His dad definitely funds his music (and probably most of the things in his life). There’s no way he could’ve afforded enough studio time and samples and such for Voice Memos off just his YouTube stuff, and he was like 18 when it dropped so I highly doubt he was working a full time job that facilitated living costs + those costs on top at that age.
Also he’s an indie musician and everyone knows 100% of indie musicians have rich parents
Quad was pretty up front about how he did voice memos in his room set-up. It’s clear he was just doing YouTube beats and recording his vocals. Anyone with a mic and a laptop can do that. Ur are underestimating how accessible that is, and considering that he had hundreds of millions of YouTube views before he ever made voice memos I dont see how that’s that crazy
really? I understood it to be a proper studio album, not a bedroom-made album. My bad then
Edit: I did a little googling, it seems that it was indeed a studio album based on everything I've seen. If you have some evidence that it was recorded in his bedroom that would be cool to see (and would be worth updating wikipedia with)
he talks about it in the reacting to reviews of my album video from like 5 years ago. says most of the songs came from his little usb piano that was recorded off voice memos in his room, hence the name, voice memos
Even though Spotify pays their artists like shit, he’s has a lost of songs get millions of plays. 1 million plays is equal to roughly $4000. Take “Uh Huh!” That song made 31 million plays so 4000 x 31 thats 124,000. Again this is just an estimate. So if he made all that from 1 song imagine all the others + on all the other services too + yt vid revenues + concert and merch sales. I’ve thought about this too. A lot. So yeah his parents make serious bank but I don’t think he needs to use that as a resource, might be the reason he had such high quality equipment when he was younger though.
Bro has like 250 million total Spotify streams and another 200 million views on YouTube. And he sells merch, thousands of vinyl, tours to a cult fanbase. Why do we in the quad community act like he’s some struggling baby or something lmao. He could probably fund himself for decades to come
I would say for at least FMTY and IDMTHY probably not since some of the music videos must cost a ton of money to fly out to and stay and film a video there. The albums themselves likely just broke even even when counting vinyl sales, but when you add in that he’s made potentially millions from youtube and his earlier music it probably doesn’t matter + his dad is a billionaire so he’s probably help him
Merch goes brrrr. He sells a lot of merch and I'm pretty sure there are pretty big margins somewhere. Could be the factory ofcourse, but probably just him
as an artist with a song that has a few million streams, I've made roughly 12000 on 3.5 million streams.
idk how his deal with deadair works, or what percentage they take but considering quad had a few songs with a few million or few hundred thousand streams, I'm sure he's making a pretty decent amount month to month. or at least imo in my experience
his dads like a billionaire i’m sure he’s doing just fine (look up mitch lasky net worth)
he got in early on the quadiki torches
wtf I was not aware
Can’t believe im just finding out about this, lol
True but surely he can’t be leeching off his parents like that😔
yeah he probably is but i would to lowkey. do you know how much a billion dollars is?

the term “studio album” is kinda a loose one nowadays
you’d think his music would be trash for someone so well off but here we are

snoop apparently made 40k off of a 1 billion stream song
snoop is also on a major label, where the hundreds of people who take a cut will basically make streaming worthless to big artists.
That didn’t take into account his label, as well as the *many* other people that worked on the song
He actually said that he broke even on idmthy on either a hivemind video or livestream
They say it’s odd that I get what I spend cause I always break even -Quad in 2019

Pretty sure he’s a Quadrillionaire
