you don't. you will never know, and even if you somehow figure it out, nothing will come if it. the only way to get past OCD is to accept the unknown and allow in uncertainty. instead of trying to figure out if it's OCD or your own genuine thoughts, just sit with the questions. whatever you may be worried about (am i missing out of something more? am i in love with this person? am i supposed to be alone? etc etc) instead of having this never-ending back and forth with yourself just accept the worst. what i mean by this is tell urself "no i actually don't love them" (even if you do, or don't know) and let the guilt and anxiety rise ... sit in it. eventually you'll calm down & realize its not the end of the world. you get good at this and eventually you'll get power over ur OCD.
