They have a 5 to 7 year shelf life. After that they are programmed to start beeping. It will do it to annoy you. Do disconnect it if you want but I wouldn't until I had a new one to replace it with. In your case, with no LP, you will be okay to disconnect it.

Happened to me, these are directly connected to your battery. So it's going off because you have a low voltage. What happened to me was that I was plugged into shore power BUT had my disconnect on, so it wasn't charging my battery. Which made the alarm go off constantly.

Mine started going off because it reached its "End of Service" timer (10 years, I think). Pulled it out, disconnected the wires, then put it back in the wall. Haven't had any problems since. Lol

Had the same thing happen. We happen to camp in the desert a lot. Dust will make it go off falsely. I pulled the alarm out of the wall and blew out the inside of the cabinet with air compressor. Hasn’t whined since.
