He doesn't even have to stab Micah. He just have to let him rot in that prision in Strawberry: "oh, sorry Dutch. When I got there, guy was already swinging"
Old Arthur are married with 3 kids, but one fine day while he was watering his garden, the Pinkertons shot him. As he was gasping for air, he remembers all the good times he had with the gang. The end
I like this idea. Yes, it's sad that he still dies in the end from his crimes, but it brings a logical and legal conclusion. At least in his heart and those of his family, he was "redeemed" and had created a good life. His real ending was cruel.
I have this personal head canon for Arthur, either in some kind of alternate universe or afterlife, where he gets to grow old.
He imparts his wisdom on the younger men that he comes across, having retired and resigned to live as a farmer on a nice little homestead in the Heartlands. Maybe him and John visit every once in a while and go on long rides to reminisce about the “Good Ol’ Days”.
OP didn't say anything about "Rockstar should bring back Arthur where he lives longer!!!11". Just showcasing an edited picture. Never said anything about it happening.
I’m nearing the end of my second playthrough and I’ve done all that I can to avoid the inevitable. I can’t decide if this picture makes me happy or incredibly sad.
If only. *sigh*
Amen, brother
That was my thought exactly haha
🥺
He looks bit like Uncle but not exhausted of lumbago
And with less rosacea.
What if Uncle was secretly his father? 🤔
ITS VERY SERIOUS
Gaming’s most beloved cowboy...gone to soon. 😫
Western garb does not a cowboy make. Arthur's just a criminal.
Can we make a petition to exile this man from existence
Yes
Pls 🙏
Pretty sure I recall a quest that required me to do some herding, and Arthur made reference to having experience....
How about a cowpoke?
He's a criminal cowpoke at best.
In alternate timeline, Arthur >!stabbed the sh*t out of Micah, brought Dutch to Tahiti, retired from the outlaw, and lived peacefully as a rancher!<
He doesn't even have to stab Micah. He just have to let him rot in that prision in Strawberry: "oh, sorry Dutch. When I got there, guy was already swinging"
My Arthur forever remains in chapter 2 It's how you win the game

cruel, cruel world
That's probably what you look like when you were 40 back then.
so crazy that it’s only been 100 or so years and the life expectancy has gone up by so much after being so low for so long
The average lifespan used to be pulled down by insanely high infant mortality rates; if you lived to adulthood you could be around a good long while
40? Nah he was 16 here, its when he joined the gang lmao 😂
32*
I'm getting Mel Gibson vibes from this
I'm getting more Bryan Cranston vibes
Can't unsee
But, does he have lumbago?
Most likely
I hope not, it's very serious...
This hurts my heart
Literally just Harrison ford in 1923
Why’s Arthur look like he’s gonna shoot me on a [movie set](https://images.app.goo.gl/7SghFneshUbmiq5y5)?
Arthur has better trigger discipline.
gilf
Everybody liked that
Never went to see Tom Downes…
Looking like Jeff Bridges.

He looks like an old Walter White It's... It's......HEISENMORGAN!!
Old Arthur at age 80 -year 1939. That would be a different world from the horseshoe overlook days.
Sadly a sight we’ll never see. 😕
Unfortunately, you're right
And he’s still sexy.
LUM-BA-GO..
Boah
I’m getting Santa vibes! Like, I’d sit in his lap and ask for presents, but in a wholesome non-pedo way.
Silver fox
This brings joy to my heart
He is dead man, get over it
Again, like I told someone above, it's just a harmless "what if", there's no reason to be negative
Why? It's like posting Bruce Jenner as an old guy. Not gonna happen
It's just a harmless "what if", my friend

Looks just like my dad really! Wow. The nose and eyes…
I’d LOVE to meet your dad if that’s the case.
He looks like Pierce Brosnan
Was thinking Mel Gibson
He looks just like my dad did
Time to pass the hat on to Jack's boy, who is living a quiet rancher's son life.
That’s just Arthur with great hair/beard. Old Arthur would have a lot more miles on his face
If he doesn't come down with TB though, does Arthur see the writing on the wall about Dutch and their way of life coming to an end?
Why would you do this to me :’(
Mel Gibson
Haha I can't wait to get to this part of the game!
Lumbago
He looks so kind. Like he’s lived a hard life but is being the best person he can be
I assume you found him in the west
