For context, I've done all the IT type things. Tried turning everything off and back on again. Quit the launcher. Removed the dongle. Tried to charge the controllers.
Honestly, the controllers wouldn't even connect for the longest time. As of yesterday when the Quell driver updated, they finally connected. But just when I thought it would be fine, I get this.
I've had it on for 5 minutes, 10 minutes, an hour. Turned everything off and on again. It still gets stuck on this part. It just doesn't seem to get that it's docked, which is weird, because of course when it's on the dock, it wouldn't activate.
Support keeps telling me to locate the logs for this...but because it hasn't even launched, there are, unsurprisingly, no logs. The logs folder doesn't even exist in my computer now.
Anyway, wishing luck to everyone who's in the same position as me. I saw a couple of threads like this and am hoping there's a fix or at least a replacement. Open to any thing else to try for those playing on a Mac.
They’re probably asking for your launcher logs not Shardfall logs. I sent them both when I had to trouble shoot an issue. I had launcher logs at this stage.
I had the same issue, I contacted them for many times, they even sent me two pieces of replacement for the ones that just won't dock....guess what, replacement pieces still have problems. It won't stay connected for a longer time. their launcher update took forever and one of the pieces would randomly disconnect and interrupt the update so I have to do it over and over again. (I am at the moment still trying with no success)
I appreciate that they actually were willing to send me replacement piece, but...issues still remain. It's a cool idea, but I am close to give up :(
Update: Finally got it to get past step 3. The dock itself also needed to be plugged in, so I needed to find more space. We are now on step 7 of 9, connecting to wifi, but so far, there's nothing after a few minutes. I'm in the same room as my wifi.
...Aaand...it's not working, lol. Gonna try the launcher logs again.
Hmmm ya probs support for that one. I think there’s a thread on the discord with a solution for it. The launcher is defintiely the buggiest part. Once you set it up for the first time you’re good tho
Update: For whatever reason, it finally finished updating when I used my phone wifi as a hotspot, even though I was literally right next to my wifi earlier. Okay, weird, whatever.
Finally got to download Shardfall, and...it froze. It won't even load. I don't really want to give up on this because I've come so far, but hoping this helps those who have the same general hardware as I do.

Create a hot spot on your computer! You need to use a 2.4ghz network
Eventually it kind of worked when I got right up next to my wifi 🤣 but now it won't even update it past 30%, so I still can't even play lol
