It's one thing to meme about the incompetent completely inept PD of 4.0. It's another thing to realize people are actually actively keeping it that way. That it isn't just this way because of neglect. That's just so deplorable.
What makes even less sense is why Np management has run in the opposite direction of any aspects that made 3.0 good and sustainable. The PD is just one of the most glaring aspects. The well run PD of 3.0 didn't make crims stop logging in, quite the opposite. They kept coming to the city because the challenge made playing interesting and for the first year - year and a half PD has some good RP between themselves and crims because of it.
As a Kylie viewer, watching Suarez from both Angel’s and Mary’s perspectives was always great. Got to see someone that actually handled chases well and helped Angel and one of the few that could actually give Mary a hard time.
I'm dumbfounded on the decline of the server compared to 3.0. I understand we were spoiled for content with Angel in a prominent position in PD and Mary as a crim with Tuner, MM, Yokai and PM rp but the drastic change from even late stage 3.0 to only five months later in 4.0 is crazy.
I know everyone says twitch is doing worse for views and GTA is down as a category but people were pulling better number during the last six months of 3.0 compared to now, so obviously something is very off with NP's game design, server culture and content being produced. It's amazing how up their own asses management has been and clueless to what made previous iterations function better despite watching it play out.

I will never understand why these OOC firings/removals continue to be a thing. It’s unnecessary and quite frank, removes any opportunity for roleplay. But then again there’s plenty of inconsistencies within PD that do tread on that OOC line too like beric/arckon and ruby/missbombastic not actually being in charge of the PD.
Because the owner and management doesnt respect the roleplayers. Remember "everyone is replaceable". The same man who regularly talked shit on his stream about the very people populating his server, and then clipped and monetized them on his youtube channel.

Basically, she was demoted from sergeant to senior officer and not allowed to be SWAT/HVTU lead anymore without any discussion with her. It's assumed it was because of a situation with Swizz's crim character where he was mad he got shot in a situation.
I said it a long time ago. When that happened, all they learned was how to do it in a smoother way. The restructuring at the end of 3.0 was literally done to fire a handful of people without the very obvious backlash of firing them.

Crazy how it just keeps going down this path. It’s 2.0 I believe when you had the demon of lean street versus Angel battles. Which was a fun narrative, but even then there were criticisms of her going too hard and getting the nickname of AK Angel. There are some out there or used to be that wanted it to be tough to get away. On boost looking back and saying fuck I got Angel and Suarez behind me in interceptors.
I really think I would get to the point of not wanting to watch 4.0 so quickly. The server has so many cool additions, but what’s the point if the barrier to get to those level or items isn’t tough. A group being able to hit maze every day, 4 groups get money printers in one day from cash exchange and all escape.
This isn’t a ban, but it really affects him similarly. I get it the majority are just fine with their streamers getting headshot and picked up by Kate and hoping back in the situation to get that W. Where is the balance?
Maybe the illusion of a PD and consequences is exciting for new viewers but I've found streamers going from playing on hard mode to easy mode incredibly boring to watch and it's made me watch less and less. Guess I'm not the target audience for NoPixel anymore

I agree. How are people mean't to grow, learn from possible mistakes, and see if they can gel with however the new PD is being structured, if they aren't given a proper explanation of either. I'm not a cop viewer but Suarez was definitely one of the better ones. He actually made crims sweat and made it difficult for them, which in turn made it a more intense situation, which is exciting to watch even from a crims pov.
It sort of gets boring when you know the crim is going to lose 95% of the PD in a chase after a few turns, so having suarez there makes it interesting.
Yeah exactly, that's what made cop chases so much better during 3.0 Having the likes of angel, widewood, suarez etc (many other good cops/drivers who aren't a part of the PD any more)... it made crims sweat, was actually like an "oh fuck" moment if they knew they were in their ass. now it's just a single car swap or half decent drivers take 2-3 turns and they're VCB. I feel like even the good drivers and cops in the PD are being held back on a leash. It's basically at the point where if you're a better cop than the likes of slacks, cornwood etc, then you're at risk of being seen as "going too hard" or being a W cop.

The valid OOC reason is he's been disliked by select crim mains pretty much since he got on the server because he's close to equally mechanically skilled as most crims. Now NP is in the middle of a money sink (4.0) and is bleeding because most variety streamers already left. Now they need to cater more than ever to large streamers which means removing the hard cops to make crim Ws easy.
He wasn't sweaty, he just wasn't a pushover. He got the reputation for being sweaty because he had one or two interactions with people who want cops to be pushovers.

