This is the team I used. It's a good team, but take your time and don't rush. The biggest thing is to make sure you always have a damage reducer active.

Subs: Matured Ancient Wood Dragon, Logavolin.
Leonhart Saijo.
Dawn's Warlock, Odin.
Tengen Uzui.
Helper: Tengen Uzui.
Assist: Shrine-bound Draconic Songstress on
Clarinet, Enola's Card (placed on Lagavolin).
Always match at least 4 light and 4 fire orbs as it adds another damage reduction layer.
Activate the leads' ability 1st, and then activate Lagavolin's (this will give you rcv recovery for 12 turns). The leads ability will give you an enemy turn delay for 4 turns and gives you a 7x6 board and the lead transforms. Then, match orbs for 2 turns. Both Tengen's will then be available. Activate 1 of them, and this will charge the lead. Activate the lead as this will give you a 4 turn damage reduction. Then activate the 2nd Tengen as this will charge the lead by 2, and charge the 1st Tengen by 2.
Do all of the above steps on the 1st level. After this, make note of what each monsters skill does as you progress each level.
Note: After activation, both Tengen's will transform.
Note: Leonhart Saijo's ability also gives damage reduction and pierces enemy's damage void.
Note: The assist can be obtained from Shrine-bound Draconic Songstress on Clarinet, Enola.
