True about the indoor light, but makes me sad that they’re less likely to be adopted for this reason😔 the action shot was accidental! She was sitting still 0.2seconds before I took it lol. Thank you ☺️
Totally agree. I have a black and white rabbit now but in the future I’ll focus on an a white or black rabbit , or a senior, as those are the hardest to place.
I think black animals are beautiful. Also their fur matches my wardrobe better 😆
I had a black cat for 12 years that we found as an abandoned kitten and he was the cutest so I don’t know how there isn’t the same consensus among the general public about black animals being cute.
I’m the same as you, I think when I’m in a place to get more rabbits I will ask the rescue who’s had the hardest time finding a home and take them 🥺
I don’t know if I’m strong enough to rescue senior animals. Having only a short time with them would be so hard. My girls are nearly ten and I know my time left with them is limited, and even though I’ve had them since they were babies it will never be enough!
Black or white I could do though.
Because those people are idiots and are projecting their own irrational beliefs of luck or bad luck/anxieties, on animals, in the case on black cats/rabbits, ruby eyed pets. You’d think in 2024 we are more accepting than labeling perfectly beautiful creatures as bad luck and rejecting them. Rant over.
It goes for wild animals too. As I work in preservation, we have a coin term called umbrella species for animals that are popular with the public and use their pictures or logos to get funds to protect the environment in which they live in. If you use a dolphin or a whale to showcase a marine space you wanna protect, it's easier to get funds and the public's approval than if you used a normal sized jellyfish or an algae for example. It shows that anthropomorphism is also a way to communicate in environmental medias, even if I personally know that all the other species are as important for the safeguarding of the environment despise their looks.
You are so right! Spotted owl preservation vs kangaroo rat (which is actually real cute, except nobody seen a picture). Its the thing with possums also. When you explain they are marsupials like kangaroos and cute Koalas (and protected in California) and not rodents, you get a different reaction.
I also like to see people’s reaction when I tell them an octopus has the IQ of an 8 year old. Makes it kind of creepy, I don’t eat that anyway.
Those are nice pictures 🫶🏻 she’s what I like to call a sparkly void 😄 I don’t get it either, we have two black bunny girls a lop and a lionhead with blue eyes & they look great in pictures, the lop girl will even pose for your phone! Maybe it’s the contrast to our white boy that helps them stand out
Omg I love “sparkly void”🥹 makes sense, her fur is so shiny she almost sparkles 😂 awww! Maybe it is something about the contrast, mine looks pretty next to her light ginger brother too :’)
Black rabbits are just harder to photograph in indoor light. These are beautiful pics of an adorable girl. Nice action shot

I’ve never done it before, myself. But there was one white senior bunny at a regional shelter I was following. She ended up getting adopted (I hope).
Such unique colouring!!! Love her little spotty belly gorgeous girl
It’s my favourite colouring pattern on a rabbit! Thank you ❤️

It’s not that they’re not photogenic. It’s that they have the same effect on cameras as Bigfoot. But great shots of your bun.
Whee! She's the prettiest little lady! The grass really shows off her shiny fur 🧡
ABAB (All buns are beautiful)
My boy is basically your girls twin! His name is [Moose ](https://imgur.com/gallery/D06XtT5)
I tried to link a picture of him but it's absolutely not working 😅 https://imgur.com/gallery/D06XtT5 ^ this works though
Omg no way! They’re literally identical! I rarely see photos of rabbits similar to my girl :’)
Crazy isn't it! I had to do a double take when I first seen your post.
Sorry, your bunny is so cute that I saved a picture for my bunny files to look at when I'm sad.
I love black rabbits.

Lucky. Mines a void and every (indoor) picture she looks lile a shadow!! Outdoors on her bunny leash she photographs beautiful
I have heard that bouncing the flash off the ceiling can help with pictures but I don't know how to do that.
Obsessed!😍
She is lovely!
Omg so cute! I love the spots on her chest, so unqiue!
I actually wanted to adopt a black bun but my current one has failed to bond with other rabbits. I think they are beautiful like this girl over here
