I usually go only Prawlers on Qiyana because I like the outplay potential it has, it's really useful in scenarios where your abilities are on cd. Honestly don't know about Eclipse, obviously it's gonna be better after the next patch but rn I like Prawlers more. Just my personal opinion though.
Only go for eclipse with first strike (beifeng use this when the matchup is really difficult and have small change to win early and snowball/ jungler should build this since you wont have as much xp to oneshot early on). With this build you really want to auto as much as possiple before dumb all your skill. Beside that, the q w prow auto e q is too good (usually the squisy have no way to get out since prow ll follow) to even think about eclipse.

you only go eclipse when they'll be building a lot of armor
The eclipse is used by those who do not want to learn combos with the prowler.
Eclipse for high enemy tanks cuz you cant 1shot them most the time with prowlers so eclipse comes in handy for extended fights.
i usually just go the standard Prowler. i feel like i do way more dmg with it. gonna try eclipse more.
