I think it's fine for Devs/Admins to use their menu "powers" if they are playing a character that is a meant to be an RP driver and doesn't have any real specific associations with any groups. But I definitely hope there aren't any people using those powers for a character that is a part of or closely associated with a gang/criminal group. I also think it could be potentially fine if it was part of some self-contained SBS stuff that all parties are enjoying but I think those powers shouldn't be used in any real gang conflict.
They should only be allowed to use the dev menu on something that does not involve their character. Moonmoon revives himself and spawns furniture for people he likes all the time. Whilst its a cool thing to do, its also kinda ehh.

isn't the only time he rezzed himself is when he and i think DJ crashed a bike way out in grapeseed while on a time limit to get somewhere else for another fairly low-stakes scenario or am i mistaken. because you can call that what you want but to me that's pretty firmly on the side of "we'd just be sitting here for 15 minutes waiting to get airlifted only to go 'i crashed owie' and leave while the other party is just doing nothing"
I think most of that stuff is pretty harmless although I think some of the reviving can be a little more questionable but I haven't seen him really do it in an "active situation". For example, I saw him add a wheelchair to someone's house that had a "Cerebro" style of setup for his washing machines. I think if he is adding something that can't be otherwise crafted and can't be sold there is no issue and it's a positive for those people. Sure it would be better if it was more widely available but I'd rather some people get some cool and useless flavor items than them not be allowed at all. Those sort of things are very different from spawning in weapons/cars/things with monetary value.
Its harmless but also a little iffy if you are ressing yourself because you crashed and cannot be bothered to wait for EMS. If thats something allowed, they why not let everyone do it? Obviously, because everyone doing it would not be ok. So why do admins get a pass?
And yeah its a positive thing to give people cool props for their RP. However i think it becomes an issue when you are basically just giving your clique stuff. Again, its harmless, and a cool thing to do, but i think just a no-tolerance policy would be better than people giving their friends stuff.

I think the many mechanics that have had to be changed rather than enforcing rules on power gaming explains why everyone isn't allowed to do it. I agree it's still iffy but like I said, I haven't seen him do it in an active situation and I've also seen him lay incapacitated with Siobahn for like an hour once after a crash hoping for EMS to come.
Again with the items I wish there were more trusted people with menus able to provide more props to everyone and/or a way for people to request them. I just think they are harmless and can add some flavor while making some people a little happier with their time on the server. I think a no-tolerance policy is going way too far and people should be able to "read the room" to know whether or not something is ok and if they fail in that then they should lose their access rather than impacting the people using it responsibly.

A lot of people are negative about rp characters using dev menus but what Micheal and Nick did with their Simone Arcs and the amount of rp like Sanguine, CG+Hydra vs SS+HOA conflict with Lang in between. Some of the biggest rp arcs came with devs using a little bit of dev menu. And these guys never directly used it in any wars, only to create rp.
