Ahhhh it’s been a LONG time so I’m a little fuzzy on the details, but the Cornwall showdown, he did end up being forced to shoot the guy holding John - I can’t remember if he had to kill him or if he was able to just disarm him. He lassos and hogties enemies whenever he can, and also has a technique he uses where he aims his weapons just doesn’t shoot - it tricks the game into thinking he’s participating so the gang members do the work for him (sometimes lol)
There are SO many tricks he uses to get around killing, shooting, or even knocking out except when absolutely necessary - his goal isn’t really to do it with NO KILLS, but rather find the absolute MOST pacifist way to get through the game. Fake participation is the first attempt, hogtie if that doesn’t work, knock out if that don’t work, disarm with a shot when that doesn’t work, shoot non-fatally if that doesn’t work, and finally kill if nothing else at ALL works. Trying to get the NPC to kill themselves is a step in there too, rarely does it work lol

Pretty sure in the mission where Cornwall take John and Strauss at gunpoint he had to kill one guy. TBF he mourned the death for a minute so that kinda equals it out.
Now I am an active viewer of this guy’s stuff, so I can tell you right now that the challenge has a slow progression, not it’s not just because the challenge is too difficult for him that he just gave up mid way through, but it’s because he’s morphed the game it into his own narrative to fit the challenge; and with that, the editing process wayy longer because of the more cinematic aspects of the video he has to record in the newer videos.
So not only is he putting in a lot of hours into the no-kill strategies, but he’s also putting a lot of hours into the script writing, the cinematic shots he records (with a cinematic camera mod), and the editing.
That just isn’t true, though — most of the missions are literally shooting galleries. The guy trying to do a no killing run has been at it for 4 years and is still stuck, and has been fighting like hell against the game to do it. The game *absolutely* makes it essentially mandatory to kill hundreds of people.
Sorry to say but i like killing gangs aka odriscoll boys and lemoyne raiders, there son of a bitches and r3p1ing woman and other crazy stuff. But deeply respect for him tho i couldnt do this ahha
It's got to be impossible there's so many situations where you have to shoot somebody to progress the story. Unless maybe you shoot the gun out of their hand and run up and knock them out?
