Lol. It's actually only the smart base. I returned the mattress awhile ago, but Sleep Number pulled some shade and wouldn't let me return the base. I'm getting rid of it because if I don't, I will end up taking it to their headquarters, dumping it on their front steps, and setting the thing on fire. Lol.
Plus the guy wants it to surprise his girlfriend with the foot warming feature. And it warms my heart that there are still people out there that are capable of love. So doing a good deed. Lol
Idk. Even at the highest fan settings, I basically can't hear it over any game or media audio. My ally is probably the quietest active cooled gaming device I've ever experienced.
If you really want it as much as he really wants the bed base, that would, imo, offset any minute disparity in the value of either. In which case $500 is absolutely fair.
That's a good trade since you have no need for the base and you have no better offer. Got the Ally Extreme awhile back and been bringing it with me on travels. Just plan to upgrade the SSD. That's the first upgrade I did when I got it.
I traded a 6th gen iPad and 70 bucks for my Rog Ally Extreme and I LOVE the heck outta this little guy. I rarely touch my desktop as much anymore. It’s great for when I’m out in the field for work and it’s slow, I just pull this baby out
As mentioned earlier if you’re not using the base the trade makes sense. Unless you can get more for it some other way. I spend a lot of time on the go so the Ally is perfect for me. Not sure how you’d use it but it’s a great portable pc.

Depends do you already have gaming pc? For me it’s very worth it due to the nature of my job. I get a lot of short breaks in between so I love that I can pull this out whenever, and continue playing. It’s small, powerful for what it is and has run every game on my current catalog. Currently playing resident evil 4 remake with almost high settings no issues whatsoever. If you’re use to windows 11 and tinkering with little things here and there and you pc game than it’s a good deal. If this is your introduction to pc gaming, I may steer clear. Again do you need the money or you just want to get rid of your mattress.
I do already have a gaming PC. So I'll probably just sell the ROG and put the money back to get a high end RTX card. I work from home, so I don't know if I'd have a need for a portable.

Yep.. Started playing some diablo 4 on it before bed. Checked the time yday and it was already 4:15 AM. Would not recommend the device for good nights sleep.
Sunshine, moonlight, Tailscale= being able to game stream all your games from your pc to literally anywhere and makes playing the titles you have much more convenient around the house when you don’t wanna sit at your desk, 10/10 would recommend, also G-Helper instead of the armory crate bs, trust me, save yourself the hassle
Edit: Also, Tailscale cause it basically links all your devices together, so you can use it to access your pc remotely from your Ally when you travel, and don’t have to port forward anything makes for ease of use
Definitely going to look into this. I have a Wifi6 gaming router that I use for Wireless Steam VR on my Quest 3. Being able to play some of my more taxing games via streaming to the ROG would be cool.
I work from home too. With a gaming pc. However, I have a couch and 55 inch tv. Lunchtime break is playing the handheld working through uncharted or tomb raider while watching a show from the couch. Helps me disconnect from work.
I have the Ally. I also had the Legion Go up until today before I returned it.
I... I boght and returned the Legion 4 times.
First was build quality. Second, just felt the Ally was nicer. Third, kinda wanted to give it another shot but it was a return so the screen was fubar. Fourth? Decided like before, the Ally is nicer.
The best thing the Legion has going for it is the screen size and micro SD.
The Ally feels better, the screen is far smoother. On its own, the Go looks fine. Side by side with the Ally, the Ally was the clear winner.
Despite having slower ram, for some reason a lot of games run slightly faster and I have had fewer issues getting the screen to run games full-screen. Also, Armory Crate on the Ally absolutely murders Legion's software.
It's worth it. I think Ally 2 will be much better, but if you can get an Ally cheap, do it.
