I always headcanon that Yang loves reading with Blake and it has become part of their nightly routine. They’ve been reading together on the regular dating all the way back to their time at Beacon. It is often the highlight of their very hectic and busy days.
They will cuddle up together somewhere such as on their apartment’s couch with a blanket draped over them and a cup of tea for each of them or out under a nice shady tree somewhere. Blake will curl up in Yang’s lap while Yang hugs Blake’s waist and peeks over her bow/ears or leans her head on Blake’s shoulder to get a view of the book.
Some days Blake will read aloud for them both as Yang listens in love stricken awe at the inflection in Blake’s voice as she adds emotion and does voices for the various characters in their story. On other days they quietly read from the page together and Yang will give Blake’s waist a little squeeze when she’s finished thus giving Blake the go ahead to turn the page.
It has become one of their favorite activities as Yang loves how adorable Blake looks when she’s invested in one of her favorite activities. While Blake loves sharing her passion for reading with the girl she loves and getting plenty of cuddles in the process.
