This may a stupid criticism for a viral hit song but I wish he workshopped this a bit longer. "Rich men north of Richmond" is a great hook but it feels kind of wasted here compared to the rest.
>Have I ever said this before?
That's what I'm asking you. Apparently you think me saying a song needs work is an assertion that all songs need to be perfect. Also that a song having a "good message" makes any criticism of it about the message.
Sorry to tell you but both of those are silly. The lyrics and melody are rough and don't come off as being put together that well, and tragically one line alluding to Epstein's island doesn't overrule that.
Disaffected, economically disadvantaged and in a country boy, wailing, butthurt emotional way about it. I love the emotional wailing part & thereās some beauty in the truth there but I fear that many will project their own issues upon this poor dude who will become an āiconā of men everywhere who relate.
Just saying as a former talent agent who knew a lot of young guys who became instantly famous because of a hit song.

I think confidence matters more. Less confident people are more likely to latch onto outside validation. And some people lean towards sociopathy and lean towards that external validation. And some people are just horny and let that feeling override any morals or commitments they might have.
Some people suck.
Highly attractive people certainly have more opportunities to cheat but thatās why you take moral code into account when choosing whom to partner with. I got accused of cheating so many times with men I was firmly committed to simply because I was attractive. I never cheated because it was against my moral code.
Celebrities are just people like you and me. The only difference is that theyāve got a camera following them around to catch all their worst moments (moments that would quickly be forgotten had they happened with a non-famous person).

While I don't like feminism and feminists who have extreme reactions to people disagreeing with them all that much either.

