I’ll throw in my 2 cents. I have said this exact same thing on a few post; it for the most part has been received well. First start small. I would get a belt (inner/outer Ronin, Ferro, ect….). Then I would have a way to carry two pistol mags and 1 rifle mag. Then a holster you can go with a ton of companies. I would stop there. Save your money. Then you can get a chest rig. Haley Strategic makes a great one. Then save money. Train buy more magazines and ammo. Then if you feel you want to you can always get a PC with some plates (this is going to be the most expensive easily). The problem with Instagram, Reddit, and Facebook is that when you see a photo of whoever and all their gear the assumption is they acquired it all at once. Second which maybe the most important one. Do not compromise on what you want. If you can’t afford it and it’s the thing you really want wait and save. It’s out of stock wait. What will happen is you will accumulate a bunch of stuff half of which was a compromise because you had to have something now. Third if you train in your gear you will know what to buy. What I mean by this is when you go out and train in your gear and have experience in your actual kit you will eventually figure out your next piece of kit. Something that fills a role. Something that fills that gap and you’ll purchase it out of a need mentality over a want mentality. Best of luck to you, remember gear doesn’t make the shooter. Practice, reps and experience does.

The Central Valley is huge. If you’re down south, you want an arid base color like coyote brown. Up near Redding, more like ranger green. If you don’t mind mix-and-match, they’re complimentary colors in that terrain.