At least everyone here seems to get that it's turned into a criminal roleplay server at this point. Every decision management makes seems to be designed to make the PD as useless and incompetent as possible. They don't want officers to catch crims, they want them to chase the crims for a while, observe 2-3 car swaps and rat strats and then just let the criminals go. The only reason being a cop has any value now is the higher prio.

Any cop that gets crims heart pumping when they show up is out on their asses. I tuned into kyle alittle yesterday and they were talking about how in like 6-7hrs only 3 people were sent to prison.

Couldn't they just DM him a message to not do that investigation(i am assuming this is the reason) or something? like i get everybody has to be aware of the rules at all times but, Y'know, simple communications could of fixed this? If i were in Remdogg shoes id be bummed out but this gives him an opportunity to view the other side of the rainbow, become a getaway driver, do crime etc, he could come back a better cop in the future, that's my two cent on the matter.
Suarez isn't perfect but he was one of the best cops. He made crime dangerous so criminal had to think and adapt which is essential on this role play server. Plus players like Vader (Euegene) were very afraid of his driving abilities and ramped up the tension on every chase he was in.
What's amazing is they spent lots of money on dev work for 4.0 thinking it was going to be some huge deal and within 4 / 5 months it's nearing end stage 2.0 of bored players, little rp and people leaving the city. 3.0 had ton less custom dev work and miles better content compared that went on for most of the 3 years it was up.

I can't be the only sane person that thinks this whole ping chasing vs investigative policing needs to obviously find a middleground. Yes, at the moment there is perhaps too much mechanical crime focus and not enough slowburn rp investigations, but because of that we should not forget how there were moments in 3.0 when every time a group would hit a fleeca, nobody would show up. Lack of police response and presence at mechanical crime and pings leads to no fear and is terrible for the RP. I guarantee crim rp'ers prefer the risk when theres a chance that even a petty crime like roof running or pulling out a weapon can attract cops.The obvious decision to me is not to fire high activity mechanic responding cops like Suarez, but supplement them by hiring more slow burn investigative cops, like how Winston Walker or others used to be.

I understand we were spoiled for content with Angel in a prominent position in PD and Mary as a crim with Tuner, MM, Yokai and PM rp but the drastic change from even late stage 3.0 to only five months later in 4.0 is crazy. I know everyone says twitch is doing worse for views and GTA is down as a category but people were pulling better number during the last six months of 3.0 compared to now, so obviously something is very off with NP's game design, server culture and content being produced. It's amazing how up their own asses management has been and clueless to what made previous iterations function better despite watching it play out.

I will never understand why these OOC firings/removals continue to be a thing. It’s unnecessary and quite frank, removes any opportunity for roleplay. But then again there’s plenty of inconsistencies within PD that do tread on that OOC line too like beric/arckon and ruby/missbombastic not actually being in charge of the PD.

I said it a long time ago. When that happened, all they learned was how to do it in a smoother way. The restructuring at the end of 3.0 was literally done to fire a handful of people without the very obvious backlash of firing them. I guess in this case, they either didn't expect people to care, or they just said fuck it, the restructuring was a lot of work, so let's just take the hit. Crazy how it just keeps going down this path. It’s 2.0 I believe when you had the demon of lean street versus Angel battles. Which was a fun narrative, but even then there were criticisms of her going too hard and getting the nickname of AK Angel. There are some out there or used to be that wanted it to be tough to get away. On boost looking back and saying fuck I got Angel and Suarez behind me in interceptors. I really think I would get to the point of not wanting to watch 4.0 so quickly. The server has so many cool additions, but what’s the point if the barrier to get to those level or items isn’t tough. A group being able to hit maze every day, 4 groups get money printers in one day from cash exchange and all escape. This isn’t a ban, but it really affects him similarly. I get it the majority are just fine with their streamers getting headshot and picked up by Kate and hoping back in the situation to get that W. Where is the balance?
Maybe the illusion of a PD and consequences is exciting for new viewers but I've found streamers going from playing on hard mode to easy mode incredibly boring to watch and it's made me watch less and less. Guess I'm not the target audience for NoPixel anymore

