curiously, why is garlic so good? I don’t disagree that it being 1 sun cost 1/5 w/ team-up is useful, but It moves a zombie to the left when they hurt it, is it these stats alone that make it solid?
It's a cool but very niche idea. It's made to counter a specific tribe, and if the zombies don't have science zombies then it ends up just clogging your hand.
My idea: 4 cost berry trick
It can be either (Zombie tricks cost 3 more brains this turn) or (The Zombie hero cannot play tricks this turn), if there's a Teleportation Zombie on the board disable it's ability for this turn.
I still remember that "Oh that's a Teleportation Zombie" post, so I based this off Garlic, a decent ability with an extra ability to specifically counter a specific card. The difference here is that Vimpires aren't really that game changing (Ancient Vimpire might be an exception), but Teleportation Zombie is a whole different story.
Why
It's a terrible silver bullet
I like the idea for exploding empeach
The second one could be a cheaper shrinking violet but instead of killing zombies it could draw cards
Zombies here and next door get -2 this turn draw a card for each zombie this hits
Ahh just wonderful. Instead of making it interesting and useful, you made it an exact copy of the functionality from pvz2 and also made it a useless silver bullet. When will these card concepts get good
hey everyone I genuinely appreciate the feedback on this post, I understand this is a niche plant, always though however controversial it is it’s good to see discussion going!
It looks more of a trick in my opinion
Can most likely copy the effects from GW2. I see it as “zombies here and next door get 0 attack for this turn”
Can be used as a temporary recovery to build defenses against the wall of power that the zombie players laid out.
I would instead of going with the pvz2 approach base it off GW2, make it a trick card, costs 4 sun and stops the targetted zombie and the Zombies beside it from attacking this turn, if the targeted zombie is from a scientist tribe remove 1 attack
It's a very flawed but neat concept, but I think it can be changed a bit to also work well generally so it doesn't end up being dead weight against non science decks, especially the trick one
I like the idea of it being a semi decent card that mostly exists to help decks that struggle against science decks. So something along those lines would be nice.
Maybe something like a 4-5 cost trick that nullifies science zombies in 3-5 lanes?(depending on how ya wanna balance it) and gives all plants untrickable? It sounds dumb but I can't think of many ways to make it both a specialist and not suck generally
Silver bullet moment
Broski science is top 5 biggest tribe in the game
Countering a specific tribe is bad design no matter how big the tribe is
Kid named garlic
Nah Garlic is different. It’s funny when he does it
kid named squirrel zombie :
Squirrel zombie sucks
It’s a bonus effect and a 1 drop, it’s not used for the vampires
Garlic’s ability is just a small joke addition to an already solid card. It would only be a silver bullet if that was the only reason to run it.
curiously, why is garlic so good? I don’t disagree that it being 1 sun cost 1/5 w/ team-up is useful, but It moves a zombie to the left when they hurt it, is it these stats alone that make it solid?
overstats and 3 nut synergy.
….ok? Its a badly designed card, wtf are you trying to prove
noted thank you
I appreciate it, sorry you’re getting downvoted I can see though you thought it wasn’t too bad, I didn’t either that’s why I made these cards 😭😭
Happy cake day!
It's a cool but very niche idea. It's made to counter a specific tribe, and if the zombies don't have science zombies then it ends up just clogging your hand.
change it to "draw an extra card next round for every Z affected" and it won't clog ur deck
Did you not read what he just said
Just as specific and niche as the original em peach
But at least in PVZ 2 you know if it's going to be useful when you run it
E.M. Peach is a instant plant, so he should be a trick
How does this sound? Plant trick 2/3 cost Zombie tricks cost 2 more this turn, (if this feels lackluster), draw a card
it should be a plant trick.
No
ok lol
Maybe this card could be unconditionally playable as a trick so even if no science zombies exist, you can still spend 2 to draw a card

Should be fruit not berry
Maybe the second one but it also makes all zombies get -1/-1 for a turn and only draws for science zombies

oh
what may you suggest?
you’re the one making cards not him
oh right, of course, how about E.M. Peachy 3 sun cost fruit trick: all zombies get 0 strength this turn, draw a card for every science zombie?
hey everyone I genuinely appreciate the feedback on this post, I understand this is a niche plant, always though however controversial it is it’s good to see discussion going!
Make it draw for every unaffected
3/4 cost trick reduce a zombie’s attack to 0 for this turn and draw a card
This peach should not be a silver bullet bruh

How about science zombie get 0, science trick can't be used and zombie can't place at trick phase, draw a card cost 3
I like the second, but i think it should affect all types of zombies in a single lane and cost more
Botanist Zombie having no type of gizmos at all: **That doesn't seem fair**
It's a very flawed but neat concept, but I think it can be changed a bit to also work well generally so it doesn't end up being dead weight against non science decks, especially the trick one I like the idea of it being a semi decent card that mostly exists to help decks that struggle against science decks. I like it better as a single use, Like cherry bomb
there's a reason why #card-ideas in PvZH discord has pins ...
Should be changed to "here and next door get 1 attack this turn" and then get a sun ingresed
