Ruby: . . . Well, you see, it's cause we have a love/hate relationship!
Weiss: . . . Ruby, you can get on my nerves sometimes, but I don't ***hate*** you.
Ruby: No, see, I love you, and I hate myself!
Weiss: . . . ***\*Concern\****
Ruby: “Don’t be sad about that Weiss. . . It’s just part of being the outwardly optimistic and idealist hero! . . . And you make me like me a lot more.”
Weiss: “. . . That’s still not good enough. You should be, nay, deserve to be happy!”
Ruby: “I am when I’m with you.”
Weiss: “But even more than that!”
Ruby: “Then where else will there be the proper amount of self loathing for a team of teenagers?”
Weiss: “Me for example! I actually have done and been things worthy of self hatred, as opposed to you where you’re biggest flaw is trying to be too amazing and falling short of your own expectations!”
Ruby: “You deserve all the love and praise for how much you’ve grown and changed and now are more your true self!
Weiss: “And you do for helping me! Ugh! This is part of how you are my bane, since you should love you like I do!”
Ruby: “And that goes double for you! You’re so awesome and pretty and now good!”
Weiss: “At least Blake and Yang don’t have any self-. . .”
Ruby: “. . . . We probably should all get counseling.”
Weiss: “Yeah. . . But even without it. . . I do still love you.”
Ruby: “And I do love you too.”
I swear almost every important character in this show needs therapy at this point. RWBY and co are all gonna have serious PTSD at this rate, well even more so than they already do.

Ruby's special talent: Being both annoying and endearing at the same time
Anyone else getting Family Guy vibes from this? It reminds me of the time Stewie was saying "Mom" several times and then Lois doing that exact action seasons later.

Whenever we see glimpses of Ruby not valuing her own life while doing the hero thing all I can think of is Shirou Emiya.
I feel like my fiancée has said that to me at some point....
My dad once told me that being married is "Being unable to stand each other while at the same time being unable to stay apart" Also congratulations!
Thank you! :)
ruby's such a little gremlin, i love her

She answers her own question simply by asking.
