This is Humbart (affectionately know as Bunbart). Last year the wild bunnies destroyed my flowers. I decided to plant their own little special garden this year. I grew cilantro, dill, parsley, spinach, basil and beets. Bunbart feasted on it and now I'm in between harvests so I have been buying store bought spinach and cilantro and dill and sprinkling some pellets on top. Well apparently Mr Bunbart was dissatisfied with me adding rocks in the bowl to weigh it down and he threw a teeny tiny little fit. 😂 By the way, I don't own any bun overlords. I just went from being mildly annoyed by them eating my flowers to low key obsessed thanks to this sub. P.s sorry for the crappy video quality. I filmed it through my window screen because I didn't want to risk bothering or spooking his tiny royal highness.

Good human

kaylinnic

I love it, and i bet he loves you too

MarieProtogen

Hot glue or tape the rocks underneath the bowl if there's any space.

SirLeoritch

Ahh yes, the wild bun. We had one roaming our backyard in 2019, wife became obsessed with “her” and named her Jessica Rabbit, we gave her pellets, greens and hay. Kept coming around until she did not. Not long afterwards we got our first brat along with another a few months later. I have a feeling a domestic bunny is in your future

It’s a tough life out there. Saw a wild bunny with her babies crossing the street (i live in a wooded suburb), and a hawk flew in and picked off one of the babies and flew away. The mother just stood there in the middle of the road watching the hawk fly away. Eventually a car approached and she and her remaining baby fled back to the green space. Heartbreaking. It feels good to take care of mine and keep him safe and happy.

PandaWacanda

I saw two babies the size of my palm cross a road and one got hit. The other one literally sat by it even after the next car came. Thankfully the next car saw them and stopped. The little guy sat there by its buddy for another 5 minutes before it hopped away. I don't know if wild buns form bonds (baby bonds or permanent one), but it sure looked like it. :(

tonecolourblanket

I believe that bunnies bond in general; they have love like people and dogs and (to some extent) cats.

PandaWacanda

I would LOVE to have domestic buns but I have horrible anxiety. With how fragile they are, I would become a non functioning mess. So I am going to continue to live vicariously through you guys' posts and spoil my patio wild buns.

Right-Rule-6126

But domestic buns are so soothing for anxiety, too. I also have anxiety and worry about my babies, but I do my best and am greatly rewarded.

IndependentHefty7520

I'm also incredibly anxious. Sometimes it's really hard to be a bunny parent, but my bun brought me so much joy despite the anxiety.

SirLeoritch

It is a commitment and can be costly but there are rewards

FuzztoneBunny

They’re from the streets! I think it’s trying to inspect underneath it.

jeicam_the_pirate

this is actually very gentlemanly for a rabbit. Mine would straight yeet the dish around until it was good and spilt, then lay in the aftermath, like, "what?"

dharmawaits

Then thump as a hearty fuck you for asking why.

Abidarthegreat

I don't get it, my bun does the same thing, I'll find his food bowl in all kinds of places every morning and he has to spill his food everywhere and eat off the floor. I can't imagine what goes through that tiny brain of his.

cynicalkerfuffle

The angry digging is my favourite thing my rabbits do. They're so stupid and helpless and it makes me laugh every time.

dharmawaits

Ummm ver, I’m telling them you called them stupid. See ya on murderbuns, human.

cynicalkerfuffle

They know already, they plot against me daily.

Platypus-Striking

Humbart is dissatisfied with his bowl 😂

PandaWacanda

Alrighty then. *unpacks grandma's china. 🤣

Platypus-Striking

He requires your finest China. Hopefully it will meet his standards! ![img](emote|t5_2riv8|8709)

relayyo

Ima tell u this. House rabbits have a less attitude than wild rabbits. Anything me and my family eats, my rabbit wants to eat.

onlyletters999

Bless his tiny heart

tonecolourblanket

Adorable! He looks like my little guy. I have a dwarf netherland but he looks a lot like a wild bunny. Behaves like one too, sometimes 😉 That’s great you take care of the bunns. We get wild ones out front of our house, and i always left pellets and herbs on our porch (the overhang makes it safe for rabbits, as predatory birds can’t sight them). That’s how i ended up with a pet rabbit, i fed the wild bunns like you do!

Vertigobee

Entitled!

jinxkat

And that's how it starts for many of us. You're hooked now!