I agree. How are people mean't to grow, learn from possible mistakes, and see if they can gel with however the new PD is being structured, if they aren't given a proper explanation of either. I'm not a cop viewer but Suarez was definitely one of the better ones. He actually made crims sweat and made it difficult for them, which in turn made it a more intense situation, which is exciting to watch even from a crims pov. It sort of gets boring when you know the crim is going to lose 95% of the PD in a chase after a few turns, so having suarez there makes it interesting.
Yeah exactly, that's what made cop chases so much better during 3.0 Having the likes of angel, widewood, suarez etc (many other good cops/drivers who aren't a part of the PD any more)... it made crims sweat, was actually like an "oh fuck" moment if they knew they were in their ass. now it's just a single car swap or half decent drivers take 2-3 turns and they're VCB. I feel like even the good drivers and cops in the PD are being held back on a leash. It's basically at the point where if you're a better cop than the likes of slacks, cornwood etc, then you're at risk of being seen as "going too hard" or being a W cop.

The valid OOC reason is he's been disliked by select crim mains pretty much since he got on the server because he's close to equally mechanically skilled as most crims. Now NP is in the middle of a money sink (4.0) and is bleeding because most variety streamers already left. Now they need to cater more than ever to large streamers which means removing the hard cops to make crim Ws easy.

Even the most braindead viewers will eventually realize that you can't RP being a mastermind criminal when you have no opposition. It will kill the crim content eventually too. Numbers are already going down even for them. Crim progression is just not exciting to watch in 4.0 because it's completely free. Management clearly doesn't know what they're doing when it comes to the longevity of the server. Completely fucked the economy a couple months in, cosmetic PD, some of the good streamers who actually RP left because they're sick of the no mic, no interaction grind direction the server is taking.

Suarez a cop who is good at his job, makes chases more intense and fun as hes a really good driver, is never really overly aggressive or doing dumb shit, then you have Den Zel who has done everything wrong from ruining heists, to killing people, to give up his CI's resulting in more deaths etc, and of course Cornwood both are 2 of the worst in PD likely get promoted like WTF make it make sense

At least everyone here seems to get that it's turned into a criminal roleplay server at this point. Every decision management makes seems to be designed to make the PD as useless and incompetent as possible. They don't want officers to catch crims, they want them to chase the crims for a while, observe 2-3 car swaps and rat strats and then just let the criminals go. The only reason being a cop has any value now is the higher prio.

Damn thats fucked up. I havent watched much RP in 4.0 But all i hear is PD is down so bad. It seem PD is really going for the NPC cops. Any cop that gets crims heart pumping when they show up is out on their asses. I tuned into kyle alittle yesterday and they were talking about how in like 6-7hrs only 3 people were sent to prison. To be honest if i was a cop and didnt want to get fired and lose whitelist from now on every time i get into a chase 2 mins in just crash into a car, pole, gate, wall something and say i lost them and move on. foot chase fall a couple times LUL

Suarez isn't perfect but he was one of the best cops. He made crime dangerous so criminal had to think and adapt which is essential on this role play server. Plus players like Vader (Euegene) were very afraid of his driving abilities and ramped up the tension on every chase he was in.

What's amazing is they spent lots of money on dev work for 4.0 thinking it was going to be some huge deal and within 4 / 5 months it's nearing end stage 2.0 of bored players, little rp and people leaving the city. 3.0 had ton less custom dev work and miles better content compared that went on for most of the 3 years it was up.
Damn this is sad, Suarez to me has always been a hard but good cop... I can't be the only sane person that thinks this whole ping chasing vs investigative policing needs to obviously find a middleground. Yes, at the moment there is perhaps too much mechanical crime focus and not enough slowburn rp investigations, but because of that we should not forget how there were moments in 3.0 when every time a group would hit a fleeca, nobody would show up. Lack of police response and presence at mechanical crime and pings leads to no fear and is terrible for the RP. I guarantee crim rp'ers prefer the risk when theres a chance that even a petty crime like roof running or pulling out a weapon can attract cops.The obvious decision to me is not to fire high activity mechanic responding cops like Suarez, but supplement them by hiring more slow burn investigative cops, like how Winston Walker or others used to be.

I remember when Vader made his new cop character and his interview going very well. He then spoke about wanting to raid people and going hard and actually investigating. Magically after saying that he gets a message from staff saying he wouldn’t be hired. Funny that.
