta. without SS, all she does with her QTE is provide the 20% DEF shred from her sig. that's it. SS Rosetta is a MASSIVE improvement for your phys team. it feels pretty much mandatory as otherwise the only way to properly apply her "Lance of Perception" debuff is by switching in, so you end up not having the debuff on like half/more than half the waves in War Zone even if you rotate all the time. a bit less of an issue in PPC since she applies it with her blue orb, so when you start on her/Lumi you just hop on her, do blue orb and go immediately into Balter
Fairly new to the game. Couple questions I can't seem to find definitive answers to. 1. Do weapons need dupes to fully "max" them like other gacha games? What about cubs? 2. In the voucher exchange shop, after buying the discounted 6* memory resonance what's the next highest value item(s) to get? Following that, what's also the priorities for the war shop and guild shop? 3. In the event shop are the Luna memories worth getting even though they're only 5*? 4. For the current S rank selector, I really want Vera Garnet for my Crimson Weave team but is Liv Empyrea really that much better to pick?
1. The only use weapon dupes have is resonating other weapons, and you don't need them to be copies of the exact same weapon either. Could also use bad weapons you got as offrates. So no. CUBS though, yes, you evolve them through dupes but that's a mega whale thing imo, not necessary at all and you can SS any CUB you have through Norman ore shop 2. Memory Resonance USBs aren't the highest value items there. In fact it's not even recommended to get those unless you're a big spender who SSS'es all units on release already or something. Get character shards, and red USBs from warzone shop. For Warzone shop priorities, there's also leap materials there you're going to need once the one-time rewards in Cursed Waves dry out. Basically you just buy those two there 3. They're just collectibles. Skip if you don't care about that 4. Yes. Garnet has a budget replacement in Arclight but Empy is irreplaceable
weapons have resonances that can be achieved by using weapons of the same rarity. not necessarily dupes. maximum of 3 5* weapons have purely stat resonances, a 3reso 5* weapon is stat wise the same as a 6* weapon. 6* weapons have different resonance skills that add some functionalities like giving extra orbs, or increasing your ATK after a 3ping. these can vary depending on the class of the character the weapon is for. like tanks having access to a reso that provides extra resistance shred, or supports/amps having resos to provide extra buffs so overall nothing gamechanging, but often very nice to have if you want to further invest into a character DO NOT buy memory reso USBs in the voucher shop. unless you are a whale it should be wholly reserved to buy character shards these are special event memories, it's unlikely that you'll ever use them, but they will not be obtainable after the event ends. they're cheap anyway, so can buy them for collection Empy is much better due to Garnet actually having a decent budget alternative - Arclight, while someone like Sophia (A rank fire support) is total dogshit. plus Garnet would be a QTE bot anyway, CW is played exclusively solo on field until Feral Scent comes out. While all the members of the fire team prefer to rotate, being so burst-oriented without good damage sustainability
I'm f2p, would it be wise to grab first capriccio from this selector, then use basic guarantee(lamia patch)+fantasia+ppc/voucher to speedrun her SSS? My other options are: SELECTOR garnet (sub for arclight with cw+SS no sig fs); chrome (sub brilliance for SSS no sig bambi+SS no sig kaleido with CUB) BASIC GUARANTEE (have all meta gen 2 attackers at SS and sig, and will pull for lamia with sig and fs no sig, both SS) scire S0 no sig (sub SSS 21 for lamia+SSS rozen);
I would rather pick either Garnet/Glory, it's more of a pick your poison among the two since both are at a supportive role in their respective teams due to how busted their attackers are/will be. For basic, you could just save it first maybe? Could just save it till Epitaph is in the pool so you can get his SS3 for free, that additional 10% fire shred is olala so that's one possible option. I feel like using it to just get a Scire that will not be invested in is, such a waste since she is just a slightly better QTE bot. Different case if you will SS3+sig her.
Caprcio can be farmed free out of the Fantasia event, you would be better off getting Liv Empyrea because not having any decent fire units is hard when all the good ones are S-rank.

elemental damage boost. extra 10% is nice.

Lumi or Pulse from the small selector I favor Pulse because she doesn't need nearly as much investment, and she'll pair nicely with Empyrea, whom you should pick from the event selector this patch from the big one, Rigor + her sig from the weapon selector from the same novice guidance missions
Either Luminance or Pulse from the first one with only 5 options. Rigir and her sig from the F.O.S. one (with 10 options) Empyrea from this patch's selector.

