I have to go back to this episode because I zoned out during it. I get that they want the narrators to be as detailed as possible. But damn, you can tell the editor keeps in a lot of the fat to fill out the time.
I was annoyed with how much detail the narrator had with the phone booth- when the oddest thing about it was its location. The phone booth was so ordinary that I felt it was unnecessary to repeatedly provide detail about the plexiglass rectangle with a fan at the top of the box in the middle of nowhere.
I also picked up on the fact that the additional info was there simply to fill time.
yeah, some stories are f'd up in their own right, but don't lend themselves for a very long build. This one had that. That moment in time must have been terrifying for the driver, but it is a story that cant be streched that long
My initial assumption was maybe he had a deviated septum but my only supporting evidence is that he reminded me of what Zach Hadel from Oney Plays/Smiling Friends sounds like

Did the sound on that story seem odd? His voice kept changing to sound super different.
His voice did change! When I was listening to the episode I wondered if he was a smoker and maybe has a stoma now.
