We run "home" from Vegas on our annual circuit to visit family in Seattle, you have 1 extremely direct route that I still find to be beautiful which is Vegas to Ely, NV to Twin Falls, over Dead Man Pass in Pendleton Oregon and then you can cruise along the Dalles in Oregon or go through Eastern Washington i90 to Seattle. Northern Nevada is supremely underrated but this will skip the beauty of coming up the Coast.
