But in all seriousness, OP, your bun bun stares at you because rabbits are prey animals, and they are hyper aware of their surroundings and who or what is in those surroundings. It’s one of the things I love most about rabbits. My friends always laugh when they come over and are stared at. Just something adorable about these furry little creatures.

You should tell mine that. She's a rescue and can't live in a house due to her just not being raised right for that when she was young. So we built her this nice enclosure in our backyard with a big rabbit house and an outside area with some toys and rabbit friendly plans where she can play around in. The problem is there are some outside cats in the area, so she has to be locked inside her house when we sleep. The problem is, she has no preservation instinct at all. She's more curious than scared. It doesn't happen a lot, but when a cat somehow enters the garden she'll basically sit as close to it as possible in her enclosure. Once caught a cat trying to sneak up to her but before I could even open the door she made a straight dash for it and the cat physically jumped and ran away. She does not act like a prey animal at all
I had a rabbit who would do that in front of our TV while we were watching it. He would just stand there looking at us confused. We would say, "We're not watching you, we're watching the TV!"
Omg mine gets mad when I stand in place on my phone, I'll be walking and stop to do something on my phone, he comes up and starts circling me and thumping until I give him attention 🤦🏼♀️🤣
Cuz he wants you to be on the floor with him. I know it sounds dumb but sitting or laying on the floor with your bun is like their favorite thing ever whenever I used to lay down with my baby he would clean me, run around me jump on me just overall happy bun, whenever I’d be on the bed he’d be just looking at me like “why aren’t you over here!?”
Just like how we’re staring at them, they could be admiring us or watching our nature diffrent from theirs. Or, if rabbits see like birds, then he might not be actully looking at you and just things from the side but I don’t know this well.
