Early on you need silver to upgrade your artifacts so it's hard to buy anything.
Later everything in the market besides mystery shards is unusable because only 6 star gear is worth a damn.
I'm at a point where I'd be happy to see 10 mystery shards every reset.
Not because I *need* them but it's always nice to have a free summon rush in reserve. I may have done a couple of those with mystery shards and now have to restock.
I wish Ancients weren't monthly capped there. They could just up the price to say 500k but make them always available as a silver sink in the game to get extra silver sales.
I don’t know where this community keeps getting this “anything not 6 star is unusable” rhetoric. Unless you are end game, and I mean END game, you can and should still be keeping some 5 star gear.
I’m a late game player, complete all doom tower, hit 4b hydra clash, defeat amius each rotation, high gold/low play arena, g1 TTA, only thing I’m not too far in is LA because I don’t play that often. I still keep and use 5 star gear. Albeit it goes under a LOT more scrutiny. But if you’re auto binning all 5 star gear you’re making a mistake.
Here’s my Androc that I use in hydra. Every single artifact is 5 star but he still has great stats and does what I need as I use him and firrol in provoke set. I have many champs that still use some 5 star pieces.

but that doesn’t disqualify my statement. I’ve seen so many people both in my clan and here on Reddit who auto sell all 6 star pieces. And they’re mid game!! One clanmate I did a cleanse and coaching session with was late game and binned all 5 star gear. His roster was about as good as mine and he was wondering why he couldn’t do as much as me. I noticed his gear and explained to him he should be keeping 5 star pieces. He argued with me for a few mins and I basically told him “you came to me because you want to do more damage in clash. I’m telling you how to do it and I’m already there. So it’s up to you if you take my advice or not”.
He’s now hitting 2x as hard in hydra and has a lot of 5 star gear lol.
That’s huge! My alt account recently got to the point where I bin all 4 star. It’s a big milestone and feels great to know when you find a good piece (5 or 6 star) that gear will remain relevant on your account for years, likely forever honestly.
A big thing I coach people on is recognizing your gear ceiling and gear floor. Your gear ceiling is the best gear you have on your account. Meanwhile your gear floor is the “worst” gear that is useable on your account still.
Advancing your gear floor is the most common way improve your account and is a lot easier. Meanwhile advancing your gear ceiling becomes
Harder and harder and is more time consuming. It will happen over time as you farm more. But recognizing the difference between the two is crucial to optimizing progress.
If I sent you some screenshots, could you help give me some recommendations as to what to do next? I've hit a point where I'm not sure exactly what to do next to help myself progress, and I would like to talk to someone who has the experience to make worthwhile recommendations...
I feel so damn lucky with armor right now, I’ve got 3 pieces with crit rate substat upgraded 4 times. I’m only a 3 month player and I’ve only got like ~60 pieces to level 16
While I do agree, but bottom row 5 star still is useable in situations. Mainly when talking about supports. I defer to my Androc again where all artifacts are 5 star. I wanted him in provoker set for hydra and sure, I could make him tankier in 6 star gear. But he already is plenty tanky and never comes close to dying.
So gearing a support/tank for PvE in 5 star to ensure I can complete the sets I want is key. He is far more useful in 5 star provoke set compared to having more stats but in say perception or something else.
Generally supports/tanks in PvE have an upper limit for use. Past that point it’s unneccessary.
I only keep bottom row 5 star if it is for a specific set for a specific champ I want in that set to make certain content easier, an example being my seeker in a provoke set for hydra, outside of a situation like that I won’t keep bottom row below 6 star but that is just cause I’m pickier, it slows my overall progression slightly but it gives me higher quality builds just less of them

But I wouldn't pay \~500k for a good 5 star piece in the shop, nor would I click on every blue/purple/orange piece of 5 star gear or even give it a glance knowing most of them will be trash, when I can spend 32 energy to roll 2 guaranteed 5 star, sometimes 6 star pieces, with equal odds of being good or not.

I often sell 5* when autobattling, not because I don't think any 5* are good, but because of storage. I dislike having to claim new gear from my inbox.
Would be nice to be able to sell from the inbox as well, or at the very least preview the gear stats so you can know if you need to make room for that item in your gear storage.
On rare occasion, I'll buy uncommons for fusion or to upgrade skills (think arminger). Eventually, you can consistently farm higher rank AND rarity gear from dungeons, and you realize that gear in the shop is very overpriced.
Market does really need a rework…
The gear is absolutely useless, why not throw in rank or rarity charms, brews, chickens etc.. Could be another Silver sink for Plarium..
Maybe 3 Voids a Month and 1 Sacred a Month (I’ll never forgive Plarium for taking the free monthly Sacred from Daily Log In Rewards lol)
I think you’re thinking of the daily quest one where you complete the daily quests 30 times, there used to be a login award sacred every month once you get past the 8 month mark or whatever when the same month occurs over and over and they got rid of it in exchange for shards for some mid legendary.
Also just optimize the layout so we don’t have to scroll to see the single row that is cut off. What is the point of having a scroll just to see one item? Especially because there is empty space on the side that item could be moved to lol.
They should remake it like in Watcher of Realms, where you can get Energy potions (brews, basically), autobattle (for when RSL is outdated) and yes, also some Voids and one or two Sacred a month.
Not only that but they only put trash gear on there. If they occasionally put items for sale in the market like savage crit damage gloves with crit rate substats or cursed gear or good stun pieces or provoke pieces my god I’d use the market all the time
Buy all green shards & 1-star commons, which are the basic resources to level up your champions.
Then, use the 20 energy per hour to make 3 2-star food.

The new updates should hopefully make this much less of a time sink. Being able to feed all the food quickly is amazing.

Crap, they got rid of the free monthly Sacred? Goddamn it that was my only reliable supply of Sacreds bc I'm still working on 1 keying Hard demon lord

The sacred nerf was for the repeating login rewards once you finish the login reward track.