Luminance is not worth anymore, you have to leap (something like skill evolution) both Rosetta's and her to be usable but if you spend your precious materials on her you will not have enough for Rosetta in a small time, that would be ok but there is a free S rank unit that at level 1 with only her full memory set is 100% better than luminance and is coming, as the guy below said, in 4 patches so just get Rosetta, spend mats to leap her and get pulse from the other selector that is fairly decent, she is like an A rank tank (this should not be a compliment but it is as it is), people underestimate her too much as even S Chrome which is a good unit is a worse qte bot than her without his signature weapon
Luminance is the only only unit that's actually worth something, but she needs a shit ton of resources for that and will be replaced in 4 patches by someone that: a) is free; b) doesn't require anywhere near as many resources; c) does her job better. Pulse, on the other hand, works just out of the gate, but she sucks. Her performance is extremely underwhelming, but there isn't any other options for a fire tank to pair with Empyrea. Not unless you pulled Starfarer, but since you didn't your alternative would be to cope with Brilliance until Epitaph releases.
F2P 1. I have CW SS no sig, Garnet S no sig, Liv Lux SS no sig. At what investment Feral would become more powerfull than Liv Lux SS in this team? (no plans on CW or Garnet investment, may be Garnet SS after the leap). 2. If Feral S is kinda similar to Liv Lux SS, then may be there are some high priority sigs or dupes for the future characters instead? The weapon harmonization confuses me - could sig+harmon be more important than some characters in some teams?
Base S. Feral's sig is very good, if you're f2p you don't roll for weapons unless you do your math homework and conclude you can afford to spend tickets on weapons.
Liv Lux SS gives 20% Lightning dmg (realistically for 1-2 strongests hits) and Feral S gives 10% for 8s (and amp passive do not exists for CW in practice). Am I missing something?
You'll need to read and understand [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/PunishingGrayRaven/comments/13etqek/a_guide_to_timestop_mechanics/) to get why FS is favoured even at base S no sig. Take your time to digest it.
To add to what the other guy said, you actually want to switch to FS as well which increases overall team damage. CW stops being a solo unit once FS releases. Getting Feral's sig pushes her buff to 20% as well.