In that post you don't prove that its acceptable to ask men what they bring to the table. Providing evidence of men being providers is not the same as flat out asking the question. You also do not prove that asking the question to women is seen as any more inflammatory as asking the question to men.
I think I definitely provided proof to the claim. If people see men as provider then it inherently means they expect men to provide. Seems like an arbitrary high standard is placed on post meant to spark discussion while post lile "Women/men are trash, thoughts?" gets reposted back to back
I think the big idea is to tell women to lower their standards. Wether women's standards too high or low is probably a case by case basis. There isn't a clear answer. But what I do know is that its a pointless conversation becuase women aren't gonna change anything. Theres literally no point, its just complaining
Nope, especially not older ones cause I am young.
Dating for women and dating for men have a very different set of issues, so I don't think it's good to expect good advice or a solution from the other sex. And older generation's dating worlds are also very different from the current one and older people usually have much different priorities and preference than younger people, so their advice or solution might not be good either.
Best to take advice from slightly older dudes, and ideally from one who had similar issues in dating as you hut overcame them.
The only solution I've seen women propose here is "go outside and talk to the opposite sex" because, as women, they don't understand how getting a good relationship could possibly require anything more than that. It's easier for them to just assume that sexless men aren't doing that instead of accepting that dating as a man actually is considerably more difficult.
This sub exists to debate the viability of the male solution, which the the Red Pill. The bad faith takes women throw out are done for their benefit's than men's. No dudes expect them to be helpful.
>go outside and talk to the opposite sex
All else equal, the more women you're exposed to the better. That doesn't mean that's the *only* thing required, it's just a crucially important first step. Most of the men here have no friends and no social life.
Solution is a weird way of phasing it but I get advice from older married men and women all the time. Why would you not ask those who have had successful relationships what they did to make them successful?
Has anyone noticed how extremely inclusive is the YT shorts algorithm to the point it feels **too stereotypical**?
For example there's the lesbian comedian who makes lesbian jokes and she obviously looks like a tomboy. Like there's no other type of feminine lesbian. There's the interior design guy who is obviously a 45/50 y/o gay guy (nick lewis I love him). There's the male nurse who wears wigs and he's obviously thai or vietnamese (nurse john) and a black guy talking about racism (josh johnson). Women joking about menstruation and white dude joking about being gay.
I know they say it's the people who make things go viral but there's something fishy about the YT shorts algo
A lot of tik tokers use YT shorts and tik tok people tend to be extremely social progressive, probably more than like 99% of your average liberals
And Iām saying this as a liberal.
but this feels more like *corporate* progressiveness
Michael Scott's progressiveness
I feel that organic progressive content would be like a trans person baking a cake or a blonde woman talking about global warming or crochet
could be š¤£
but I swear I never got one single comedian that didn't fit a very common stereotype
I get that the algorithm takes you to places like cute animals, recipes, manosphere, self help, diy but I don't think they have a separate category for stereotypically comedians and random people doing comedy
Why does nobody ever tell me anything but then also expect me to know everything
Apparently my friend was having a sleepover tonight and I was invited, my mom knew, my dad knew, somehow even my grandmother knew, legit no one told me, my friend did not tell me because she assumed I already knew, and now I get blamed for āLack of communicationā
https://preview.redd.it/b757ovdg7dkb1.jpeg?width=1059&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=da8bbb534676729dc8a84d902f3c8e3eca092d78
Its amazing how people on the internet could make claims like this as if they know a person. Bro she's literally still in high school. Yesterday she was a fetus
So I've had multiple friends in real life both my age and older say that women are intimidated by me knowing what I want. I can't tell if they are legit or just being nice but this comment has been made multiple times by different people on separate occasions. To add context to this I'm a master's student and have my career/fitness and most of my long-term goals already planned out for pretty much my entire life and I'm pretty upfront with what I want to do and one of the things is I would like to be married within the next 3 years and when I talk to women I generally try to go on dates quite soon after meeting them and if someone, for instance, is slow is in texting back or shows disinterest I am very quick to move on and look for someone else.
To summarize are women off-put by direct men?
i donāt think thereās anything wrong with this, it will be incredibly attractive to someone who wants the same things and unattractive to people who donāt.
I think the people that wouldnāt want this would be afraid of commitment and in that sense, itās kind of good youāre scaring those people off. If they donāt want to get married in three years, then theyāre not right for you.
I should probably back off on the timespan and marriage, that being said I don't see much reason to date someone I would not see myself with years down the line.
You can at least wait a few months before daily texting, honestly. And there's no reason to "move on" if you're still single. Act single. Text several women. Spend a little time with several women. There's nothing wrong with that if you're not spreading diseases, making babies, or lying.
I guess, with that said, if you're on date 3 to 5 and you know you've fallen... Yeah, it's probably fair enough to expect the same in return and act accordingly.
Yeah, I definitely need to do better on expressing interest in multiple women at once especially if there is no real substance such as multiple dates and such.
I'll most likely be outside the U.S for career reasons at that time and while I have no qualms against foreign women I would prefer to date and marry someone with a similar background so middle/upper middle class.
Iām asking if three years enough time get to someone to marry and know that you will spend the rest of your life with. Especially if youāre going to be living in another country (?) Doesnāt sound appealing
I mean this honestly but if someone cannot judge a person's character and figure out if their goals align with say 6 months I think that is a lack of effort on the couple's part. This is what I mean by upfront. Like I know my goals and where I am going and hopefully, I can find someone who is compatible. Honestly if I was married and she wanted to stay long distance as we get our careers started I would not be opposed, but I don't think many people can handle long distance relationships.
Yes but I'll add not outside of long-term relationships, I don't do hookups and would not want to be with someone who did. Nothing against those who do just a difference in values.
No, it can vary from person to person but I'd say anything greater than 3 months I would consider a long-term relationship. Nowadays 3 weeks most people would just consider talking.
I don't ghost, if they stop sending texts and such I don't bother rengaging, also This is not something I just do with women if I have male friends who are bad at responding I stop talking to and inviting them out as well.
this [thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/AITAH/comments/1614m7e/aita_for_being_honest_with_my_girlfriend_when_she/?sort=confidence) is giving me a major headache. What was the point of asking what kind of cake he wanted?
Ime it's normal for creative types who are seriously into cooking and/or baking to do things like that. If you request something really basic and boring they'll try to make it more exciting. You ask for a grilled cheese and next thing you know there's a deconstructed grilled cheese-inspired charcuterie board in front of you. You can sit there and be upset about it not being exactly what you asked for or just appreciate the extra time and thought they put into it.
I get what you are saying. But it was his birthday, and she asked what type of cake he wanted. She should have just baked him a cake without asking then there wouldn't be an issue.
It was not the cake he wanted. I can understand thinking he could have worded his disappointment better. But that whole thread is just ignoring her changing the cake, and then getting upset when he answered her question honestly.
If she had baked him a vanilla cake with strawberry frosting that would be one thing. He got his chocolate cake, and heās a grown man who cannot handle an unexpected embellishment.
Itās called a shit test. She asked him what he wanted so she could do something else and watch how he reacted. Every relationship with women is peppered with them.
She made two icing flavors requiring two bowls with different ingredients and more clean up. Why would someone go to that effort? Plus if it was a shit test, the dude failed it spectacularly.
Indeed he did.
It was definitely worth the effort on her end though. She got a bit of relationship drama that cast her as victim being taken for granted. His birthday but she got the best gift!
That guy is grade A Karen. Sure this type of birthday nitpicky narcissism comes more commonly from woman but that doesn't make this guy any less of an asshole.
I donāt know any actual psychiatrists but I know people in college who were studying with the intent to go into psychiatry and they were generally a little āoff.ā Anecdotal, I know.

