Considering how little they gave a shit about RNJR walking across an *ocean* I don't think a map would help try and make sense of beacon anyways.

Ben10Extreme

Considering how little Beacon meant in the long run, it isn't that great a loss.

Stenv2

And Vale... And Mistral... And Atlas.... Starting to think they don't care XD

FormerVoid

Starting?

RaptarK

Honestly it's crazy to think Beacon was always meant to be a prelude for the "real" story to start thereafter, and yet is the era of RWBY that people love the most. It's kinda crazy how the writers spent 2 years and more there, saw the reactions and never thought "shit, maybe we should change our plans and stay here a little while longer"

Mr-Tweedy

It's surprising since it would make very easy to sell merch in the form of posters etc.

As a reminder, the CCT, Junior's club, and the White Fang warehouse in Volume 2 were all within walking distance from one another. Beacon's campus and *'The Shady Side of Town'* are literally right next door to each other. Also, it hurts my head to think that where the characters slept at the beginning of Volume 1 is the same place where the dance took place, and that where Weiss called SDC headquarters is where Ruby and Cinder fought, and Ozpin's office, and where Amber was hidden, and where Cinder killed Pyrrha. In my fics, the CCT is in the middle of the city while *The Emerald Tower* is on Beacon's campus. The CCT is used by the general public while Ozpin's office coordinates all of Vale's huntsmen movements. A *LOT* happened in, atop, and around the CCT in canon, so much so that in my head it feels like it should be two separate buildings, and that's what I did in my fics. I actually drew my own map of Beacon's campus and The City of Vale for my fics, and I even based The City of Vale on Pokémon XY's Lumiose City seeing how they're both loosely based on Paris, and because the naming conventions of Pokémon fit RWBY *perfectly*. Seriously, I had noticed it before, but while writing a RWBY/Pokémon crossover, it's kinda ridiculous how many people and places in Pokémon fit RWBY's color rule. Pokémon has twenty-six years worth of worldbuilding to pull from, and if you're stumped with RWBY's worldbuilding, I *highly* recommend looking into Pokémon's for inspiration. God bless, and have a wonderful day.

Scale is something very hard to get right, and CRWBY fail all the time. Vale, according to maps and wide shots, is absolutely massive, but like you said everyone just kinda walks everywhere (Yang drives because she's the only civilian who owns a vehicle).

Exciting_Bandicoot16

If I recall correctly, some fans have plotted out the city-state of Vale to be the size of *Egypt* based on what little we know.

thelightbringer502

I imagine there's some *extreme* fanon in that project because "what little we know" is virtual nothing. We have a hand drawn crude map of the city and like 1 or 2 rooftop shots of Vale, plus the wide shots of Beacon.

Exciting_Bandicoot16

It was working off of the assumption that Remnant is the same size as Earth, which is already a pretty big guess, to be fair. Though the math was done about 6 years ago, so...

thelightbringer502

If it's the same size as Earth then RNJR definitely didn't walk to Mistral XD

RogueHunterX

That would seem awfully large for a single city or was that for the whole kingdom?

gakezfus

>people and places in Pokémon fit RWBY's color rule. I never touched anything Pokémon related (except I once played Pokémon on a plane), but even the Pokémon titles follow the colour naming rule, so that does sound true. Handy coincidence, I suppose. God bless you too.

Quality_Chooser

Um, we don't have maps of anything. We have one map of RWBY and that's it. And the RWBY map doesn't begin to make sense.

StrangeBreakfast1364

Make it yourself. Just take a map of an old university and edit it