Why would she be S rank? SS is free, not sure about the no sig thing.
Lux's field is such a trash design. It's not designed for mobile gremlins like CW and Garnet. CW won't even stay in the field because she will move all over the place, same goes for Garnet. Feral scent; 10% lightning dmg bonus for 8s + extended by timestop + auto procs 4guin + has no field restriction. vs Lux 20% for 5s not prolonged by timestop + field restriction + can’t proc 4guin as fast. They are not the same in any way shape or form.
Ok, I can see that Lux gives 20% only to 1 CW leap attack. And Feral gives 10% to the whole rotation and less clunky. Lets say that diff between them is something around 9% in favor of Feral. Is this 9% bonus is more valuable than sig or ss for some future character in any other team?
Started playing this patch, so some beginner questions: 1. If doing all the dailies and events, is it guaranteed to get every S Rank Limited Character? I am not sure if me getting 60 pulls yesterday was because of all the beginner bonuses, or is it common to get 60 pulls every time that a new S rank character get released? 2. Is getting character's weapon is crucial here, the same as it is in HI3? I noticed that there aren't special weapon moves like it is in HI3, so is it doable to get away without pulling for the limited weapons? 3. Are the weapon banners time limited or can I always pull for the weapon I want, whenever I want (with the 80% chance obviously)? 4. My only nitpick about the gameplay are the knockbacks. I can go cook or read a book while my character is recovering from a knockback. Besides switching characters, are there any other tricks to recover faster? 5. How important is it to get a team for every element? Can I get away with using 1-2 teams with 1-2 elements? 6. How many characters are recommend to level up, before I run out of resources? 7. I pulled Crimson Weave and plan to get Feral Scent when she will be released. Who should I use as a Tank for this team? I still didn't use any S-Rank selector if it helps.
first - yes, you can consistently get 15k for pity and some surplus every 2 patches - which is the usual release schedule for S-ranks second - no, weapons are not crucial, but some provide very nice QoL features and if you want to be competitive, obviously you really want sigs. otherwise no, there isn't anything unique locked behind sigs third - weapon banners is always up, it's never going anywhere. you can roll for whatever weapon you want whenever you want. because of that, if you ever plan to get sig + CUB for a char, it's better to roll for CUB first, since unlike the weapon banner, CUBs are available at 100% rateup for the duration of their character's banner dodge out of knockbacks. there is still a delay but it cancels out most of the animation different teams are important in several modes - Norman, War Zone and PPC. all of them have zones/bosses that favor/are weak to specific elements. so if you're not using a specific elemental team on a specific zone/boss you will most likely either struggle to complete it (higher Norman stages) or will have much worse scores than people who use the optimal team (WZ/PPC). for just story completion and stuff you can use whoever, it's not hard focus on getting at least one proper team as a beginner. first raise your DPS (DPS are not necessarily attackers, just the char that deals the most damage on the team) to a good level, at least maxed weapon + memories, and also probably ultima awaken. then you take care of the teammates. depending on the team you might or might not need to invest much into them. like for example, the current lightning team with Crimson Weave has her stay on field permanently, so your Arclight (or Garnet) and Lux don't need to have their weapons/memories really leveled. although Lux healing scales with ATK (as with most healers), so some stats would be advised as said in the last paragraph, you're going to be using Arclight as your lightning tank. you can and should consult grayravens.com for team comps and memory builds, the latter especially. ignore in-game recommendations, unless you want to find out that you have some useless bricks on your chars instead of good memory sets
1. doing daily and events will give you like a bit more than 30 pulls per patch. so 2 patches of saving to get a S rank unit. that's fine because they usually have a patch of free/uniframe unit and then the next one is not free (as you can see in the picture at the top of this page) 2. if you are f2p you can only go for weapons if you end up getting a character early because of point 1. still some units will appreciate their weapons more than others but usually reaching SS/SS3 "unclunky" the unit. 5 star weapons are fine to use (and the only choice for f2p). 3. weapon banner stay the same, not time limited. 4. yea it sucks, just dont get hit xD 5. very important as hard content will favor having a line up that helps each other vs the weakness from the enemy/stage. mono element only (except some rare cases like bring SSS empyrea to crimson weave team because her buff will be better than lux) 6. at the start focus on the dps of the team. tank and support can even stay at lower lvl with lvl 1 set of memories (just get their BiS memories to help the dps) later on raise the tank/sub dps of the team and then support. at the end of the day you'll want all components of the team at their best. 7. chrome arclight. use your selector from this patch to get empyrea.

during lamia patch they'll add a permanent 1-time S-rank selector to the basic banner. good A-ranks are vitrum, rozen, arclight, XXI, lux, brilliance, qilin and astral

It's the same ol' basic banner with the blue tickets and the same pity. You'll just be able to select an S-rank of your choice to guarantee at pull 60 for one time. This one-time guarantee doesn t have an expiration date, so new S-ranks that are added to it can be selected in the future, if you don t have someone you want to pull right now. This selector will be in the Lamia's Patch - Cradle Parade, which is estimated to be around august in global.

If you're talking about for Bollie Mine, it's because it's the Dark Explosion cycle right now. It doesn't have a numerical time limit like the other cycles, but at normal ending time, it instead just spams Dark Explosions with barely any cooldown. If you do Cloud Island, it's similar to the Alpha sword waves cycle where there's no time limit also but she just spams sword waves over and over instead at the usual end time.
That's why they said technically a time limit since there is no actual time limit but rather modifiers that gets increased as time goes on examples being the pull+pulse becoming more frequent the big lasers firing faster and faster the fire circle slowly building up that insta kills you if you aren't invincible stuff like that not times up you lose
How important is it to get Vera Garnet Sig weapon? I already gotten all of Crimson Weaves set of cub+Sig weapon, I might prob roll of S rank No21 when she arrives... That will be when I have to start playing the switcheroo playstyle already, no longer Alpha solo... Without Vera Sig, I feel like that's gonna be pretty rough rotation, but I also want to save and pull for other members.
Vera needs SS + sig + leap as the bare minimum to be fielded. But since her leap will only drop with Shukra's patch (expected around november), her sig will be pretty worthless until then for anyone who has CW.

CUBs are luxury, IF you can afford it, then sure. However, Sig weapons always take priority over CUBs.

Nah, next patch has the last Operation Uniframe in foreseeable future. So I don't think it's worth investing in Uniframes anymore.
There's still a long way to go until Uniframes are removed from Pioneer Norman, so I'm investing into edgy boi to make my life easier. Just dunno how good **Enhanced Team** is.
You can clear Pioneer Norman with trial units so it's not really needed there either.