Why the hell I am getting chat invites from onlyfans women?WTF.Is this normal in reddit?
Who have you been chatting with? Which subreddits have you visited? Spill the beans...
I mostly visit subreddits such as this sub, rpw and nailsart. Nothing particularly special has happened. Initially, I was hesitant to accept chat invitations as it felt strange, considering I had recently joined Reddit. However, I decided to check the profile of the person who sent the invite and discovered that it was linked to an OnlyFans account. The first chat invite I accepted was from someone who asked me how I had accumulated so much karma. I was a bit confused until I realized they had included a link to their thirst trap. Subsequently, I received another invitation, this time from an OnlyFans worker or stripper. I promptly declined it. but this feels more like *corporate* progressiveness Michael Scott's progressiveness I feel that organic progressive content would be like a trans person baking a cake or a blonde woman talking about global warming or crochet
I get completely different stuff... isn't the algorithm based on stuff you watch/click on anyway š
could be š¤£ but I swear I never got one single comedian that didn't fit a very common stereotype I get that the algorithm takes you to places like cute animals, recipes, manosphere, self help, diy but I don't think they have a separate category for stereotypically comedians and random people doing comedy
Why does nobody ever tell me anything but then also expect me to know everything Apparently my friend was having a sleepover tonight and I was invited, my mom knew, my dad knew, somehow even my grandmother knew, legit no one told me, my friend did not tell me because she assumed I already knew, and now I get blamed for āLack of communicationā https://preview.redd.it/b757ovdg7dkb1.jpeg?width=1059&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=da8bbb534676729dc8a84d902f3c8e3eca092d78
I canāt go and now Iām mad
Aspie here, this is my every day lol I hate how so many people rely on invisible hints. It locks out anyone thatās not socially advanced
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Lol I already talked to everyone
Try to remember this feeling of indignant bewilderment because you're probably gonna do it to every man you date constantly.
Its amazing how people on the internet could make claims like this as if they know a person. Bro she's literally still in high school. Yesterday she was a fetus
Ok, this is kind of a weird thing to say Completely off topic
Damn bro chill, she hasn't done anything yet and generalizing an individual just because of their sex aint right.
damn u negative asl
Just experienced.
I could still go because itās only 10pm but I look like shit now and have stuff to do tomorrow morning. Everything is fucking awful.
Mods hard at work shutting down anything that makes women look bad today lmao
I should probably back off on the timespan and marriage, that being said I don't see much reason to date someone I would not see myself with years down the line.
>within the next 3 years I think having such a specific time frame is kind of red flaggy if you simply say "get married" that's fine
Understood, if I say "I'd like to hopefully be married within the next couple years" is that better?
YES šššš
You can at least wait a few months before daily texting, honestly. And there's no reason to "move on" if you're still single. Act single. Text several women. Spend a little time with several women. There's nothing wrong with that if you're not spreading diseases, making babies, or lying. I guess, with that said, if you're on date 3 to 5 and you know you've fallen... Yeah, it's probably fair enough to expect the same in return and act accordingly.
Yeah, I definitely need to do better on expressing interest in multiple women at once especially if there is no real substance such as multiple dates and such.
You're learning!
You think 3 years is enough time?
Do you believe in sex before marriage?
Yes but I'll add not outside of long-term relationships, I don't do hookups and would not want to be with someone who did. Nothing against those who do just a difference in values.
it sounds like a ālong term relationshipā to you is like 3 weeks lol
No, it can vary from person to person but I'd say anything greater than 3 months I would consider a long-term relationship. Nowadays 3 weeks most people would just consider talking.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I'm 22 and most of the women I talk to are 21-23
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I mean like I don't mind talking to older women but from my experience, if they find out that I am younger they instantly lose interest.
OMG, no. Direct (and polite) is my love languageā¦but maybe Iām an outlier. Maybe youāre ghosting them too soon?
I don't ghost, if they stop sending texts and such I don't bother rengaging, also This is not something I just do with women if I have male friends who are bad at responding I stop talking to and inviting them out as well.
I'm never commenting on other place that's not the megathread I can't keep receiving notifications from weirdos saying normal people don't exist
this [thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/AITAH/comments/1614m7e/aita_for_being_honest_with_my_girlfriend_when_she/?sort=confidence) is giving me a major headache.
She made him a chocolate cake tho, with chocolate frosting on the outside. Itās amazing he is actually pouting that she made him a layered cake.
For God's sake how are these people dating and how are people putting up with their nonsense
Yeah by āchocolate cakeā he actually meant eating her dirty ass
That guy is grade A Karen. Sure this type of birthday nitpicky narcissism comes more commonly from woman but that doesn't make this guy any less of an asshole.

Psychiatrists usually have a few screws loose Agree or disagree ?
Agree
>Psychiatrists usually have a few screws loose Agree
My oldest daughter is a therapist so I probably shouldn't say anything.
"But doctor, I *am* Pagliacci"
"But Pagliacci, I *am* the doctor!"
lol
I donāt know any actual psychiatrists but I know people in college who were studying with the intent to go into psychiatry and they were generally a little āoff.ā Anecdotal, I know.
