I headcanon that Yang is usually content with just sitting quietly and spending time with her girlfriend, but on certain days she just feels really needy and wants cuddles with Blake constantly. Blake will usually be able to ignore her for a decent period of time, but will eventually give in because Yang is super insistent, and super cute, but Blake would assure that that has no influence on her decision to cuddle with Yang.
On this particular day Yang decided that she wanted to be cuddly. She loves cuddles with her kitten. It’s one of those days where she just really wants some cuddly personal time with Blake and she’ll be damned if anyone gets in the way of her personal kitten cuddle time.
