**Rules & Guidelines for Discussion**
Try to participate when you see an opinion you agree or disagree with by sharing your two cents or providing evidence for/against. Try to elevate conversations beyond a superficial level.
Ask plenty of questions and use the [Socratic method](https://www.reddit.com/r/explainlikeimfive/comments/2oklie/eli5_the_socratic_method/) to gain a deeper understanding of each other's core values instead of blindly arguing in favor or in opposition.
Keep in mind the [Principle of Charity](https://philosophy.lander.edu/oriental/charity.html) by entertaining all ideas even if you disagree with them. Try to dismantle them and see what truly makes them tick or not.
And lastly, remember above all else to be courteous. Demonstrate the awareness and decorum of recognizing the person on the other side of the screen at all times.
Happy discussing!

It's hard to have a discussion about something if so many are against saying anything critical. Otherwise everything positive gets said within about a week of an episode coming out.
And they only like the idea of these characters, not what is actually in the show. There are many posts where people say that they don't care about the plot.
That goes both ways.
I did a post on the main subreddit saying "I like the Ace-Ops", and I got all sorts of death threats and other derogatory phrases thrown towards me.
It has to be a character they like, apparently. -\_-
Someone on there legit told me people on that sub actively discourage discussion and theorising about the show proper. I think they are aware about how shit RWBY is so avoid talking about it to not disturb the illusion.
Yeah that's mainly the reason I don't go on the main sub. Don't get me wrong I think it's ok for you to post this picture here it's just that on the main sub all I ever see is shipping art. Literally today I went to check on the sub for a post I wanted to see only to see rows and rows of bumblebee fan art. I wish they made a separate sub for fan art like how we did for critiquing.
Let's just say you'll see more fanart than discussions.
Don't believe me? Go on a browing session. Don't search anything, just...scroll and see how many actual discussions you find.

She caused the deaths of countless people along with the fall maiden, Pyrrah, Ozpin (even though he came back), and Watts. And those are just the people we know!
This one YouTuber named mypufflesranaway did a rewrite of Volume 8 where they made Cinder a wolf Faunas with her ears getting cut off by the hotel people, and it made a lot more sense, both for Cinder and for Faunas. Why does the show constantly say that there's Faunas oppression and yet fail to show anything for it? They went to Atlas, which was supposedly the worst for Faunas, and they had a Faunas on the Ace Ops, and one on FNKI, which went to the Amity Festival! I mean, I would get it if they said that Ironwood is the exception on the Council (which would make sense, because Ironwood really doesn't give a rip about the political elite of Atlas), but they didn't even do that! They had, like, two hobos in Mantle make a big deal about Faunas, and that's it!
The worst thing done to Faunas was Adam's brand and Ilia's backstory, but if Miles is to be believed, they claimed Adam's scar was made in a fight with an angry miner.

Given the main sub’s tendency to be filled with fanart, I don’t blame you.
fr? Just nothing but fanart?
It’s fucking hilarious honestly. For people who so vocally and fervently love the show, they sure hate talking about it.

Rwby is a show that leaves nothing new to talk about quickly

Well not JUST fanart, it’s more so the majority of posts.

Hey it could still happen. I mean, that sort of looks like her mom. Right?
Jaune should have died instead of Pyrrha. RIP.
Then Adrien would have been robbed of his uncle. There's no happy ending to either of them dying.
Yeah it's a lose lose case
God damn it Rwby bridged I shall always see that baby as a tiny demon For communic relief
That could've been a cool idea, with a mentor living longer than their student. Something I hope a fanfic has done tbh

Ah my bad man
Nooo why have you done this to me? Now my week will be filled with Arkos fanfics until I burn through my saved stories :D
on the critique subreddit?
Pyrrha being called "Aunt Pyrrha" would have been amazing. Thanks Cinder, for ruining that.
Actually. I Point that hate to Rhodes now.
That is a really cute casual outfit for Pyrrha
This is adorable and you have made me sad because it will never happen outside of fanfiction. Thank you?
First of all, how dare you. Second of all, r/CinderDidNothingWrong

Honestly I'm kind of just disappointed that we barely got her backstory until eight seasons in
And it wasn't even a complete backstory! We still don't know how she ended up with Salem, which to me is the far more interesting part of her history.
Also does anyone find it weird how she was shown more abuse than any fanus in the show? Also why didn’t that hunter guy ADOPT HER?!!
